When I got my car I did seem to run into a lot of problems. It was not so much with the car itself, it was more the paper work and financing. They did tell me they would fix a c...

some leader for the staff 1/10/2012

Got a great deal from the best salesman ever. If you go to Sundance for a car or truck you got to buy from Bobby Popp. He is the most honest laid back easy going and knowledgeable salesman I?ve ever had the pleasure to deal with. Strangest thing happened when we were signing the papers though. All of a sudden out of nowhere I heard a mans voice yelling extremely loud. I turned around to see what appeared to be a salesman standing between 2 desks at the other end of the building his head kinda hanging down. The voice kept yelling at this guy and I couldn?t believe he just stood there and took being belittled like that in front of the customers and his piers. The voice finished yelling at the guy telling him to ?go walk the lot? and he went outside. Shortly after that the voice could still be heard saying what a ?stupid s.o.b? that last guy was. About that time I saw this little dude walk from behind a wall and strangely enough it was the owner of the big mouth yelling at that poor salesman. I had to laugh cause the scene reminded me of the old TV show Taxi when Danny Devito playing Louie Depalma came out of his cage revealing the fact that the guy with the big mouth rude manners and a severe Napoleonic complex was in some twisted sort of way the boss. Like the old saying goes, ?Truth is stranger than fiction.? Come to find out the jerk with the mouths? name was Johnny Vesalli and he?s suppose to be the general manager of the dealership and in charge of the whole place, what a jerk. Good Choice HaroldTerry Hanks way to protect your investment. more

WHAT A DEALER....ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!! 8/20/2011

What a dealer !!!! We just bought a new Malibu and we had never step foot on the dealer grounds or talked to a sales man before this deal it all started with the commercial then a phone call. I talked to the finance manager then he handed me off to Pat Wilcox our salesman. Pat went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get us what we were looking for they didn't have the color we wanted and also said a 2011 had more rebates then the 2012 because of the year end clearance. so we said ok get us a 2011 so they did a dealer trade with another local dealer. Keep in mind we have yet to step foot on the dealer grounds.Once we had the car located and at Sundance next came getting financed and that was also very easy he gave us the interest rate and payment and it didn't change one bit from the phone calls to delivery! I can not say enough about this dealer and our salesman HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this dealer more

DIRTBAGS 8/17/2011

Suffice it to say, they will be building snowmen in hell before I EVER go back to Sundance again. I purchased 2001 Aurora in Feb 2011 that was advertised as having heated leather seats, amongst many other features, and 2 key fobs so all the security features could be utilized. What a joke! I was hit by a drunk driver on I-496, my car was totaled, and I was seriously injured. Once I got back on my feet and was able to drive, I was a little desperate for a vehicle, so this is truly a case of buyer beware. I ended up leasing this vehicle. I drove it off the lot with an empty tank and was given a gas voucher...for $6. I hadn't even gotten it to the gas station less than 2 miles away, when the "check engine" light came on. I took it to Auto Zone and had them run diagnostic codes and found out the O2 sensor was bad. They fixed it free of charge and told me when I picked it up that they had ordered 2 new key fobs (4 mos later, I still haven.t seen them, I asked for key fobs for 2 mos straight more

CROOKS!!!!! 8/17/2011

I hadn't even gotten it to the gas station less than 2 miles away, when the ""check engine"" light came on. I took it to Auto Zone and had them run diagnostic codes and found out the O2 sensor was bad. They fixed it free of charge and told me when I picked it up that they had ordered 2 new key fobs (4 mos later, I still haven.t seen them, I asked for key fobs for 2 mos straight). There are NO heated leather seats. There never was. Not even a button or switch anywhere for heated seats. Anyway, after the 02 sensor was replaced, the check engine light was on again in less than 48 hours. This time is was the speed sensor and air intake valve. Would Sundance fix it? Sure, and they would pay 15% of the bill! I took it to another dealership and had the oil changed and was informed I had 10 lights bulbs out. They were able to replace only 7 of them. The sockets for the other 3 need to be replaced, they are corroded because of all the condensation that gets behind the light covers. The car starts when it feels like starting, and its not the battery. As soon as the weather started to warm up, I tried turning on the air conditioning. You guessed it...that doesn't work either. All of the sensors that are part of the luxury of an Aurora are shot. NONE of them work...tire sensors, oil sensor, security sensor...doesn't work. I wrote to Nick C, financial manager, about this to no avail. I finally called him 5 weeks later and was referred to Joe H, leasing manager. I explained all the issues to him, he said he would call me back ""later"" and 5 weeks later I am still waiting. Did I mention the trunk also smells musty and the spare tire well fills with water when it rains? The trunk lid itself fills with water. The spare tire well is one big rust stain and the trunk stinks. When I complain about any of this, I am told things like, ""My check engine light has been on for 2 years now, its probably nothing"" or ""the problem is the seals on (insert various auto makes and models) were known to go bad and...."" --and I am still waiting. To add insult to injury, on August 11 received a letter postmarked and written August 10 telling me my car payment was a whopping TWO days overdue, and if I didn't pay it in 5 days they would take legal action. On August 16, they showed up to repo the car. It cost me $420 to get the car back, but there is a co-signer on the lease who was never even informed. They buy cars by the dozens at auctions and they do what they need to in order to make them look decent and start. I agree with the previous writer who said people who go there are nothing more than $$ signs walking the parking lot. They have roughly 50 salesmen (according to another salesman there when I mentioned there had to be at least 25 other salesmen). I went to Courtesy Ford in Okemos 4 weeks ago and got a used Ford Escape for 2k more than this Aurora was. It runs like a charm and is mint inside and out. AVOID SUNDANCE LIKE THE PLAGUE. more

experience as nice as buying a car can be 8/10/2011

We have purchased two trucks from Sundance. I DO NOT enjoy shopping for vehicles. I just wish that shopping for a car was like going to the grocery store. The price tag is $1.99 and that is what you pay. Wheelin' and Dealin' is not for me. Our salesman, Jim made the experience as nice as buying a car can be. We bought our first truck from him and we returned to Sundance because of Jim. more

pleasure to work with 8/8/2011

I would say that my experince with Sundance in Grand Ledge was a good one. I have to confess I can a little demanding at times. Shone was wonderful. He worked extremely hard for me to get into a new car. I would ablsolutley go back. I left with a car that I am very happy with. Nick also was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to someone else. MY experince was anything but bad. more

