Having moved 45min away from the practice, I had decided to try a different dentist for the convenience - a decision I would soon regret. During my 6month of pregnancy I broke a tooth and decided I would wait until after I had the baby to get it fixed. A week after giving birth to my beautiful baby girl, my face swelled up. I had a HUGE absess in my mouth. I went to my new dentist - after 2 1/2 hrs of being here, an hour in the waiting room (even though I had an appt) and the rest of the time taking xrays and waiting for him, he told me to continue taking my penicillian and pain meds (which I got at the ER the day prior) and he would see me in 4 days to reassess. I was in so much pain, very uncomfortable, and my face was HUGE. I went home, thought about how I could not go another day feeling the way I did and decided to call Arrowhead. It was 4:20pm and they closed at 5pm. I was told to come right in,even though with rush hour it would take me an hour to get there, putting me there after close, - Dr. Grouin said was going to wait for me. After arriving, I was there less than 30min. He drained my absess, gave me a better antibiotic, and send me on my way. The staff at Arrowhead is so warm, welcoming, compassionate, and positive. They are truly about the patient. Dr. Grouin has been so helpful on numerous occassions. I will now drive th 45min to see him for both myself and my daughter. Going to the dentist is never the most fun, but atleast here they make you feel comfortable and make the experience and situation ""less painful""....both mentally and physically!
