Filters 2/13/2014

I have really been happy with Red McCombs Hyundai. I have a new Sonata Limited Hybrid and everyone there has been so helpful and wonderful. So why the 4 star rating and not the 5? Well, as the title says filters. I took my car in for it's 10,000 mile change and maintenance. The staff all are as I said wonderful but the price of just the cabin filter was astronomical. I could have replaced the filter on my own and saved quite a bit of money, more then half. The filter ran 45.04 and Labor was 59.04. I didn't have to pay the labor because I have the assurance package but that total bill for a cabin filter with labor would have been 100.49! I paid 45.49 all total myself. Now yes the service rep came out to show me the filter and asked me if I wanted to replace it. I didn't ask how much it was and said go ahead. Yes, that is on me. I'm just saying that I could have done it for a lot cheaper. Win some lose some but next time I will be sure to replace that type of stuff on my own. Anyway again I really love the place and am very happy with my new car and the treatment and service I've received. more

Astute and Efficient Staff! 2/11/2014

I drove my 2006 Hyundai Tucson until my engine begin failing. Post receiving quotes for repairs, I decided to trade in my vehicle for what i could get for it, and to purchase a smaller vehicle. as a full time nurse and full time college student, I was initially worried about making abrupt accommodations for transportation. It took the Hyundai staff approximately 8 hours to process and complete my paperwork, but I was able to complete my trade in and my new car purchase the same day. In the process, I was appointed a better Lienholder and I was placed on an awesome payment plan that fits my budget! The overall experience from working with my salesman to hashing out figures with my finance officer was a very positive experience. I drove home the same day with a new 2013 Hyundai Accent. more

Failed to honor Warranty 1/13/2014

They denied me a warranty claim because of "aftermarket parts" even though they can't prove that any of those parts caused the problem. Researched the issued about plastic intake manifolds breaking and they're many cases all over the US but since Hyundai denies those claims then they can say that there is no cases of manifolds breaking. It's a bad practice and the dealership should always support the customer. If you must buy a Hyundai, don't buy it from here. more

FAST & EFFICIENT OIL CHANGE APPOINTMENT 1/10/2014

We visited the dealership on the weekend before Christmas for our vehicle's first oil change after purchase. The staff was friendly, the wait for service exactly the amount of time quoted, and remarkably, less expensive than we'd expected. We will definitely be back. more
