for Sarasota, Nuovo is OK. Not particularly gay friendly but not gay averse. Downtown branch really annoying for the tendency to overly pamper the rich/old/high maintenance blondes at the expense of the rest of us (appointments were ALWAYS late, for me--a grey haired middle class middle aged lesbian--while the hairburner spent additional time with some well maintained trophy wife). Really hate that, and go to Landings branch instead. Which is much better and less snooty. For the money they could learn to hate gays less, though. more

Service 4/15/2011

I have been a customer for 17 years and used Dawn when she was there. When I returned to Sarasota I had Marelaure whom I loved but she just couldn't cat a 'bob'. Madison, on the other hand does a great job with my cut, we'll see how she does with my color next week! I am happier now with Madison and it's great to be back!! more

Sandy is so efficient, yet I never feel rushed. I know that she is focused on ME when I'm in her chair. Her suggestions always result in a better look for me. She's the best! more

Color & Cut 4/14/2011

I'm thrilled to have found Nuovo Salon. Today I received a new, wonderful cut that is ideal for the approaching warmer weather. I've previously had problems with my color but Nuovo nails it every time. They ask questions and listen to my input. Everyone is super friendly, prompt and helpful. I leave feeling on top of the world. Thanks Nuovo! more
