great choice 6/23/2010

I found this dealership on the web after hearing a radio comercial for used trucks.I called a salesperson when i found some vehicles online that I was interested in,he was helpful on checking to see if they were available.I did make an apointment and drove up from 25 miles away when i got there the vehicle had been sold, the salesman asked me to leave $ over the phone but I chose not to.Fortunatly they had others come in since I origanilly called and the salesperson had some in mind to show me.I did pick one out 2006 GMC and am vary pleased with my deal. Thanks Mitch Pros: large inventory, enthusiastic Cons: no parking more

Good Deal 6/22/2010

I am not so sure what all the fuss is about Sundance. I just bought a 2007 pre-owned car and I had no problems at all. They had the car I wanted and we worked out a price that would work for me. The whole process of taking it for a drive and working out a price took only an hour to complete. I came back the following morning and signed all the paperwork and took my car home. Job well done as far as I am concerned. Thank you Sundance more

Great place to buy a car 4/11/2010

I just recently bought a 2003 Honda S2000 and cannot say enough about this awesome dealership. After finding the car on Cars.com, I called about it and was told over the phone the exact condition that it was in. I placed a deposit down over the phone, and was emailed a receipt in about 20 minutes \r About a week later, I flew into Lansing Airport from Philadelphia and was picked up at the airport. After getting to the dealership (which isn't the prettiest thing ever, but who cares when the price is right?) I was greeted by Joe Hanks, and the car was waiting for me gassed up and ready to go. I took the car out for a drive, and fell in love with it right away. After going back in to the dealership, I asked Joe if I could get the car on a hoist to check it out underneath it. He made it happen, and wasn't offended or put off by the request. While we were waiting for it, we went back to the computer and filled out paper work, and he gave me a autocheck.com report on the car that he printed r more

I just recently bought a 2003 Honda S2000 and cannot say enough about this awesome dealership. After finding the car on Autotrader, I called about it and was told over the phone the exact condition that it was in. I placed a deposit down over the phone, and was emailed a receipt in about 20 minutes About a week later, I flew into Lansing Airport from Philadelphia and was picked up at the airport. While we were waiting for it, we went back to the computer and filled out paper work, and he gave me a Autocheck report on the car that he printed right in front of me. Since this was my first car being bought from a dealer, I wasn't sure about alot of financing terms and conditions, and Joe was more then accommodating, never appearing to be put off by my dumb questions or annoyed I was asking such basic questions. After we had come up with a financing package and going over the numbers again, Joe wasn't pushy when I told him I wanted to think about it for a couple of days. Never once was Joe upset, he quickly said sure no problem, and we came up with 3 days to make up my mind, and to try to see if I could get a better financing package. Just before I was going to get a ride back to the dealership, Joe recommended that I take the car for another ride, and we went back out for a pretty long time (25 mins). I fell totally in love with the car at that point and never once did Joe ever seem pushy. At that point I had to get back to the airport to catch my flight, and Joe tried to find someone to give me a ride back to the airport. However, no one was around, so Joe stepped up and offered to drive me himself, again in the S2000 I was looking to buy. Never once did I feel any pressure, and they even offered to drive me all the way to Detroit, which is about an hour and half away. Leaving the dealership, I was never pressured to buy anything, never felt as if I had to do anything I didn't want too, and was treated with respect. After reading some reviews on google, I was very nervous to buy a car from Sundance, however, most of the reviews were wrong. Yes the dealership is huge, sometimes it takes a long time to find a car. Yes it's not the prettiest building ever, and yes there are problems. However, overall the dealership was far superior to anything else. The prices are much lower, the people working there are great, and it was a totally painless process. Whenever I'm in the marking for any kind of car, the first place I will look will be Sundance. Pros: Great prices, good service, not pushy Cons: Bad building, takes a bit to find a certain car on the lot. more

