The Best OB doctor with magic hands 10/29/2013

I highly recommend Doctor Heath Miller. He is caring, very experienced, explains his diagnosis and medical options in a clear and understandable way and is an outstanding surgeon! I came to Doctor Miller for a second opinion as my original doctor told me that my fibroids are too deep for Laparoscopic Myomectomy and advised me a choice of either over invasive surgery or a surgery that is unlikely to cure my excessive bleeding problem. Doctor Miller inspected the ultra sound images and explained that Laparoscopic Myomectomy is the right procedure for my situation, he assured me that he has done it many times and my case is quite straight forward. He offered me a choice of robotic assisted or non robotic surgery. His experience based explanation and recommendation made me feel very comfortable with doing a robot assisted Laparoscopic Myomectomy. He scheduled me for a surgery 10 days later. The surgery went very well. Doctor Miller removed all my 3 fibroids. I stayed at the hospital overnight and woke up the next morning by a smiling Doctor Miller who checked me and told me that I am doing great and can go home. The surgery and the recovery process was exactly as he described it. My recovery was very smooth. Doctor Miller called me at home to check how I am feeling. The incisions are very small and it looks like they will not leave any scar long term. Doctor Miller was in the past the chief of OB/GYN department in Swedish Hospital which is on the front of Robotic Laparoscopic Myomectomy procedure. I feel blessed to be in the competent care of Doctor Heath Miller and will always go to him as my OB/GYN doctor. more

Excellent Care and Consideration 10/4/2013

Dr. Heath Miller is a super smart and thorough surgeon. He took out my uterus, fallopian tubes ad ovaries after a MRI revealed multiple tumors, cysts, old wounds from endometriosis and "foreign material" without a hitch. My case was further impacted by the fact that I do not have adrenal function, a a condition that makes any kind of surgery a risky proposition. Dr. Miller took special measures to ensure my care, talking with my team of health professionals, getting a private nurse, and answering al my questions without even a hint of condescension. I can't recommend him highly enough. more

Very poor treatment 8/15/2011

Unbelievable treatment by the office staff. We recently moved to Seattle and I only recently found out I was pregnant. I found this office and went in for my first appointment. The receptionist, Ajia, refused to help with the insurance process (we had Blue Cross) even though we were insured. She refused to call BCBS to settle the problem, and just kept insisting that we owed $450. I tried to present my old insurance card from my previous job (under which I am still covered) but she said I had "already told them I had BCBS." She was extremely unhelpful for a newly pregnant couple in a new city with new insurance. I can only imagine how the rest of the office is if this was the welcome we received. Needless to say, I found a better clinic with people more willing to help. DO NOT go here. more

Incompetent and rude staff 3/4/2011

When we told their staff we had already had initial tests done at another OB-GYN , they would not let us see a doctor unless we agreed to do all of the initial tests again at their clinic and self-pay for it since our insurance would not do the same tests two days in a row. She would let us see the doctor for a couple minutes but they "might charge us" for the right to speak to him about our problem. Their front desk knew when they scheduled our appt that we were meeting other possible clinics and said nothing about requiring all testing be done at their facility (otherwise the other clinic was nice and we could've opted to hold off on the tests). She was pretty rude about it. We won't be back. more

hysterectomy 9/29/2010

Never trust that hysterectomy can make a woman's life any better. more

awesome 8/13/2010

unfortunately, i was late to my appointment BUT Dr Miller still spent a lot of time with me and figured out how to help me! I can only recommend him to others highly> If you need a procedure done he is the one! more

excellent 8/11/2010

I was lucky to finally find Dr Miller! He removed my fibroids laparoscopically! I was told by other surgeons that it wasn't possible in my case. I got pregnant and he took care of me through my pregnancy and delivered my baby ! What a wonderful experience. Compassionate, caring, always had time for me. The whole practice is great! more

A tough experience 4/2/2010

Unfortunately, it was a very tough experince with Dr. Miller. My conditons were pretty common; however, his job was not down like an expert at all. more

We LOVE her! 1/16/2010

My husband and I love Dr. Johannsen!!! She is very professional and compassionate. I look forward to her delivering our first born. more

Dr Miller is the best!! 8/31/2009

Dr Heath Miller in my opinion is one if the best OB's in Seattle - he is extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. His staff is very professional and has always been on time. Dr Miller has really made my 1st pregnancy such a happy and worry-free experience and I would highly recommend him to anyone! more

Fantastic care 7/13/2009

I used Dr. Heath Miller as my ob/gyn for the birth of my first child and found both he and the entire office to be outstanding. Dr. Miller is extremely knowledgeable and patient. In the end, Dr. Miller did not deliver my baby, but Dr. Levine did and he was great too. I actually moved to this office after having a bad experience with another doctor's office (The Polyclinic) Their front office was slow, disorganized and unfriendly. So it was a welcome surprise to get such prompt and friendly service at Northwest Women's Health Care. I highly recommend them. more

NW Women's Health Care is the Best Team In Seattle 3/20/2009

We were lucky to have Dr. Johannsen and the NW Women's Heath Care Associates for the birth of our son. Pregnancy is awkward enough, but I knew we would be just fine in their care. Any question or concern that I had were answered in a professional and timely manner (even the silly ones). They went above and beyond to make our expectancy memorable and special for everyone. Dr. Johannsen did an unscheduled ultrasound so my parents (who were visiting from out of state) could see their newest grandchild. I can not say enough good things about NW Women's Heath Care team. more

practice is too busy for good quality care... 11/27/2008

my husband came into the room to ask why the baby's circumcision was taking so long (45 minutes), becuz it should have been about 5 minutes. My husband saw baby passed out from crying (exhaustion),I read newborns don't tear, but my son was crying so hard for so long he was tearing. After that horrible experience I am against circumcision...& I would definitely NOT recommend Dr. Tracy Johannson! She did a very sloppy job. I would give no stars if I can but I am requird to give atleast 1 star! more

A Nightmare! 11/27/2008

I remember like it like yesterday.Dr.Levine is very nice, but did the worst job with my c-sec.I have the worst scar from it.Sutures were not uniformed and coming apart after birth. Then Dr.Tracy Johannson perfmd circ on my son-would NOT recommend her.She had me hold his legs down while she was talking to the med.asst. about office supplies, & scapeled his foreskin too far down. He bled too much, so she askd for sutures, then the bleeding lessoned so she cauterized it.He is now 10, but wears a scar from it! more

crummy 12/14/2007

i won't go back to this place. i had an 11:30 apointment for a regular annual check up. they got me into the exam room quick enough, but things went downhill from there. i waited more than an hour and a half for the doctor to see me. the nurse popped in around every 15 or 20 minutes with different reasons why the doctor hadn't been in to see me, including that she had gone into a doctor staff meeting. when the doctor finally saw me, she said she had actually totally forgotten me. lovely. so she was off busily treating other patients while i sat there forgotten during my work day. i arrived at the office at 11, since they asked me to in order to fill in their forms, and i left at 1:45. i'd guess i spent 15 minutes of that time with the doctor. forget it. my time is as important as theirs so this kind of treatment is just wrong. i wouldn't give return business to anyone else after this kind of experience, so why would i for a doctor?" more

Excellent Physician and Person 10/5/2006

As an ICU nurse and wife of an MD, I am very selective when choosing physicians to work with. I find Dr Johannsen (and her NP, Shelley) to be very pleasant, very well read in her field, and with excellent bedside manner. I strongly recommend her as a professional and individual. The only problem I have ever had, is receiving timely appointments inn her busy schedule. But as before mentioned, her NP is also wonderful. more
