We tried this place for dinner early on Saturday evening - the four of us were the only patron except a few people at the bar that early. The service was quick as to be expected under the circumstances but not especially friendly given the neighborhood aspect of the place. The appetizer, the catfish fry and the shrimp were good. The gumbo was watery and lacking dept of flavor. The desert was different and enjoyable. We eat out often, love cajun and would normally have made this place a regular stop for fish if not for the cajun dishes. However the fact that an 18% gratuity was added to the bill and was not ponted out so we added our customary 20% was a huge disappointment. Of course we should have noticed but we were focused on our friends and that conversation so we missed it. Another case of buyer beware. We have a large network of friends who meet regularly for dinner and we'll be sure to eliminate Canjun Seafood Corner from the list of potential restaraunts for all our friends. Hope it was worth it.
Pros: cat fish yes - cajun no
Cons: 18% added to the bill without warning