Go Elsewhere If At All Possible 2/19/2010

Purchased a car online through Sundance. We made ""numerous"" telephone and email inquiries trying to learn the actual condition of the car. Despite asking every question we could think of, including, ""Please describe any blemishes, dings, dents, scratches or any other issues whatsoever that you would want to know about if you were buying the car from someone nline"", what they HID from us and carefully did not tell us until after we received delivery was that: (1) the rims were rusted out, (2) the wheels were then spray painted at the dealership so you couldn't see the problems in the pictures, (3) the car had more miles than advertised, (4) the spray paint went all over the breaks and breaks pads and drums, (5) the rear wiper didn't work, (6) there was a deep chip in the paint, (7) several dings in the bumpers, and above all, (8) the car was completely infiltered with stinch from years of smoking and then covered up with cheap after-shave air freshners. Totally SURPRISED AND SHOCKED. This experience alone has proven once again that you should never buy something (especially a used car from Sundance) that you haven't seen and inspected yourself. Caveat Emptor (i.e. Buyer Beware) is certainly something I should have remembered when buying a used car online. I guess I fell prey to the idea that you can actually trust someone to tell you the truth when you ask. Hard lesson to learn when you spend that much money, but I'm pretty sure it won't happen again. Pros: They had the car we wanted to buy. Cons: They hid the real condition of the car more

Sundance Chevrolet is HORRIBLE! 11/4/2009

This review is partially directed to Musiqchika! After reading all the, mostly negative reviews and then reading Musiqchika's review and having my own story to tell this is what I think of Sundance!!!! I was referred to salesman Mark Korn by my best friend and her mom. My friend is 27 years old and has been buying cars from Sundance ever since she got her driver's license. Her mom has purchased more than a dozen cars and trucks from them also. I assumed that because they are such good customers, I could call this salesman and be treated with honesty and respect! Boy was I wrong! My first issue with them is the "loss" of a vehicle they have advertised on their website. I was in the market for a 4x4 SUV and found a 2005 Trailblazer Limited. It had heated leather seats, sunroof, 4x4 - all the bells and whistles. I call Mark and tell him about this good find. He says he is going to find out what is going on with this truck, make sure they still have it and call me back. he call more

intelligent staff, cute salesmen & great prices! 10/14/2009

I bought a vehicle from Sundance almost a year ago and could not be happier! Alex Orta was the most polite individual to work with in purchasing a vehicle, not to mention easy on the eyes. I have since had to make a few appointments with Sundance's maintence department per your regular maintence needed on a vehicle and everyone was very kind and respectful. Being a younger woman, I always fear being taken advantage of when it comes to the maintence of my vehicle and I feel very comfortable and trusting with the employees of Sundance. For those negative reviews written about Sundance, I believe those people to be un-intelligent, incompetent people in this world who have no social skills and were offended by the forward sales approach that the Sundance salesmen took in order to try and complete the sale. With the economy today, I commend the people that choose to work in the car sales field and believe that Sundance upholds its valued commitment to the community to sell great cars at low prices. Pros: excellent service, great vehicle & polite salesmen more

good service 10/14/2009

I recently bought a car at Sundance from Alex Orta. He was very helpful. I got the exact car I wanted at a great price! Thanks Sundance! Pros: friendly service more

Great Customer Service and Amazing deals 10/7/2009

I bought a car from Sundance a little over a year ago and would have to disagree with all of the negative comments. Along with a great deal I had a fabulous experience with customer service. The guys there are more then willing to help you out with finding and financing a car that best fits you and your price range. Among those salesmen is Brian Perkins. Great guy! He made my experience with Sundance very worth while. He was willing to take it to the limit to get me everything I was looking for in a vehicle, as well as within my price range. I would definatly go back to Sundance to purchase another vehicle and would also recommend it to people I know looking for a great used car at a reasonable price!!! more

Great Service! 10/7/2009

I recently purchased an '09 G6 from Sundance Chevrolet and am very pleased with my experience! Mark Korn was my salesman. He was very knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. I've been driving my car for quite some time now and haven't had any problems whatsoever. When I needed an oil change, I called Mark and he was able to fit me in, in a reasonable amount of time. Not only have I had a great experience thus far, my payments are very reasonable. Sundance took into consideration the amount of money I was willing to spend and found the perfect car to fit my budget and lifestyle. I would definitely recommend Sundance Chevrolet to anyone who is looking to buy a new or used car. They are able to find a car to fit you and if it's not on the lot, they're willing to spend their time looking for the perfect car for you at auctions and other various places. Again, I'm very pleased with Mark Korn and Sundance Chevrolet! Pros: Very informative more

sales, service, everything get an E in my gradebook! 11/10/2008

This dealership is horrible. I looked at cars similar to the one I was interested in at Sundance at other dealerships, but chose Sundance b/c of the lower mileage and price for the vehicle. Boy was I wrong! Do not buy from here, or take the car to a very qualified mechanic before purchasing. I did not notice some problems with the car b/c I am not experienced in that area. Then, the brakes started making noses. So, I took it into a mechanic I trust. When I found out that the car needed new front brakes (they were metal on metal), new inner tie rod, alignment, and 4 brand new tires before I've even had it long enough to get it's first oil change, you can imagine my disappointment. Upon calling Sundance they sounded like they would help. They said they would assist me with the costs as much as possible. I took it into the service dept. to have it looked at. After 5 hours they called me to tell me what I already knew was wrong with the vehicle and told me that the used car depar more

