I purchased your system in Sept 2007 4/21/2009

I purchased your system in Sept 2007. At that time I was having to pump my septic tanks every month at a cost of $325. I had to pump the system the first month but have not had to since then. Obviously I have saved almost $5000. Very satisfied. more

The service and professional manor which Aero Stream helped me as a unknowledgeable consumer with septic systems was first class. Facing a large replacement cost was depressing and frightening. Fixing the septic system with Areo Stream help was simple, logical, and best of all it is working and doing exactly what they said it would... Hi Karl:Per our phone conversation, Your Aero-Steam system is wonderful! 3/19/2009

Hi Karl: Per our phone conversation, Your Aero-Steam system is wonderful! I bought my home in 2001, but it was built in 1955. After about six years I started having problems with the septic system backing up. It took awhile and a couple of visits from the Roto-Rooter people to realize that my septic system was failing. When we got a quote on a new septic system, my wife almost went into toxic shock! Since our house is on a hill, they said that the system had to go about 150 feet down the hill to the only flat area on our property in the front yard. Not only would the system run 10's of thousands of dollars, but a lot of the landscaping (flowers, bushes, trees, grass) that we had done over the past five years would have been destroyed...including a birch grove that we had planted. Your system saved the day! It took about a year until the system cleared and started to recede. Prior to that, I had to drain the system twice. Then it seemed to reach a certain level of about 3/4 of the way up and stayed there for a couple of months. Now is has gone down to about half way. You not only saved us thousands of dollars with the Aero-Stream system, but you also saved my wife's sanity! THANK YOU, David Frank 610 935-5780 more

We are still slow draiing after heavy rains and snow melt 3/14/2009

We are still slow draiing after heavy rains and snow melt. I was very excited after the first heavy rain because it seemed to go down in the tank faster than before we installed the Aero-Stream but after more recent heavy rains and snow melt the difference is barely noticable. I would like to reserve judgement for a few more weeks. more

So Far, the Aero-Stream system appears to have transformed a failing system over the course of just 8 plus months! Although our entire system is only about 6-1/2 years old, it started showing signs of a poorly functioning drain field within 2 years. Pump-outs were required more frequently, up to less than one yea apart. When the septic tank was opened for clean-out just prior to County inspection in 4/08 (and then my install of the Aero-Stream), the tanks covers virtually blew off from the mass of untreated sewage and undrained liquid. It was thick and crusty, but it had been pumped just 5 months previously. After pumping, the liquid rushed back from the drain field as it was saturated and not absorbing much. We were going to have an expensive rejuvenation process done at that point, but the contractor went out of business before it could be done, so I just installed the Aero-Stream system (4/08). Last week, I opened the risers and saw clear liquid, no raw sewage and the liquid wasn't even covering the outlet pipe to the drain field. To me this indicated that field was now absorbing water and the Aero-Stream system was "treating" the household sewage and aerating the drain field allowing it to absorb liquid which it was not doing before. Jenny at Aero-stream was informative and helpful from my first inquiry. I was skeptical, but I had done many hours of research before I called Aero-stream. At this point, I'm a believer! more

My tank was dying fast, pronounced leaking around the lid and effluent starting to pond, not to mention the smell.I was the biggest skeptic,so buying an internet product for such a serious problem was really hard to do,but I'm glad I did! The remediator is nothing short of a miracle. You'll be astounded at the results. Don't let the pump companys told you there's no hope except expensive repairs. Install the sytem(easy to do) and you'll have peace of mind while saving a large chunk of money. Thanks Karl and crew for your great support and outstanding product! more

My aero stream system was installed in mid April 2008 11/20/2008

My aero stream system was installed in mid April 2008. My system was running slowly threatening to back up into the house. (It had backed up during hurricane Ivan and again a few months after that). My septic pumper jetted the main line to my leech bed and installed the aero stream pump. I haven't had a problem since. I am extremely happy with this solution. No mess, no stress, I haven't noticed any change in my electric bill, & it seems very eco-friendly. The best part is no worries about a backup! After 3 years living on the edge, it's a great relief. more

I wasn't sure that the Aero-Stream system was doing its job, especially since I had to get my system pumped out just a few momths after the initial installation and then again 6 months later. That was a year ago next month. I took additional remedial action such as putting in high-efficiency toilets and shower heads, and I put a filter on my washing machine's exhaust hose. Then two days ago my system backed up again. Visions of a new drain field started to pop up in my head. However, when the septic system pros got here to pump out my septic tank, we discovered that the effluent was at normal levels. The septic tank and drain field are working well. The problem turned out to be a blockage in my house's plumbing. Way to go Aero-stream! I doubt you no longer. more

