Called as a result of a leaky toilet. Problem was identified by Derek in less than a minute. He explained why the leak was occurring, along with options to fix. While he was here we walked around the house (my suggestions) and ended up reinforcing the other bathrooms in the house. Did it need to be done? Probably not, but I feel much better taking the route of preventive maintenance as opposed to waiting for something to break and having it cost me twice as much. I also mentioned that I was going to do something painting in a couple of the bathrooms. Derek coached me through how to properly remove and replace the tank so that it operates correctly afterward. I also had a ""gunked up"" water line that is feeding my refridgerator. I appreciated Derek's troubleshooting mentality. We didn't fix the refridgerator (yet), but I'm left with a couple fo options that I can take prior to having Derek come back out to comb through the water line. The options are certainly less costly at this point, so it's certainly worth pursuing as an initial step. If those work then great. If not then Derek can come back out, with an understanding of the issue, and hopefully resolve quickly. Though I hope not to have to see Roto-Rooter again, I do feel comfortable knowing that I can call someone who really understands the business that they are in. Thanks. more

Excellent customer service. Plumber came on his day off Mike #229 and was very determined to fix our plumbing problems. Mike made several attempts snaking our sewer to unclog our drains. I love roto-rooter plumbing! We've called them three times in the past week and a half for separate issues (they all happened at different times, otherwise we could've gotten it done in one shot!) and each time they sent out someone very promptly to help us. Once it was even at 9 p.m. when we had an emergency! Mike helped us out the first time really thoroughly answering our questions and fixing the plumbing issues that came with buying an older house. He stayed until the job was finished, which ended up being 6 or 7 hours! I was really impressed with his character, his work ethic, and his knowledge! more

I worked with John. I keep seeing number 3623 here about him, but my reciept says 2723 so it might be a different John. In any case, this guy was a hero. We've had problems with our toilet and sink for over a year, and couldn't call a plumber because the last one quoted us 1200 dollars to fix it. I finally worked up enough money to do so, called Roto Rooter, and they sent John. He said he would take care of it, and estimated $400!! We have money leftover to take a weekend somewhere, and my lady and I couldn't be more happy. He worked hard and tirelessly - fixing both issues in two hours time. No price was raised - and even when a suprise problem hit, he thought his way around it instead of resorting to further charges on the bill. So I was in a real bind... we just returned from a 5-day vacation from the Smoky Mountains and I entered our master bathroom only to be welcomed by a stench more foul than Satan's toilet. I immediately flashbacked to 5 days ago, just minutes before leaving for the Smoky's, recalling my wife shouting from a distance, ""Honey, Abraham (our son) pooped in the master bathroom and the toilet won't flush. Please take care of it!"" Well, I kind of sorta FORGOT and, uhhh... that would explain the diabolic stench that was currently strangling me. I didn't know what to fear more, Lucifer's presence or facing my wife's 'understandable' rage. I frantically wrestled with the murky abyss that was my toilet, but to no avail. Lucky for me, my wife was in the backyard bragging to her friends about what a great vacation we just returned from. Seizing this window of opportunity, I made the next best guy move... I started to formulate the most creative excuses... plus, I google'd ""emergency toilet repair"". Well, Roto-Rooter popped up. I phoned them and within 15 minutes Mike showed up at the door, latex gloves on, and blue shoe covers. He unclogged my toilet in 5 minutes (found part of a toilet cleaner jammed in the pipes), left no trace of my blunders, and was out of there 15 minutes before my wife got off the phone... all for a very reasonable price. Talk about a clogged drain! The tub drain in the main bathroom was completely blocked. Even the bathroom sink water backed up into the tub. I called Roto-Rooter and in 25 minutes Mike & Dennis arrived at my home. Talk about quick response time. They were both very professional and friendly. Mike explained what they were going to do and options if the first attempt to clear the drain didn't work. Like most repair jobs at my home, nothing works the first time. My basement flooded due to a storm we had two days before. I really didn't know what to do because water was still seeping in at the base of my walls. I called a few people and no one could help me. Prompt, helpful and excellent service from local Cleveland plumbing company - Roto-Rooter. I contacted them on Sunday afternoon around 4pm after my tenant had called that the sewer in the basement had backed up and there was quite a mess down there. Roto-Rooter was called; they said they would have someone out that evening. I received three (3) separate phone calls keeping me informed of timing on when a technician would be at the home. I received the last call thirty minutes prior to the appointment. When I arrived, the technician was pulling in the drive. Right on time. The technician introduced himself, as Jesse and proceeded to investigate the issue. He promptly started the process of snaking the sewer line and clearing it up. All mess was cleaned up and he provide a courtesy camera view of the entire drain. He also discussed jet washing the lines and the benefits of preventing future problems. When my hot water heater wouln't stay lit an internet search came up with several plumber listings. I chose Roto-Rooter because I recognized their name and have seen their vans around the Cleveland area many times. It was 8:30 p.m. when I called and advised that I needed/wanted a new hot water heater. As promised, Floy the plumber arrived within an hour. Floy quickly assessed the situation, gave me the pricing and with my approval went to work removing and installing the new unit. It was a tight fit with little room to work but Floy was professional and never lost his cool. Roto-Rooter's service was exceptional and I would highly recommend them and, of course, I will use them again when the need arises! more

The customer service people were exceptional and dispatched a plumber almost immediately. I knew that I needed/wanted a new hot water heater and within an hour Floy the plumber arrived with a new unit (at 9:30 p.m.). Floy's superior knowledge and skills made the removal and installation a breeze. He kept me informed the entire time and was quite pleasant.
