When my friend suggested we go out for dinner at The Old Warsaw restaurant I was a little reluctant. I love French continental cuisine and although I had heard wonderful things about the restaurant, I had always put it in the ?special occasion? category. With a little less than a twist of the arm, he got his way. I called to set up a reservation and luckily there was one available for the next evening. When we arrived, we were greeted by the complimentary valet and helped out of our car. We were enthralled watching the sharks in the huge aquarium while waiting for our table (which only took a moment, thanks to the attentive hostess). The wait staff, all clad in tuxedos, seemed eager to tend to us. We were sat at a lovely table dressed in a white table cloth and set to the tee. We were pleasantly surprised when our conversation was interrupted by the live piano with violin accompaniment. What a wonderful touch. Our evening was almost perfect and we hadn?t even looked at the menu yet! \r

We both ordered off the five course menu. I couldn?t decide between the brie soup and the lobster bisque?..but after much consideration I decided on the lobster bisque and it was fantastic. My friend, however, chose the brie soup and was just as pleased with his selection. We were later told by our server, that the brie soup is made from scratch, bowl by bowl, throughout the evening. We each opted for the Greek Salad and it was superb! My friend ordered the Goose Liver Pate for his appetizer and absolutely loved it! We loved the sorbet between the appetizer and the entree; it was an incredibly nice touch. When our entrees arrived, the Lobster Thermidor was amazing and my friend still hasn?t stopped talking about his Filet Mignon! The Bananas Foster for two was the perfect ending to the perfect evening. We had a great dinner, a great evening, and I learned a valuable lesson. Any night becomes a ?special occasion? when dining at The Old Warsaw!\r