Deceitful salesmen and overpriced cars = [S]tealership 8/18/2008

At first they're friendly and will try drastically to find some common ground on which to base a conversation -all downhill after that. Lets be honest if you do your hwk on a model, you will definitely know more about that car than the salesman. Heck I am an enthusiast of the car make and had owned two up until a year ago. I let the salesman know this from the start and he instantly lit up with excitement knowing it wouldnt be hard to market to car to me. He even tried to deceive me by saying its a great car for such a low price that the first offer didn?t fall through because of a loan and that two other callers had inquired about it earlier that day. Anyway, the salesman took two days off without letting me know so I couldnt keep the third party mechanic appointment that I told him I wanted before the end of the week. At negotiations, he offended me by invasively asking about my monthly budget. This is the ?Oh we can certainly meet your budget? game. Then when I offered my buying price he debated about how his resources were more legit than mine even though mine were from Edmunds, KBB, and some private sellers. I even actually knew the trade in value and condition of the car from a friend of the previous owner at work, and I negotiated from there keeping dealer profit and market price in mind. He was shocked I knew that because he showed me some jacked up tradein/market values. The dealer also marked the car for several features that weren?t present on the car like HID and refused to negotiate with money but instead pushed for unnecessary rust coating and overpriced warranties. When I finally asked for the sales manager he seemed upset I asked to speak with him. I even had to call back after a week to get my deposit back that was promised to be credited on that Monday. Overall, the dealer put a ridiculously high price on the car all because he knew I was in the market for that model. Greedy stealership. Pros: friendly salesman until negotiations and the whack commercials Cons: over priced used vehicle and deceitful salesmen more

Horible service 4/24/2008

I agree with the negitive comments made about sundance! I have been to them to inquire about a used vichile and recieved the same treatment. I had an online price printed out and was also told the car I was interested in was $2000 more than the internet listed price. When I brought this to their attention I was told that deal was only for the ""people who did thier homework"". The sales man showed me numerous cars outside of my price range that I had told him point blank I was not interested in and that it was a waste of all of our time to look at them. He continued to show me anyways. He told me my trade in vehicle was worth $2500 less than blue book because the ""tires were bad"" which was the only thing wrong with the truck. He stumbled over himeself when I located the same vehicle as mine online and on the lot selling for twice as much as I was offered for mine, without any of the upgrades my truck has. He treated me like a neieve woman and I was very offended. I will never recomend them to anyone and would hope that those who read this do not waste their time going to a dishonest and unfriendly car dealership. Pros: If youre lucky they will pay for driving out Cons: Most the time they don't!!! more

Dishonest and Unintelligent Salesmen 4/23/2008

Our experience with Sundance was horrible. Our salesmen kept showing us cars we specifically told him we had no interest in. I know little about cars but knew much more than the salesman. He had a hard time finding the cars on the lot. None of the cars have prices listed on them. We had internet prices printed out but did not tell the salesman until he told us the car we were looking at was over $1500 more than their online ad said. When it came down to making an offer the manager was extremely dishonest and rude. They kept throwing papers in our face with fake prices saying that they paid $1000 more on the car than what they were offering us and they were losing money. Then they kept adding fees and useless rust proofing plans into the price. We kept being told we couldn?t afford the car and there was no way we were going to get a good monthly payment until they pulled my credit score and it was extremely high. Then they changed their tune but were still trying to be deceptive with pricing. Hey would lower the price of the car but add in a fee and their service plan. We kept calling them out on it and it took awhile. We found a few unmentioned defects on the car on the way home and the salesman blew us off when we called about them. Again, they are deceptive so be careful. To top it all off, the salesman left us a message on our answering machine trying to sell us the car that we had just traded in. It was hilarious because he was saying that the car ran great and how great it looked despite that it ran poorly (we told him all the problems it had) and it had been in an accident with one side dented in. The only reason we ended up getting our car there was because we did pay less than other dealers but be careful, if you are not smart about it they will screw you over. Pros: Good deals but you need to work for it and see past the deception Cons: Deceptive, dishonest, rude, and ignorant salesmen more
