Was told that I would receive a call the day before with a time window. Sure enough, I received the call as promised. The day of the appointment, the service man called to notify me that he had a cancellation and wanted to see if I would be available earlier than the promised time. When he came in, he was friendly, and knowledgeable. Explained the work he was going to do and quoted me a price prior to making the repair. He was fast and efficient. Put down a drop cloth to keep my floor and rugs clean while he worked. They aren't the least expensive place for service, however, I am willing to pay premium pricing for premium service. I called about 4 other companies before committing to SW Fireplace. They were the only ones that did not seem ""gimmicky"". They made me feel comfortable and trust worthy. Will certainly use them again. more

We had Alan helping us. I did lots of legwork on the internet learning about converting our wood burning fireplace to gas. Alan explained everything (lots of times, I kept stopping in), then again to my husband. The unit works great, Alan helped us get the right unit. Installers were very prompt, neat, polite and efficient. I have recommended Alan to my neighbor. more

I got lucky getting Shawn. He was awesome! He worked with me all the way through, was very friendly, knowledgeable, helped me keep the costs down; and he was very patient with the changes I made while we were finalizing the order. I never felt patronized or any condescension. (If I did, I would have walked away, as I have NO patience with rude people anymore.) He even kept in touch while hospitalized from a cycling/car accident! I'm more than ecstatic with the result! I LOVE my fireplace. It's gorgeous and makes the room! I've posted pictures on Facebook and it got rave reviews : ""Wow, totally transformed the room"". ""Gorgeous"", etc. The workman were all extremely respectful of me and my home. They treated my home as if it was their own (and their wives were over-looking the job lol). Kept everything clean, gentle with furniture, etc. If you want outstanding service, I'd highly recommend that you contact Shawn Dye at the Southwest Fireplace, Frankfort, IL location! more

Southwest fireplace sent out a technician name john he's an asset to this company nice guy and I find him to be as honest as they come unlike Kevin who's gonna sell you the Brooklyn bridge ask for john and no one else and your gonna be very pleased another guy named john I was very nice and helpful . Ask for john the tech to come out as your tech and you're going to happy and pleased, thanks john for the great service. more

My sales rep was Alan & from start to finish my experience was fabulous. I'm shock with some reviews I read. Jim & Rick did the install & time wise was great considering what needed to be done. Everyone was polite & professional. I got the install day & time I requested. I live my new converted fireplace & thank you Alan for help making my experience the BOMB. I am reviewing Southwest Fireplace based on their repair service. We had a technician come out today and he was supposed to arrive at 3pm. He came at 3pm exactly and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Yes, it is pricey to have a repairman come out, however it is more reasonable if they could fix the problem within thirty minutes of arriving. The repairman worked very quickly to repair our fireplace in the thirty minutes allotted and was very successful with it. Our fireplace was up and running within 15 minutes. We were very satisfied with Southwest Fireplace and would use them again for any repairs we may need in the future. more

Southwest Fireplace was my saving grace to finishing off my new home. I went into their Frankfort store unaware of their ability to provide MUCH MORE than fireplaces and their servicing. After receiving a beautiful fireplace and an incredible installation job, I returned to their store for my outdoor patio construction. I was able to get all my appliances and stonework completed for my outdoor kitchen, as well as a firepit. Great customer service on top of it all! More than impressed with Southwest and will reccommend their service to anyone. more

Dan and his team did a fabulous remodel of a very old brick fireplace. I had an idea of what my dream fireplace should look like and Dan made it happen. It was a big remodel and another store wasn't interested in even trying to see my vision. If you need someone with a creative mind to help you customize your fireplace, go talk to Dan! more

We had a wonderful experience at Southwest fireplace. Allan did a wonderful job in helping us select the perfect door for our new fireplace. Our experience was so good with the door we went back to Allan and bought gas logs and burners today. We got great customer service from Pam who called us in advance of our installation appointment. Installation was neat, clean and on time. more

This company gave me great service at a great price! I live in Manteno, IL and my local Manteno shop wanted twice as much as SW Fireplace charged me. The guy from Southwest Fireplace came out, took off his shoes, was very nice and fixed the problem within 30 minutes!\r \r I was very impressed that they came out to me from Frankfort so quickly and charged me a fair price. more
