Timber Ridge

It took a year for them to take care of a mold problem and when they finally did it required ripping all of the walls out. THEN a dead tree that they refused to take care of fell on my car. The property manager ordered staff to clean it up and dispose of the evidence before photos could be taken and REFUSED to give us their insurance company for three months. It took my insurance company and nearly litigation for them to take any responsibility and even when they did the insurance company revisited the complex and months later there were still many dead trees hovering over the parking lot that they were neglecting to cut down. The property is neglected, retaining walls are crumbing, and the hallways are gross and unkept. They have families living there with 9 or 10 children in a two or three bedroom and they do not care. Children play in the parking lots, throw balls and toys around the cars. The noise level is crazy and if people are playing music at 1am they tell you to call the police and will not deal with it. I lived here for seven years and it started off average and decent for the price and has decompensated to unsafe, neglected and hazardous. They also refuse to deal with the many people that walk their dogs off leash and are more worried about whether people pick up their dog crap because that is something that affects them and they don't want to have to pick it up. Bottom line....It's an unsafe dump with office staff that will interfere with an insurance investigation and engage in unethical practices to cover up their own incompetence. more

New management took over the property last summer and all they do is blame problems on the previous management. When noise or maintenance requests are made they will be ignored for weeks, and noise is a huge problem. You can hear everything your neighbors do from their middle of the night trips to the bathroom to their pounding music at all hours or even just their conversations so they can hear you as well - good luck on maintaining privacy. The parking lot is directly outside of the bedrooms (literally about 3 feet away) so depending on what floor you live on headlights will shine directly into your bedrooms at night and you will hear car doors slamming, engines running, and people yelling. Also, since the apartments all face into each other by the pools there are constantly people right outside your back porch or balcony and dog poop fills all the grassy areas (so watch where you walk).Parking is a problem because the sap from the trees will drip onto your car and damage the pa more

Rent is reasonable but utilities are through the roof. It cost almost $270 to heat a 2 bedroom apartment for one month. Most houses don't even cost that much to heat. And that doesn't include electric. Our apartment had water coming in from busted pipes in the laundry room once and from the apartment above us one time and we have only been there 6 months. Another tenent has woke up to water coming in his kitchen 4 times in 4 months and they have yet to correct the problem. That's bad business if you ask me. I moved my girlfriend and her friend into the Timber Ridge Apartments and I couldn't believe what I saw. First, upon walking up to their unit the hallways were damp and musty. When I got to their door, I turned the knob to see if it was unlocked and the door opened even though the deadbolt had been engaged. Now, the actual unit itself probably hadn't changed much from when the previous occupants were living there. The carpet had been replaced, probably due to the fact that the previous inhabitants had owned a dog. The dog poop along the bottom of the vertical blinds proved this theory correct. The kitchen cabinets had been pieced together with used bits of particle board and the stove was flecked with paint. Now, this would make you think that the place had been painted, but that was not the case. I have lived here for over five years now,and find it to be a nice quiet ,safe place to live. The staff here is very nice and very accomodating.They offer walk in closets,a wooded area , a club house and ,5 swimming pools.They work very hard to keep the areas clean and are pet friendly.They offer move in specials and the rent is good for the area we live in. Heat and water though, are not included. PROS: Friendly,safe,quiet,pet friendly CONS: eat and water not included more