Overall, I'm very happy! 8/3/2011

I had a great experience buying my first (although used) car. I am a graduate student with a limited budget and not once did they try to sell me, or pressure me, to buy something outside of my budget. I didn't feel any sort of pressure and felt very comfortable doing business with them. This was my first car buying experience and I have to say that they really worked hard for me and my budget. The selection is great there and I ended up with a great vehicle for my needs. I worked with Lupe specifically and he was very honest about the cars we looked at and made some really great recommendations to me. Overall, I'm very happy! more

A very pleasant experience. 8/1/2011

We went to Sundance as a last place dealer to help our 18 year old daughter purchase a car. All the other dealers we tried simply didn't have a car in the price range we wanted to be in. Oh, most were willing to check the auctions for us and get back to us, but we needed the car now, not later. Sundance was able put her into a car that was newer, clean and low miles for exactly the price we were willing to spend on it. I do mean exactly, not a penny more then we were willing to spend. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience. more

We are happy with the quality of the car and our salesman 7/27/2011

We had gone looking for a used Grand Prix, found the one we wanted put $100 on it to hold it and set the day that we would be back to pick it up. It was only supposed to take a couple of weeks for us to get the money. As it ended up, we were not able to get our money until almost two months after the date that we had promised. But, as long as we stayed in contact with our salesman they continued to hold our car for us. So very pleased with there willingness to make the sale and the quality of the car that they sold us. more

We are very pleased with the car 7/26/2011

My fiance and I stopped in to Sundance Chevrolet looking for a reliable fairly inexpensive vehicle. We found a loaded 2004 Taurus for a GREAT price and it ran beautifully. Our salesman even offered to let us borrow it for the weekend to make sure it was the car we wanted. We are very pleased with the car we bought and the service at Sundance. more

Sold us a car with a washed salvage title! 7/24/2011

After asking if the car with low miles had been in an accident, we were told no. Needless to say after numerious repairs, we found out the car had been totalled in an accident and given a salvage title. It was repaired and taken to Ohio to be washed, brought back, and then they sold it with the ""new"" title. STAY away from these crooks!!!! We did sue and were returned our money after 1 1/2 years of legal crap! more

I have never had a problem with them 7/14/2011

I have purchased 3 vehicles from Sundance Chevrolet in Grand Ledge and I have NEVER had a problem with anything. I have always received my dollar a mile checks and my salesman is so friendly and helpful. I recently purchased a Jeep Commander. It was a 2006 and spotless. When I asked for a Carfax report they gladly ran one for me so I could check out the vehicles history. more

Don't go near Sundance 11/6/2010

My son bought a Grand Am there last December. He still owes $6000 on the car, has put about $1500 in it and it only starts sometimes. My mechanic who has 40 yrs experience does not know how to fix it. It has something to do with anti theft device. We would be grateful for someone to steal it, if they could start it. He has a job and a baby and this being stranded constantly may lose him both. He has no more money to put into it. He couldn't afford the warranty. I don't know what to do as the car is in my name because of his credit problems. I guess if I can get it started I will try to foist it off at a loss, which I can ill afford as I am retired. more

Shady dealership 10/2/2010

i bought a 2006 chevy cobalt from Sundance about 6 weeks ago. The car had only 19000 miles on it, and it seemed to be at a reasonable price, at $7200. I found it on autotrader.com at this price. I called to get the details, and spoke with a salesman who told me that it was a stick shift with leather seats, power everything, and a sunroof. I asked if there was anything wrong with the car, and he said no. I asked if I could put a hold on it until I could come look at it, and he said that he would have to go out on the lot and find it to be sure it wasn't already being held. \r About an hour and a half later, he called and said that he found it, but it had just come in and had not yet been inspected or detailed, and I could have it held, but it would not be ready to look at for a day or two. \r While waiting for him to call back the next day, I pulled up the autotrader ad to show a friend, and it showed $9900. I called the salesman to ask what was going on, and he said that it had been misp more

Above and Beyond to get me EXACTLY what I wanted! 9/16/2010

I purchased a 2003 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4. When I went in to look at a 1992 Ford F-150 and JIM VERHOUGSTRAETE (Jim V.) went above and beyond to get me the truck of my dreams. Since then I have absolutely loved the vehicle. When I had trouble getting financed they lowered the price just to get me driving this amazing truck! I had heard a lot of bad things about Sundance but they hooked me up so well that I will always return there for future vehicles. Heard bad things? TRY IT ANYWAY. NOTHING TO LOSE AND EVERYTHING (PLUS MORE!) TO GAIN. more

Very pleased with our purchase 9/15/2010

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Randy Blackwell for listening to our request on what we had to spend and the wants and needs of my family. I had a family reunion coming up and no transportation. Randy jumped right in and started searching for us a van. He called us with info seemed like immediately, had taken it on a test drive, and at that time let us know before hand the minor glitches and flaws that come from buying a used vehicle and within a couple of days, we had the paperwork signed and we were on our way. We highly reccomend buying from Mr. Blackwell. more
