When I moved to Brooklyn from Manhattan nearly two years ago, I was sad to give up my neighborhood wine shop. That lasted only until I stumbled into Sip! Nick and all of his staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It's clear that they all actually love wine and that they taste what they sell. If you're adventurous, they'll look at what you've bought in the past and make recommendations based on that. At Sip the service is very personalized, delivery is cheerful and the mixed-case discount is excellent! I have never had a disappointing bottle of wine from Sip - it's like having your own sommalier.
Pros: well chosen and diverse selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff who will remember you
Cons: i always leave with more than I can really carry!
