I bought a Can-Am side by side in December from Barneys of Brandon and was so impressed with Kenny Guadio's customer service, that when it was time to buy a See-Doo wave runner last month I went back to see Kenny to purchase it. I was buying my See-Doo's and ATV's from Xtreme Powersports in the past, but decided that because of Kenny's personal service, I will be making all of my future purchases from him. Great Service! 5/6/2011

I stopped by the service deparment at Barneys to see if I needed to make an appointment, and how much time it might take to adjust the carb on my Suzuki VL1500, which was running just a little bit slow. Kenny came right out with me, adjusted the carb and showed me where and how I could do it myself in the future, if needed. I can't say how much I appreciated Kenny not just helping me out, but having taught me something that maybe I should have, but did not know. Thanks again! Tony more

Excellent buying experience 4/28/2011

I want to start off by saying I had a great buying experience at Barneys in Brandon. Everyone was very professional and interested in my receiving great customer service. Mitch, Leslie, Andrew and the F&I guy all made for a very enjoyable buying experience. I had to go back to exchange the battery cover, which had been badly scratched before I purchased the bike, and Mitch met me at the front door and promptly replaced the cover with no excuses as to why it was scratched. Thanks again for the great buying experience and I look forward to excellent service experiences with you in the future. more

Outstanding Service 4/28/2011

I recently purchased a 2009 Yamaha Roadliner from Barneys in Brandon. The first week I had it, I had a problem with the battery which was promptly taken care of. This week I took my bike back for the initial 600 mile service. I wanted to recognize Kenny Gaudio for his courteous and prompt attention to both the battery problem and the service job. In this day and age when people are constantly complaining about almost everything, I think it is important to recognize people who go out of their way to treat customers with respect and ensure the work is done when promised. The next time my bike needs service or has a problem, I will go straight to Kenny and will encourage all my friends to do the same. Thanks again for the outstanding service. more

Great Job!! 4/28/2011

I want to take the time and say what a great job the service department has done for me. I had my Raider in this past weekend for a clutch replacement, and Kenny and JD were both true professionals. JD assessed the problem with my clutch after riding the bike, and Kenny promptly went out of his way to order the replacement parts and in no time my bike was running better than new. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the attention to detail and satisfaction I received from these two Barneys employees. Furthermore, it is comforting to know that the person actually doing the work on my bike owns and rides a Raider as well. I live in St. Pete, but I always bring my bike to Brandon knowing that when I deal with these two gentlemen, I'm always going to get taken care of. Keep up the great work. Thanks!! more

Exceptional Employees 4/28/2011

My experience at Barneys of Brandon was quite enjoyable as they managed to fit me in on last Saturday for a 600 mile service with very short notice. I've gotta say, Kenny Gaudio is beyond belief, his intuitive approach to handling customer service needs on a varying case by case basis is almost artful in nature. He made me feel like I had known him for years. He was extremely knowledgeable, detail oriented and super efficient. After owning bikes and servicing them for over 35 years in several states, Kenny is no doubt one of the best in the business. I will never take my service to anyone else. Many thanks! more

Service Appointment 4/28/2011

I just wanted to drop a note saying that Kenny Gaudio handled my service appointment from Tuesday, 3/29 to Wednesday 3/30 very well. It was handled timely and all of my concerns were taken care of. He answered all of my questions and let me know the status of my service so that I could keep track of things. I hope to have him handle my service needs in the future. more

Terrible service department 3/25/2011

One of my employees tried to do me a favor and dropped off my Yamaha Morphose scooter at Barny's Brandon to get a new tire on the rear. He came back and told me that they said it would take 2 weeks to complete this massive project. Yes, not a typo. Two weeks to change a tire. I called Barny's in St Pete. They said, ""Bring it over, we'll have you in and out in 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. I called Barnys Brandon back and asked to talk to the service department mgr. I asked why 2 weeks. He gave me a long explanation that translated ""I'm not very good at my job"" never again. UPDATE!! Got a call back from the service mgr at Barneys. By shifting things around he was able to get me up and running the next day!! Great job Pat. Truely good companies react with action when the pressure in on and I have to admit they stepped up like professionals. I officially eat my words. Barneys is as good as their reputation says they are. more

Everything Was Fantastic 2/7/2011

I purchased a Yamaha Raider motorcycle for my boyfriend. Everything was excellent! The whole staff from sales to parts to the service department. It was an overall awesome experience. I would recommend all my friends and family to purchase from Barneys of Brandon. more

Best Powersports Dealer in All of Florida 2/7/2011

My previous business has taken me all over Florida and into many powersports dealerships. I have personally done business with Barneys and know many who have. They are a family owned dealership for over 65 years and there is not another dealership in the powersports industry that goes out of their way for customer service and delivering true value to their customers. They are by far above the rest. more

Don't ever buy her it could kill you!!! 6/18/2010

I bought a used 2002 Suzuki Intruder 1500 LC VL from the St. Pete location and while this was the bike I was looking for, this wasn't the experience I had in mind!\r \r First, let me say that I had read there was a recall on this bike and while I was checking it out at Barney's I mentioned the recall... the lot manager insisted that there was no recall and that model...\r \r so, we work out the deal on the bike and I return a week later to pick it up... no issues so far, he tells me they have to get a safety check done on it but it should be ready shortly...\r \r I get the bike and leave pretty happy overall because I got a new bike and it is a model I know has a good reputation and I love the way it looks...\r \r well, now I'm getting ready for my first long trip and I call Barney's to see what maintenance has been done on the bike recently and they tell me they haven't done any but it used to be at their Brandon store... I call the Brandon store and find out the bike was there a year earlier and all they've done is Oil...\r \r so now. i go and get the clutch flushed, that was black and if neglected can cause a fire on air cooled bikes... I decide to do the brake fluid as well just in case (again very old fluid)...\r \r okay so at this point I decide I'm not playing around and I get the oil changed... no problems here other than it is old.\r \r the final piece I have to do is the diff fluid in the shaft... I do this fluid and the shop I went to (Motor-sports of Tampa) checks the bike for recalls and sure enough the bike has the recall that Barney's told me didn't apply to my bike and Suzuki had no record of it ever being done!!! \r \r a few days go by and the recall kit arrives so Motor-sports starts to tare the bike apart only to find that the gas tank does in fact have a crack due to the faulty bushings and was leaking gas!!! no I have no bike and the tank is on order (fortunately it is covered by the recall). \r \r Anyway, Barney's took my money... did their ""Safety Check"" and sent me on my way with a bike that was a potential fire hazard for various maintenance failures on their part! so, with that said I wouldn't recommend this bike shop to Van Der Sloot or Bin Laden let alone any friend as they didn't seem to care at all if I could die from their negligence!!! Avoid them like the plague!!! Pros: pros? what pros??? Cons: Just about everything... more
