Installed the aero stream one year ago and now the system needs replacing. The aerator produces such violent bubbling it forced solids into the bed plugging it. Do not buy this ...

GREAT PRODUCT! 1/3/2013

We had received estimates from 5-7k to redo our speptic system. Then I found Areo-Stream. Within one month of installation, the yard was back to normal. I was amazed how quick the system cleared the water in the spetic tank. Great customer service! Thanks Areo-Stream! Don Cable, Ohio more

It Works! 12/27/2012

I live in an area with clay soil and 50 inches of annual rain. After being told by County "experts" that we need to replace our septic system with a pump system to a new leach field at the cost of $20 to $30, 000 I decided to find a new septic service for a second opinion. At their recommendation we installed aero stream. Two years later we have yet to have a septic backup. more

very good 12/27/2012

Very helpful and friendly. Would use their service again. more

Great product 12/27/2012

Our system is original to our home about 30 yrs. This past year we were told we Would need a new system because the system had failed and it was backed up From the leech field. With the economy the way it is, we didn't have the 30k needed for a new system. We researched our options and spoke with others with this product. We decided aero stream was our best option. Six months later our system is working like new! No odor, sewage below marker on box, sewage has no solids it's all liquid. We absolutely recommend the aero stream. more

Awesome product that shows great results 12/22/2012

With an entire replacement of our septic system facing us in the near future, we decided to take a risk on this product after seeing it on the web. Much to our amazement, the system was very easy to install and produced results within days. We will highly recomend this system to anyone facing spending thousand of dollars and tearing up landscaping. more

Excellent 12/3/2012

I installed the product during a heavy use time and still saw improvement. As soon as my heavy use stopped, my dry wells began to actually DRY out. I am not out of water yet, but every day there is improvement. I believe the Aero-Stream to be a great alternative to a new system. more

Aero-stream product opened up the leaching system 11/8/2012

I was told that the septic system was failing and would have to be replaced. It used to overflow thru my distribution box along with this came septic odors. We installed the Aero-stream system on Jan. 1st 2012. A few months after we installed the system, not only has my system dried up but the sewage odors disappeared. The Aero-stream system does exactly what it says it will do! more

Repairs made outside of warranty 11/8/2012

My pump failed after 2 years old - just two months outside my warranty period. Aero-Stream response to my concerns was excellent. Apparently I had crimped the air hose a bit when installing the unit resulting in too much back-pressure and eventually internal diaphragm failure. Aero-Stream repaired my unit for free and were very co-operative and helpful. The unit has been working great ever since I bought it and my septic field is staying dry (no pooling anymore). This product really works and it saved me thousands of dollars compared to a new bed - which is what everyone was trying to see me. Thank you Aero-Stream! more

Never Doubt This System 10/19/2012

The house is a 3000 sq foot house with 2 bathrooms and only 2 people living in it. 90 year old granfather and a caregiver that is there 24 hours a day. Complaints about water backing up and gurgling noises kept coming and septic water was on the ground above the septic tank. The septic was pumped out a year ago and the company said that the drainfield needed to be replaced. I did some research on the internet and found an advertisement for Aero-Stream. I did some searches and found nothing but good things about the company. I told my family what I was going to do to fix the septic issue. Everybody thought I was crazy, my mom, my friends, my inlaws all thought this. They would humor me and tell me "if this works then you need to do this at my house". I bought the Remediator LT since only 2 people lived in the house I figured that they can't be using that much water. I received the unit and called the septic company to come pump out the tank. They came at 4pm on Thursday 7/5/12 and the plan was to install the Remediator early on Saturday 7/7/12. I dug up the cleanout and found that the septic tank was completely full. The instructions tell you to do this on an empty tank and in two days the tank wasn't supposed to be full. I installed the unit anyway and knew the the process would just take a little bit longer to remediate the system since it was full. The installation took no more than 30 minutes. It took me longer to dig the dirt away and lift the cleanout cover. I took a picture every week and corresponded via email with Aero-Stream and they gave me great advice. The odor was still present the entire time and the water would be above the clean out and then below. The water would just not go down and stay down. One advice I got from Aero-Steam was to install low flow shower heads, the next was to check the toilets and install a leak sentry unit in each toilet. I checked the toilets and both were leaking but I never installed the low flow heads or replaced the guts of the toilet. THEN, me, my wife, and 2 kids moved in to this house (the plan all along) and the grandfather and caregiver moved to my in laws. We moved in on 10/6/2012, I installed the low flow heads 1.25gpm, and fixed the leaks in the toilets. ALL of a sudden the water went below the cleanout cover and stayed down. Every Sunday is laundry day so I ran the diswasher, 3 loads of laundry, kids took a bath (5 yr and 3 yr) and wife and I took a shower each. I went outside and the water never came up over the lid. I knew at that time the septic system was fixed. I covered up the cleanout with dirt and it's been 2 weeks and no issues at all. This system saved me at least $10k and some dead trees. The area around the septic has tree roots all over and I was told this would probably kill some trees if they put in a new drainfiled due to them having to cut out all the roots. The joke is on everybody now. They all come to me now for advice on items they are about to buy since they know I'll research it. Thanks Aero-Stream, your product and customer services is top notch. more

