As Roto-Rooter installed my first water heater I already knew what great service they do, so when I needed to replace my water heater when it started leaking I immediately called Roto Rooter. They came out the same day at the time they stated and the technician Bryan #1663 was extemely knowledgeable and efficient. I would definitely recommend Roto Rooter any plumbing problem. more

Our kitchen sink backed up today. I tried to do the manly thing so I bought a pipe wrench, a snake and some drain cleaner. Two hours later, my wife insisted I call Roto-Rooter. Adam (Technician 929) showed up in less than an hour. He was one of the most courteous and likable workman we've ever dealt with. He explained what caused the back up, where it was probably located and how he would use a long 75 foot snake to clear it. He then set about checking the plumbing that I had already disassembled ( I couldn't progress very far because I didn't own the right tools) and he showed us how the original plumbing was rusting through. He helped us to decide whether we should go with metal or plastic replacements, and discussed costs. He didn't try to direct us to the more costly service or parts, but he did explain the pros and cons of metal versus plastic fittings and he helped us determine what the best course would be for the long run. He applied Roto-Rooter Pipe Shield treatment and explained how it kept pipe free of build-up and how we should use it regularly. He then cleaned up after himself leaving absolutely no trace of a very dirty job just having been completed. We are going to hold onto his name and ask for him specifically if we need any other plumbing or sewer services in the future. more

Roto-Rooter really did make my troubles go down the drain - in this case it was a shower pan drain. It kept on leaking and stained our ceiling, caused mold...well you get the idea.\r \r The nice thing was the online appointment, and they called me right back to confirm and also confirmed through email.\r \r Roto-Rooter (Brian) came on time, with a positive attitude and took care of it. He gave me a couple of scenarios up front about what the problem was, told me what the cost would be and stuck to that quote. Roto-Rooter responded quickly to a blocked sewer problem. The plumbers had the drain unplugged quickly. We even got a free camera scan of the sewer line! more

I called Roto-Rooter's toll free number and was able to get an appointment within three hours of my call on the same day! Try that with any plumber and see what you get. Bryan, the technician, arrived within the timeframe that I was told he would be there from the dispatcher. When he arrived, he greeted me and introduced himself. After this, he asked where the problem was and I took him to our basement where the leak was evident and where it had affected our ceiling tiles. Then I took him upstairs to our master bathroom and showed him the toilet. \r \r After seeing the problem, Bryan went out to his truck, got some tools, a bucket and a vacuum and began to remove the toilet. Bryan also had a tarp that he laid down where he was working and kept everything clean while he was working. \r \r On the first try to fix the problem, Bryan was unsuccessful. When he tried flushing the toilet, it was still leaking which led Bryan to have to try a second repair method. This time, it worked. more

Middle of the night, on a weekend, and there's 6 inches of water in the basement. Roto-Rooter was out in less than an hour, and never even woke up our daughter! For plumbing, emergency or otherwise, in Cleveland, they have to be at the top of the list. more

Our pipes collapsed under our slab home. Roto-Roter detected the problem and clearly showed us on video what our issue was (they even left us a DVD for our records). In order to fix the problem our kitchen, hallway and laundry room floors had to be dug up and new pipes run that were up to code. In addition the pipe leading under the garage and down to the street had to be relined to prevent any future collapse. From start to finish we had an extremely professional team who worked efficiently for a week to get the job done. Steve #3116 and Al #703 including 5 other employees worked components of the project. Steve and Al made recommendations to help reduce, not only the cost, but further disruption to our home. Steve worked all day and even into the early evenings. We are very satisfied with the quality of work and we would highly recommend them for any project! more

My plumber John (tech# 2723/invoice# 16736752)) was very knowledgeable and professional. He arrived within an hour of my initial call and was able to locate and take care of the problem quickly. I was very impressed with the time he took to make sure to explain everything to me. I've had other plumbers from national companies out before and always felt like they were not very professional and were more interested in rushing everything just to leave as soon as possible. 06/12/12 Roto-Rooters plumbers: Truly outstanding! My father just passed away June 1st and I'm still caring for my wheelchair confined mom. My house is a plumber's nightmare, The bathroom sink had been clogged for more than a year, there was no water pipe leading to the outside, and the flue pipe from the hot water tank had rusted, crumbled, and fallen off. I am a senior citizen with Multiple sclerosis and a limited income. Because so often people of my age and condition are taken advantage of,it is what I had come to expect and guard myself against. When Scott, the plumber from Roto-Rooter, arrived at my door on Thursday 5-24-12, he was an unexpected surprise. He was kind, courterous, knowledgrable, professional, and a life saver. He right away realized that odorless, poisonous carbon monoxide was escaping from my hot water tank. Scott made the resolution of that potentially life-threatening problem a priority even before he tackled the rest of my nightmare. By the time Scott left my house I could use my bathroom sink, I had a water pipe leading to the outside, and most importantly I was no longer inhaling poison. more

Our tub was draining water very slow until eventually it would not drain. We got the phonebook and called Roto-Rooter, the rep I spoke to was very professional and friendly i was given great help in setting up to get a plumber to come out. The plumber showed up within 20 minutes, he was very nice, helpful and friendly. Our plumbers name was Ishmell he unclogged the drain in no time. Ismell expalined everything he was doing and what some of the causes for the clog in the drain were. He gave us great advice on how to prevent the drains from clogging up again. With Ismell's advice we decided to go with the Pipe Shield, to prevent an issue like this to happen again. He explained out this Pipe Shield worked and told us how to use the Pipe Shield. come home late 4-25-12 to a backed up drain in the basement. i went online and put a request in for the next day at 8AM, and by 805 they were knocking on the door. We had mike stover # 229, who was knowledge in the plumbing experience and mentioned that he's lived in cleveland his whole life so he was knowledge about the problem. after 6 long hours they cleared the plumbing and ended up finding a bigger problem in the street. i would recommend Mike and Roto Rooter to anyone who is looking for excellent and knowledgable staff. more

On a Sunday afternoon, my husband and I walked into our house and it smelled horrible! I went into the basement and saw that our main waste line had backed up, and there was waste spreading over the basement floor! Roto-Rooter was the first business that my husband called. Within minutes Randy(#7655) showed up and explained possibilities on what could have happened, and our possible options. Unfortunately I had to call my mother(who lives in south Florida) and ask to borrow the money but before she would, she wanted to speak with Randy. He took the time to patiently inform my mom on what was going on and the options. He was very friendly and professional. He contacted Mike(#1063) to get the machinery we need to get this clog out, and in no time Mike showed up. Even though my husband and I were freaking out, they helped us remain calm by letting us know exactly what was going to be done and executing it in a very timely manner. This horrifically smelly job was no problem what-so-ever these brave men!! :) After all was said and done, less than 2 hours since the service call, they cleaned up all their messes and even helped and gave good tips on cleaning the last bit up, and how to prevent it from happening again! Excellent job, I'm amazed at how good your men are compared to other businesses. They informed us about the guarantee and since we live in a house built in 1900, we will definitely call Roto-Rooter for any future problems more
