This spot is located just a hop and a skip from the boardwalk, and it shows. The fire-engine red building (was once yellow, in its life as the beloved "Van Gogh's Ear" restaurant) has surf culture built-in. The beer is reasonably priced (even better during their happy hour specials), the ambiance laid-back and fun, and the people-watching superb. Just obey the sign requesting that no skates be worn inside, and everything will be cool.
