I came here and liked the salesman and their prices. They had all the good stuff for a decent price. So at 3 PM I hand the guy my new Center Dash kit. I give my car in at 3 PM for him to install my center Dash navigation system. Now when I handed it to them they couldve said\r are there any other pieces with this? but no. they waited until 7 pm to call me and ask if I had the brackets for the mount. Im glad they waited 4 hours to figure out I needed the brackets. Why didnt they ask me right then at 3 PM if I had \r the bracket? Anyway, I go there at 7:30, They were trying to improvise putting in my new navi system and when they couldnt do it I just told them to put the old piece in because they were taking way too long messing around. 1. They wanted to put the new navi piece\r in without brackets so it would slide around and probably break ( 465$ navi system ). Real professional. Then the guy has the NERVE to say ""Oh would u mind if I just leave the new dash in?"" So i said no put the old one in\r and he gives a smartass reply ""Oh what do u need to do, sing?"" I said no I want a radio in the car. They get done close to 8:30 at night. I had them put rims on and thats all I paid for. After they put everything back, My horn DIDNT WORK...\r My heat light button on my car didn't work either. Not having a horn is a REAL safety issue and im annoyed I didnt have it. VERY NEXT DAY, A cab driver cuts me off and I slammed right into him. Why? because I didnt have a horn to warn him\r that I was driving. I was going 40 mph not even fast. Yellow taxi driver too ( they are the worst ). So I called them up later and cussed the one guy out because I was furious. The idiot says to me ""U should give us a chance to fix the horn""\r Well 1 u shouldve fixed the horn when u put all the original pieces back instead of trying to get out of there quickly. So they installer calls me back and TRIES TO BLAME ME BECAUSE HE SAID I WAS THE IMPATIENT ONE AND IT WAS MY FAULT THAT THE HORN\r WASNT INSTALLED PROPERLY. They handed me the key, When I was in my car, They Closed and they were all in their cars and left. Don't go here. That is my experience with them and I might even try to sue them for leaving me without a horn. Thanks Soundtrax... more

Unprofessional, avoid. I made an appointment to drop off my 2009 Toyota Yaris for a new radio, they took the make and model number when I made the appointment and quoted me a price of $300. I dropped off the car at the time of appointment and was told it would be ready in a few hours. I got a call that night stating that they were missing a part but it should be in tomorrow and they would need to keep the car overnight. The next day they called and said they couldn't put a radio in that make and model car. It took allegedly professional installers two days to figure this out? Incompetent and unprofessional, I will never go there again, I rather deal with someone that knows there business and doesn't waste my time. more

I don't write many reviews, especially good ones. But, these guy were terrific-- professional, courteous, neat, fast- and they deserve credit for it. I needed a new stereo for my Honda minivan. After an extremely frustrating visit to Best Buy (and several unanswered phone calls to their installer), I gave up on Best Buy. There's a surprising concentration of car audio places along Route 25 in Centereach, and I pretty much picked Sound Trax at random. After my experience at Best Buy, I was wondering if I shouldn't make do with the old,busted stereo or figure out how to install one myself. Still, I gave it a try. My experience at Sound Trax was great. Nobody tried to upsell me. Prices were good. Installation was excellent. They said installation would take an hour. They started working on it exactly when they said they would, and it was done in 50 minutes. That includes taking time to sync my phone to the stereo's bluetooth and explaining to me how all of the different functions work. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Really excellent. more

These guys are true Professionals!!! I have been to many of stereo shops in the Tri-State Area over the years and by far this is the BEST place that i have ever seen!! I decided to bring in my 2011 Honda Accord in for a new stereo system. I spoke with a lot of shops concerning my new sound system and these guys were the most knowledgeable. They took great care of my car and it sounds AMAZING!!! Charlie Totally Hooked me up!! What a Stereo, all my friends are Blown Away. I cant wait to go back to buy some new rims and tires for my car. They had over A HUNDRED RIMS ON DISPLAY . I couldn't believe the selection and styles they had to offer. Im so Happy i found these guys and for all those other guys who wrote poor reviews on here,i can't imagine them being true!! These Guys are the EXPERTS!!! Don't think twice, i would recommend SOUND TRAX to all my friends and family!!!! more

I had many of my cars done here, ALL with great results! These guys know what they are doing! I had 2 MAJOR systems done here and they sound AWESOME! I recommend SoundTrax to all of my friends and family. Anyone who has any problem with these guys must not know what they're talking about! 5 Stars!! Brought my vehicle in for stereo cd player installation as well as an alarm system install with power door lock actuators. Took this place six and half hours to install. Told them at the beginning that I lived 40 miles away and that I would have to wait. They told me 2-3 hours. After 4 hours, I asked what was up with the car and I was told it would take 6 hours. Very littel to no waiting area too. When the vehicle was returned to me, the interior was a mess and wires showing. Very poor workmanship. If they were such pros at installing, then doing this simple install would have been quick and neater. Plus charging 3% fee for miscellaneous material is a total rip off. Just another way to make a quick buck. Next time I will go to their neighbor 50 feet away... Grand Prix Car Stereo. this is the place for mobile audio. salesmen very knowlegeable. installers at the top of their game. besides audio they install remote starts and alarm systems. i had a new audio system, alarm, and remote start installed by this establishment into my 2004 chevy trailblazer ext. these folks are totally professional. besides mobile audio and alarms, they have a window tinting service and a full compliment of after-market custom wheels.