leaching bed that has been restored to like new operation 8/29/2012

Karl; On January, 2012 , I was walking around my little half acre when I noticed a wet spot in my leaching beds. Also when ever the sump pump ran or someone flushed the toilet , water would bubble up from the septic tank access cover . I raised the cover and saw a thick layer of slugge clear up to the top of the tank . I went in to the computor and typed in "aerator". An interesting ad came up telling about the AERO-STREAM septic tank aerator with an 800 number . I called the number and had an interesting talk with the factory representative. I ordered the AEROSTREAM , received it and installed Febuary 23, 2012. I am 86 years old and did the installation myself . It was relatively easy . I drilled a hole in the tank cover for the tubing , set the unit on the patio floor and plugged it in the patio electrical outlet . The first day or so the tank had vigorous "boil" and white fluffy foem drifted out across my yard from the edges of the tank cover . Also there was a slight septic odor for a day but that did not last very long . After about a month the wet spot was gone and the tank did not bubble when flushing of toilet or sump pump running . I went out this morning , Aug.22,2012 and raised the septic tank lid and took a look. WOW , the slugge is gone and the tank is only half full .The liquid is being circulated by the aerator. No odor . Karl , if you are ever in our neiborhood , please stop in and I will show you a defective septic tank and leaching bed that has been restored to like new operation sincerly george j. Fantastic product...saved us thousands of dollars! 8/8/2012

Dear Karl - I don't often complete surveys but this one I was happy to do. Your product has saved us thousands of dollars on a septic field that was installed in the 1950's. My husbands uncle put the system in when he built the cabin we now own in Northern Michigan so we had no idea what we were dealing with. We received several opinions from the health department, the septic service and a few companies installing new systems. They all told us we would have to get a new system and pump to the top of the hill because we were near the lake. All of this could be done for $11,000 to $17,000. Since we are only at our cabin a few months out of the year I didn't want to spend the money so I decided to do some research on the Internet and I am so glad I contacted you. We put it to the test over the holiday weekends with our kids and grandkids and it worked with no problems at all. My husband was skeptical but now he is a believer! Thank you so much for all of your guidance and support in answering all of our questions and concerns. I can't thank you enough for bringing this product to market! more

Saved our system 7/31/2012

Our septic is an old one from the 50s and it was totally dead. We were ready to invest in a new system when my wife found Aero Stream on the web.We couldn't resist so we ordered one. It was easy to install and it totally saved our system. Can't say enough about the product. more

Excellent product. It does exactly what they claim 7/30/2012

My septic tank overflowed and it turns out that the dry well, which was 20 years old, had failed causing the backup. The plumber and a "septic tank expert" both told me I needed to replace the dry well. The estimated cost was around $12,000 but we also would have to remove much landscaping and replace it for additional expense. I installed the aerostream unit about 6 weeks ago. Within 48 hours the sewage smell was gone from the septic tank and in the last 2 weeks all the standing water in the pipe that goes down the drywell has receded completely. I am amazed how well this works and I am sorry that the plumber and other experts did not tell me about this solution and I had to find it on my own. The service has been excellent from the company re. any questions. I recommend this product and solution without reservation. Bob Klein more

Fansastic product. Works as described 7/16/2012

I was very concerned after seeing my back yard fill up with water a month or so after I purchased my home. I heard all the stories from my neighbors paying tens of thousands of dollars for new septic fields and Landscaping costs. I am so glad my researh uncovered the Aero-Stream products. I installed the remidiator over 3 months ago. The ponding in the backyard began disipating within several weeks. The back yard has been dry for weeks and weeks eventhough we hvae had several hard rains recently. I would definitly recommend, and have recommended, this product to friends and neighbors. An Aero-Stream customer since 2010 6/29/2012

