Best

They were very friendly and managed to fit us in even though we were a walk-in guest on a Saturday. The staff answered all the questions promptly and were knowledgeable.

Worst

This place is a joke. What a bunch of greedy money grubbers. I took my 22+ year old cat in to be euthanized. My family has been struggling wit this decision for quite a while now....

Good service 10/17/2011

This is the second pet we have brought to you and both received first class attention. We are so happy that we have brought them here because of the great work you do. Thank you very much! more

Great service 10/17/2011

Gentle hands and great staff 10/6/2011

We are always treated with so much kindness and respect here and the attention they show the animals is amazing. The staff use gentle hands when handling an animal and know how to gain their trust. When Monster had a nail infection, they fixed it, and were patient with Monster because he's so active. I will defiantly keep this number in my contacts. Thank you so much for the great service! more

Best clinic ever. 6/28/2011

In response to ""what a horrible place? I have been a banfeild client for just over a year now. The staff there is the most caring informative and attentive of any veterinary hospital i have encountered. From what i have read you brought your cat to a veterinary clinic that you had never been too, with no medical records, and it is a veterinarins job to inform you of your OPTIONS. My cat had diabetes and with my low income they helped me help him as much as i could. I euthinized my beloved cat as well, and they made it as peaceful for me and him as possible, and when it was the last option.. theres that word again, option which they gave you, instead of just killing every pet that walks in the door. I'm sure they just wanted to help, and make sure this was the last step. I love banfeild, they loved my cat and sent me a sympathy card signed by the entire staff. I strongly disagree with you, and i'm sorry for the loss of your cat, but they were just doing their jobs. They are the complete opposite of everything you said in this post. I'm sure they had the best intentions at heart, giving you the option to treat, or euthanize they have exceeded my expectations by a long shot, thank you banfield staff!! more

What a HORRIBLE place!!!! 10/16/2010

This place is a joke. What a bunch of greedy money grubbers. I took my 22+ year old cat in to be euthanized. My family has been struggling wit this decision for quite a while now. She was diagnosed with throat cancer 6 years ago in Texas and given 2 months to live. It finally all caught up with her this week. She was passing blood and stopped eating and was clearly in pain. We made an appointment to euthanize her at Banfield, they told me to come in at 2:30,which I did and when I got there they stuck me in a room for 30 minutes and did nothing but make me feel guilty for wanting to 'kill my cat', instead offering to do the humane thing which was apparently to pay them hundreds and hundreds of dollars in blood tests and treatments for diseases they didn't even know if she had. I left, paid nothing (not even the exorbitant office visit fee) and will never enter the doors of that ridiculous place ever again. If that Vet needs a new car she should find a way to do it without taking advantage of pet owners trying to do the right thing. Absolutely shameful!!!!! more

Beware they almost killed my dog 10/12/2010

I took my dog into Banfield because she was very ill she was lethargic and would not eat. Banfield was the only vet that could see her right away and since they seem to specialize in emergencies I thought it was a good choice, boy was I wrong. They had a junior person come and interview me about my dogs condition. They barely looked at her just asked me a bunch of questions. They went out and then a few minutes later came in with a list of tests which came to about $500. They asked me to select the tests I wanted her to have like a chinese menu athey did not give me much discussion as to what the tests would show or what they were for. I opted for an X-ray to start to see if we could get some clue from that as to what was wrong with my dog. The x-ray showed my dog had an enlarged spleen. They told me what would happen if the spleen burst but said to take her home and keep an eye on her. They gave me some pills to take home with me and did not even bother to tell me what they w more

Very happy customers 8/20/2010

I'm surprised at these comments. We've been happy clients here for two years. First vet I've ever been to that my dog was actually happy to visit -- and they always seem happy to seem him. Dr. Wilson is smart and caring; and the vets are thorough and persistent with difficult issues. Love the little extras -- like getting nails trimmed or glands expressed -- that are part of the standard vet services. And the prices are a third of what vet care costs in Canada. more

Terrible people, bad service 5/14/2010

If you care for your pet, take them elsewhere. Not only are their prices outragous( Seriously) their staff is unfriendly and rude. Not exactly what you are expecting when you have your family pet in need. more

Great service, Friendly staff 11/23/2009

I had my cat declawed on Saturday at Dollar Wise Animal Clinic. My cat chewed off his bandages Saturday night and lost a lot of blood. I called the emergency animal clinic but they instructed me to re-bandage his paw and keep an eye on him. Come Monday his paws were still bleeding but Dollar Wise was closed so I took him to Banfield. They got him in right away and took great care of him. He needed pain medication because the doctor at Dollar Wise cut the pads on his paw and then they re-bandaged him and set up an appointment for next Monday to check up on him. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish I would have brought my cat here first, but now that I know I won't take him anywhere but Banfield. Pros: Attentive, honest, friendly more

A Bit Pricy, But Good! 6/4/2008

I think that a lot of people are hesitant to go to Banfield because of their reputation for high prices, but honestly the vets there are fantastic! The two doctors that own it are great with pets and are really good with people too. They have been very compassionate with my pets and myself during some hard times. If you have a cat you should go to Dr. Shannon. She's the queen of cats there. Dr. Giles is great with dogs. Dr. Wilson is also amazing. The only vet that I would not want to take my pet to is Dr. Mudry. She is part time there and she is terrible. I've heard of her misdiagnosing things frequently and interacting with pets poorly. Also, her people skills are aweful. She tends to make people very uncomfortable and can be downright rude. more
