I just recently bought a 2003 Honda S2000 and cannot say enough about this awesome dealership. After finding the car on Autotrader, I called about it and was told over the phone the exact condition that it was in. I placed a deposit down over the phone, and was emailed a receipt in about 20 minutes
About a week later, I flew into Lansing Airport from Philadelphia and was picked up at the airport. After getting to the dealership (which isn't the prettiest thing ever, but who cares when the price is right?) I was greeted by Joe Hanks, and the car was waiting for me gassed up and ready to go. I took the car out for a drive, and fell in love with it right away. After going back in to the dealership, I asked Joe if I could get the car on a hoist to check it out underneath it. He made it happen, and wasn't offended or put off by the request. While we were waiting for it, we went back to the computer and filled out paper work, and he gave me a Autocheck report on the car that he printed right in front of me.
Since this was my first car being bought from a dealer, I wasn't sure about alot of financing terms and conditions, and Joe was more then accommodating, never appearing to be put off by my dumb questions or annoyed I was asking such basic questions.
After we had come up with a financing package and going over the numbers again, Joe wasn't pushy when I told him I wanted to think about it for a couple of days. Never once was Joe upset, he quickly said sure no problem, and we came up with 3 days to make up my mind, and to try to see if I could get a better financing package. Just before I was going to get a ride back to the dealership, Joe recommended that I take the car for another ride, and we went back out for a pretty long time (25 mins). I fell totally in love with the car at that point and never once did Joe ever seem pushy. At that point I had to get back to the airport to catch my flight, and Joe tried to find someone to give me a ride back to the airport. However, no one was around, so Joe stepped up and offered to drive me himself, again in the S2000 I was looking to buy.
Never once did I feel any pressure, and they even offered to drive me all the way to Detroit, which is about an hour and half away. Leaving the dealership, I was never pressured to buy anything, never felt as if I had to do anything I didn't want too, and was treated with respect.
After reading some reviews on google, I was very nervous to buy a car from Sundance, however, most of the reviews were wrong. Yes the dealership is huge, sometimes it takes a long time to find a car. Yes it's not the prettiest building ever, and yes there are problems. However, overall the dealership was far superior to anything else. The prices are much lower, the people working there are great, and it was a totally painless process. Whenever I'm in the marking for any kind of car, the first place I will look will be Sundance.
Pros: Great prices, good service, not pushy
Cons: Bad building, takes a bit to find a certain car on the lot.
