I have dined on a quarterly basis for 5+ years and struck up a first name basis with Al who is the owner. I purchased a $250 gift card at a charity auction for well over face value. I dined with a major account on Saturday night, 3/10, well exceeding the gift card amount. I realized after dining that the card was 40 days expired (which is my fault, as was pointed out I should have read, my fault). In a friendly manner I asked the owner if I could receive at least partial credit (even a comp desert), at which time I was ridiculed and told no, I should have read the card. Appalled, I explained that I dine on a regular basis and with such treatment I would not return for future business. I was told ""so what, I don't care"". I have spent in excess of $3,000.00 with the Old Warsaw, and to be treated in this manner is sickening. I, at least, expected partial credit. I did not expect to be rediculed by the owner. His advice, ask the American Red Cross for a refund. Dine here? Dallas has too many fine restaurants with credible ownership to support such a ""minor league"" operation.