I have lived in Southern Utah for 10 years now 10/3/2008

I have lived in Southern Utah for 10 years now. Our soil out here is clay and sand. The septic system of the home we purchased was 20 years old and we had trouble with it from day 1. I had looked into having it dug up and replaced but the EPA rules and the cost were both prohibitive. An analysis of the situation by local plumbers was that our leach field was saturated and there was no remedy except to add an addition onto the existing line. Because of our remote location it was difficult to find anyone local with the equipment to perform the job. So our solution was to plumb all of the gray water out to water our trees and yard and nothing went into the septic system except excretion. We still had to have the tank pumped out every 18 months or so. Then last year it got worse. The pump-out only lasted about 8 months. Just as I was coming to the end of my rope I discovered the Aero-Stream, LLC website and after reading their informative essay about the process of septic systems I came to the conclusion that my leach-field was covered with a biomat. Since they had a money back guarantee for a year I decided to give it a try. It has been 6 months now and my system is working fine. All the signs point to full remediation. The true test will come in about 6 more months, the period when I would have had to have my tank pumped out again. I am eternally grateful for this product and would heartily recommend it to anyone who loves to live in the country. more

My Aero-Stream unit has been functioning exactly as described in Karl's "White Paper" 9/25/2008

My Aero-Stream unit has been functioning exactly as described in Karl's "White Paper". After only two months I can see the grass is turning greener over the field drain area, and no more backups into my house drains. I am one of their 100% satisfied customers, and have recommended the Aero-Stream unit to others. I'm sure that anyone who deals with his firm will be as satisfied as I am. They are very prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. more

Two years ago I noticed the area at the end of my leachfield had become increasingly wet and would not dry. I contacted both my septic company ( who recommended pumping every year ) and a licenced Title V inspector ( who recommended installing a new leachfield ). Upon some personal investigation I came across Aero-Stream. I decided to install the unit and have been extremely happy with the decision. After apx. 3 months I noticed the grass becoming drier and after 6 months was completely dry. I have had absolutely no problems with my system and would highly recommend it to anyone with septic problems. To top it all off, the personnel at Aero-Stream were very informative, knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for a great product. more

Aerostream unit has been installed since June 6 9/11/2008

Aerostream unit has been installed since June 6. At the time of installation, I was unable to flush the toilet at all because no effluent was moving from the tank into the leech bed. A couple weeks of normal flushing 3 times a day would fill the tank completely. Within the last month, I have been allowing myself to flush the toilet several times a week. Flushing has not affected the level of the tank at all, and the effluent in the tank remains below the inlet baffle - this is where it should be. I am optimistic that the Aerostream is starting to solve my septic problems. I am hopeful the improvement will continue and the system will be remediated. I highly recommend the Aerostream system. more

I received excellent service from Aerostream both with assistance to set up my system and when I had a repair required to my blower unit about 11 months after installation. They are very knowledgeable of the septic tank operational process and can help with any of the issues that may arise with the operation of the system. more

Attached is a copy of the certification for my septic system received last week 9/2/2008

