I will agree that it is nice to have weekend hours available. It is also nice that there are nurses you can call for advice and you can make appointments online. However, there are many negatives. The offices themselves are old and dirty and the parking lot is a mess- luckily, their location is moving. I am not impressed with my kids' pediatrician. She is rushed, does not spend ANY time answering questions- I literally have to stop her as she walks out the door. Wait time is bad. And for my and my husband's dr.--we've tried 2 and they both were horrible. Again, long wait, bad nurses, rushed doctors, not helpful or personable. I use the lab regularly, and am always disappointed-I always have an appointment, but I have never had a wait shorter than 20 minutes, even when no one else is there. Appointment time means NOTHING to the lab. This place is good for location and because the practice is so big, you can always get in to see SOMEone. Beyond that, not so good. more

My family and I have been going to Austin Regional Clinic off Mays for about 7 years and it was the best decision we ever made and we are so glad that we found this place due to many reasons. First and the best reason is that they have weekend hours at their Far West location Now you do have to pay $20 more than your copay, but it is worth it to keep from going to the emergency room and sitting for ours. The weekend hours are by appointment and sometimes there is a wait but not as long as in the ER. Both my daughter and son have each been going to a doctor at this location since they were babies and I would not change their doctor for anything! Another plus for us concerning our children is that I have never had trouble getting an appointment for them with their primary pediatrician. The times that he has not been there they have seen other doctors in that office that are available and are just as good. Now for the adult doctors it is a little bit harder getting an appointment at the last minute and then we always have a long wait in the waiting room, but it has been so nice that we can get our children seen so quickly. more
