Two weeks ago I went on USAA's (my employer?s) Car Buying Service and received a great quote for a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. I was very interested in that vehicle as a gift for my wonderful mother. I went in early Saturday morning and Dolores (who was the nicest, knowledgeable salesperson I've even dealt with) assisted me with the test drive and paperwork. It ended up being that they didn?t quite have the 2012 I had received information on, however, Dolores and her great management team decided they would slightly honor that price with a 2013 Sonata with a few more amenities that my mother would have had ever expected from a vehicle. I was so impressed with the courteousness and respect that Dolores and her manager gave me. Once in financing, however, I felt slightly bullied and pressured to add an Extended Warranty package for the car. I had to say "no thank you" at least 4 times; until finally after I told him that it felt like I was buying a lemon, and that?s why he was being pushy, he stopped. Needless to say regardless of that minor situation my entire experience was the best... I?ve had 9 cars since I was 18 (now 35) and have never experienced what I did here! I highly recommend RMSH and will definitely revisit them when I decide to trade in my Jeep or BMW. Thanks Red McCombs Superior Hyundai for making me feel very special and not just like another customer. And thank you Dolores, for EVERYTHING you've done thus far! P.S. My mother loves it!! Red McCombs Superior Hyundai 8/30/2011

I purchased a new 2011 Hyundai Hybrid Sonata at Superior Hyundai. After only one day, my wife and I noticed that it had bad hesitation problems from a stop to go or when starting into an intersection, it would hesitate and shudder. We took it to the dealer Maintenance and was told that there was nothing wrong. After complaining to the Company, they sent a supervisor from the Houston office and after driving our new Hybrid, was told that this was the way the car drove. We considered this a Safety issue for San Antonio Driving. They would not take the car back and I ended trading it back to World car, losing almost $5K on the trade-in with only 575 miles on the car. Finding out the new Sonata does the same thing. What a rip-off from Hyundai and Superior. Will not buy another Hyundai and urge Buyers beware. Do your reviews on the Sonata Hybrids and 2OT's. Poor performance and poor gas mileage. Do not believe the window sticker!!! more

Don't bother 3/18/2011

I found a used vehicle online and sent them an email along with a financing application. I was contacted a few days later and asked them about my financing application and if it had been approved. We went back and forth, each time they never answered my question and they kept giving some speal about being the best at customer service blah, blah, blah. Finally I told them I was only interested in that one vehicle and if I was approved we could set up an appointment to sign the paperwork. Still they refused to answer me. Finally I just ignored them but I'm still receiving emails from them! I told them we have nothing more to speak about, never contact me again and I promptly put them on my block list (phone and email). more

So I?ve been to tons of dealerships in my life time and I know not one treats you like Red McCombs Superior Hyundai. The selection of vehicles here is unreal; I think the only thing that was complicated was choosing what vehicle I wanted. I strongly recommend going to their web-site to take a look around, a sales professional will contact you in a timely manner and here the ultimate customer service experience begins. Walking into other Hyundai dealership in San Antonio was like walking into an empty office and hearing a pen drop to the floor? Not here! Everyone was energetic and courteous; this just goes to show employees are happy which solidifies how Red McCombs does business. more

Don't take anything they say at face value. 1/19/2009

First, they showed me cars outside of my stated price-range. Then I had to haggle for half an hour to get the car I wanted down to the blue-book value. I purchased it pending my mechanic?s approval. When it turned out to have a bad transmission, they did take it back without too much hassle, but they weren?t nice about it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! 12/14/2006

Do not go here. We went in looking for a specific range and were bombarded into a wayyyy higher priced car being promised that they could do it with our specific payments and down payment. We were told to go ahead take the car home (it was late on saturday evening) and we could sign the papers monday morning. Being raised in the car business I knew better then to leave without a signed deal however the sleazeperson assured us everything was set we would just "finish up" on Monday. Well my husband calls monday and was told by our sleazeperson we got the deal you wanted just come in sfter work well surprise surprise when we got there they needed triple down then what we had agreed on and the monthly payments were almost double what we expected. Well needless to say we did NOT keep the car they did drag it on for almost a week saying we are working on a better deal just keep the car for now ( I assume using the time to try to convince us to take it anyway) well after the week and still no answers we finalllly got our down payment back and left the car. I must mention that our "salesperson" never ever talked to us after that inital day!! We were also promised a $1000 internet gift card for all our inconveinience yeah haven't seen one yet and I am NOT holding my breath! It appals me that people treat others this way I know we all expect car buying to be pushy and stressful but this was a new extreme I've never seen! Just go somewhere else!!