Attached is a copy of the certification for my septic system received last week. You will note that the report states that the hydraulic load test demonstrated our system absorbed 400 gallons of water in 24 hours, which is the state requirement here for a 3-bedroom home for new septic systems. I do believe that your Aero-stream unit was a major factor in our system being able to pass the test. The past spring we had our system inspected due to the fact that we were planning to sell our home. The inspector failed to pass the system because the field was holding water. His test hole revealed that water was standing about 2 to 3 inches above the top of the bed. There had been heavy rains, thus that may have attributed to the level being a little higher, but about 3 weeks later after it had not rained for a week and a half the level was still at the top of the drainage bed. Approximately a month ago (3 months after the initial inspection) I found the level was still about 2” below the top of the bed, or about 10” high in a 12” deep bed. At this point I did 2 things: (1) I installed your Aero-stream unit, the larger model, oversized for a small 3-bedroom house with only 2 occupants, but deliberately chosen in hope that it would produce quicker results. (2) I had the septic tank and a small grease trap pumped out. When the tank was pumped it was discovered that the level in the tank was higher than it should be, indicative that we still had a problem. In fact the level in the grease trap was at the top of the trap near the lid significantly above the outlet baffle. This indicated that water had backed up from the septic tank into the grease trap. As the tank was being pumped first immediately the level in the grease trap went down. Nine days later I had an appointment with a contractor to have a perk test done to start the approval process to install a brand new drainage bed. (During these 9 days your unit was running of course.) The contractor also dug a hole with the backhoe at the far end of the drainage bed. He wanted to see if there was a buildup of biomat. He did find biomat in the bottom portion of the one foot deep drainage bed. He also discovered that the pipes had a lot of sludge in them. However, surprisingly he found that the water level was only about 3” to 4” deep in the drainage bed in the 12” drainage bed. This surprised him. He expressed the opinion that the pipes must be plugged up and that water was having difficulty getting to this back end of the bed. He thus recommended that we have the pipes cleaned with a pressure wash jet cleaning system. The various next day we had a contractor come out and jet clean the system. He had to dig an additional hole at the front end of the drainage field. He cleaned the pipes which had quite a bit of sludge in them, especially at the rear end of the field, but he also discovered that the water level at the front end of the field was only 3-1/2” deep in the 12” deep field. This surprised him. In fact he said that I should have the original inspector come back and perhaps he would now approve the system. I explained that I had installed your aero-stream unit less than 2 weeks earlier, and I believed that may have been the reason for the sudden improvement in my drainage field. The next day I learned that the contractor who jet-cleaned my laterals was also an inspector and could certify my system. I called him and asked if he would do so. He said he had recommended the original inspector since his report would conflict with the original report. However, after talking to his boss and the original inspector and the environmental engineer who had dug the holes for the perk test he said he would approve it if it would pass a hydraulic load test and demonstrate that it could pass 400 gallons in one day. The first day he ran 500 gallons into the field. This only brought the level up to about half full. The next day he could only get 210 gallons in before he was up to the same level. He explained the biomat in the field was causing poor drainage, but that if he raised the water level in the field higher it would drain better out the sides of the field, because there wasn’t as much biomat there. He then added 1000 gallons which brought the level up to about 10”, 2” below the top of the field. The third day he checked it by running 400 more gallons into the field. He found the level had dropped enough that it took all 400 gallons to bring it back up to the previous day’s level. As a result he passed the system and gave the attached certification. However, as this shows we still have biomat in the bottom of the field, and understandably so. Nine days running the unit would obviously not be enough to rid the system of all its biomat. However, it seems apparent that even this short period of time made a big difference. The system can now handle 400 gallons a day, whereas before it was backing up when our daily usage was only about 125 gallons a day. Thank you, RB Conshohocken, PA more

Unfortunately the product did not work in the remediation of my septic system 8/27/2008

Unfortunately the product did not work in the remediation of my septic system. The staff however, were very helpful and made every attempt to ensure the product would worked. When it finally came down to me having excavators install a new septic, the Aero-stream folks quickly refunded my purchase price. Very good customer service and company integrity. Thank you. more

I took a look at the septic tank this weekend and was very happy with what I saw 8/14/2008

Hi Karl. I took a look at the septic tank this weekend and was very happy with what I saw. The tank was full of water, and the diffuser was percolating away. To appreciate what this meant to me, you have to understand the position I was in. I had a septic company come out and look at my situation because the shower was backing up. We had the tank pumped out and a couple of weeks later there was a puddle of water in the area where the lid to the tank is. I had the septic tank company come out again and give me a quote to fix the situation and was told that my leech field was saturated, and would need to be replaced, and that the cost would be around ten thousand dollars. That's when I started doing research on the internet and found you. I took a chance on your company and technology, and I can't tell you how glad I am that I did. I'm attaching a photo I took this weekend of the septic tank. Before we installed your product, the water would not flow out to the leech field, but puddle in the area above the lid. You can see in this photo that the area is dry and that the system is working as it is designed. Obviously, the leech field is now working again. Thank you very much. THIS SYSTEM IS PHENOMENAL 8/14/2008

THIS SYSTEM IS PHENOMENAL.   We were having alot of trouble with our septic system backing up.  We had to limit our flushing severely and I could not do laundry at all. After some research and talking with our local health department, we decided that if it wasn't tree roots, the Aero-Stream might help. We really didn't want to dig the drain field up to find out if it was tree roots unless this didn't work (since we were told we could return the Aero-Stream if it did not solve our problem)BUT, LUCKILY IT DID WORK.  Our system is now flowing freely and we aren't having ANY problems. We have challenged the septic system to the max with lots of overnight guests, several loads of laundry, and multiple dishwasher loads - all at the same time - and not even a hint of any problems (we have an inspection pipe which makes it very easy to see if it is flowing freely).  And, if you lift the lid on the septic tank the water is literally CLEAR - no odor, no scum, it is just amazing!  It was definitely not an overnight process, but I truly believe it is probably the best product around to correct/protect the septic system AND the environment. We live on a georgous lake and want to do our part to keep it that way.   The instructions say after you remediate you can turn off the pump and go back to an anaerobic system but, we are so pleased with the aerobic system's efficiency in decomposing the solids and how well it keeps the water clean and clear going to our drain field,  we have decided to keep it running indefinitely. We feel it's a small price to pay to insure a long-lasting septic system and a healthier environment. more