I purchased Aero-Stream in March 2010 for my marsh front house. The system was installed by my plumber who followed the written instructions and conversed with the Aero-Stream support staff by phone. The septic tank and drain fields significantly improved within 2 weeks. The Aero-Stream system has kept our very old septic tank and drainfields trouble free until the recent 2012 tropical storm rains. Currently,a stiff white foam continuously exudes around the septic tank lid. However, support for Aero-Stream is easy by phone call or email.I confidently report that Mr. Karl Holt will solve this current problem. more

I am thoroughly impressed! 6/28/2012

Mr Holt, My Name is Wayne Simmons and I am Carl Bridgmans son in law. He has forwarded this email to me since I reside in his home, as they have been touring the country for a few years. The house was built sometime in the 60s and they have owned it since approximately 1983-84. I will tell you a little about the houses design to set the stage. It is a split level home with the basement floor level approximately 40 below ground level, and the septic line exiting the home another 18 below that. According to Mr Bridgman, the septic tank was pumped several years ago . Approximately 1 year ago we began having trouble with the sewage backflowing up through a floor drain in the basement which is partially below grade. At first we would auger the line and it would go down eventually. After having a plumber run a camera down through the line we discovered that a drain line had collapsed. This was repaired in December 2011. The problem still continued but augering the line would no longer resolve the issue. We had the septic tank pumped again and the gentleman entered the tank to inspect it and informed us that water was backflowing from the discharge pipe indicating that the drain field was saturated. Of course, after a relatively short time when the tank refilled, the problem began again. We had tried 3 times using Ridex which appeared to help for a day or two but that was all. From December 2011 until April 2012 our family would do everything possible to slow the flow of water into the system,to prevent backflowing. Before installing the Aero-Stream myself, my wife and daughter would stagger our showers and laundry throughout the day. During showers I would plug the drain and allow the water to exit very slowly. We shut off the faucet when washing dishes, brushing teeth, etc. We developed good conservation habits. But it was not enough. Almost daily the drain would backflow. There were numerous times when one of us would be taking a shower and have to immediately stop, to prevent water from rising high enough to damage the wooden floors in the finished part of the basement. There were also times when one of us would be late to work or school because we would have to wait for the water level to go down so that we could take a shower. On more than one occasion we actually had solid waste to backflow into the basement floor. We had the septic system pumped twice during this 4-5 month period. After researching the problem on the internet and educating myself on the effect of biomat, I found a webpage comparing the cost/ benefit ratios for the more common aeration systems on the market. I had also spoke with several plumbers and septic cleaning companies to see what information or experience they had on the aeration systems. On each occasion I was told that they really knew nothing of them but they promised that they would not work and the money spent would be wasted. Of course I realize that they have a vested financial interest in the system not working so that they can earn many thousands of dollars to dig up and replace the drain field. I advised Mr Bridgman that the Aerostream unit appeared to offer the best value on a cost to benefit comparison. As a result he purchased the system and we installed it the weekend after it arrived. We had the tank pumped immediately before installation. I am a maintenance contractor and I went to the extra measure of burying the air line in PVC conduit. The hardest part of the installation was removing the dirt to bury the line and uncover the lid to the septic system. After pumping the single chamber septic tank we assembled and installed the diffuser and installed the filter into the discharge tee. The installation was very simple. I will say, though, that the diagrams in the installation manual are a little vague on where to place the discharge line filter, but we eventually figured it out. We left the septic system uncovered for 8 days so that I could visualize when the level rose to the discharge line. The boil was evident and the odor was minimal (No more than it was when we had the tank pumped). We noticed immediately that the problem was remediated. Approximately two weeks after installing the unit we had a puddle about a foot in diameter to backflow into the floor but it was after all three of us took a shower and washed 5 or 6 loads of clothes back to back. I read in the installation manual that it could be a full month before the total benefit was observed and after about 6 weeks of running, I must say that I am totally impressed with the results. There have been no more backflowing occurrences. We have not had to pump the tank anymore. There is no odor and we can shower, clean clothes and wash dishes at our leisure instead of on a specific timed and carefully paced schedule. I have considered finding a way to market the installation of these systems in our area. By my reasoning your system has saved Mr Bridgman at least $10,000-$15,000.00. You definitely have a fan.
