Penny Lane Apartments

I moved into this complex, with much hesitation, about six months ago. Fortunately it wasn't as bad as what I was expecting after reading reviews online. I haven't experienced any stereos thumping or felt unsafe and I go out at all times. The apartment (I live in 2br/2ba) and for the price it is well worth it. For under $690 I have a washer and dryer, two large batrooms, walk-in closet in master bedroom, and tons of storage space.\r \r Now the negative things are that you hear water through the pipes, there are quite a few kids who are loud at times, the maintenance never seems to respond to requests, and the office staff serves no real purpose from what I've encountered. As for the descriptions, they are misleading. My unit has no ceiling fans at all, the hot water heater, stove, and refrigerator are all quite old. I Have friends living in this apartments,the pool most to the time is dirty and all they do is close the door for days . THE STAFF IS TERRIBLE, I LISTEN THAT THE MANAGER TALK WITH A NEIGHBOR ABOUT SOMETHING, AND SHE SCREAMED, ALL THAT WAS HEARING THIS BAD EXPERIENCE,THE APARTMENTS HAVE COCKROACHES.\r \r YOU CAN LISTEN ALL THAT HAPPEN IN THE SECOND FLOOR,THIS APARTMENTS IS TO OLD!!! THE TRASH AREA ALWAYS IS DIRTY,DONT HAVE KIDS AREA.... MY FRIEND DONT SEE THE DAY FOR MOVE TO OTHER PLACE...\r \r THIS APARTMETS DONT HAVE SECURITY STAFF, THE MESA POLICE VISIT THIS SIDE OFTEN, AND I KNOW THAT YOU CAN'T WALK IN THE NIGHTS BECOUSE YOU CAN BE ASSAULTED... If you like thumping stereos and car alarms all night and day then this is the place for you. I would rather have peace and quiet so I can't wait till this 6 month lease is over with. The management promises the world before you move in , then ignores you afterwards. All complaints are promised to be addressed but forgotten as soon as you leave the office. Also repairs promised at lease signing go undone. A neighbor had a friend fall through the stairs recently because of the disrepair of the steps. It had been brought to the attention of management several times. Just one example. more

This complex has changing management every six months. The staff did not follow thru with their promises. Acccommodations were not maintained, exercise equipment was always broken down. I would not recommend them to anyone. more
