I have heard that for cars transmission malfunction causes trouble. And one day I have experienced the same transmission problem. When I was on the way to Sugarland my car just got struck up with this problem. And I was really in a worse situation and I just took my mobile and just started to search for any transmission repairs shops through online. Thank God, I found A plus transmission specialist who properly diagnosed and repaired it properly. My car broke down and I called the towing companyto bring me to the nearest auto repair shop. So the driver took me to this place. I was a bit worried because I am a new customer here and I had bad experiences with auto shops having very expensive service charge. After they diagnosed my car?s problem , they gave me a quote, nothing can beat the deals they have here. In fact I even paid more for the towing service that took only about 25 minutes compared to the time they allotted for my car which was around 3 hours. more

My wife Murano was having shifting problems in the morning only. I went to several places to have it checked out. Every body was trying to sell me transmission overhaul. These guys took the time to diagnose my problem and told me i have sensor which read my vehicle speed bad. They replaced that sensor for $275.00 and wife Murano is working fine since then. A Plus was very helpful on educating me on what the issue was with my transmission. A new transmission was needed as the car was 11 years old. I indicated that the value of the car was just not worth that much and that I didn't want to spend more on it than it was worth. Jim Mullin worked with me to get me to a price that made sense for me and for them to be able to do the work. Furthermore, I was leaving the country and A Plus dropped the car off at my house while I was out of town so that I didn't have to go back and pick the car up. more

There was something wrong with my transmission so i looked up the internet on the shops that are accessible in my location that can fix the problem. I went to at least four shops and they said almost immediately that this was what is wrong and it will cost me about 1,800 dollars. So i tried to check A Plus Transmission and they had it checked for free and quoted me $90 dollars. i could not believe it! i almost got ripped off! i wished i went to this place first! more

DO NOT GO HERE!! We had the most awful experience with A+ Transmission of Kingwood. They present themselves as knowledgably and push customer service however we received the exact opposite. Something they assured us was going to be a $800 fix turned out to be $1900 fix. Unfortunately your at their mercy once they have your transmission dropped. I understand the transmission is a complicated piece of machinery however I didn't appreciate them misleading me to believe the cost was going to be much less in the beginning. I would have rather them started high and then ended up getting a lower quote as they diagnosed the issue. Nearly 3 weeks to fix our car and left there a week later we had a separate issue not related that they had to repair. Please whatever you do...do not trust anyone at A+ Transmission of Kingwood with any of your transmission needs. We have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Quick example...I was stranded after the car was ""repaired"" because car would not come out of park. I was told to bring car back. Three days later I called to check on status. Before I could ask the rep he quickly stated they just got the part in and it has been sitting on the shelf and asked when could I bring in car? I told him my car was been dropped off 3 days ago. At first I thought someone had stolen my car but he then apologized for not knowing the car was there. Again, don't waste your time or money with this business! ****UPDATE FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW*** The owner Jim had the audacity to call me after I posted my review and brib me with a refund to remove this review. Again I talked to sweet talking Jim. Jim in his ""sweet talk"" told me after going through the transmission that it was going to cost $2400 to REBUILD NOT REPLACE my transmission! WHAT????? After discussing how much I didn't want to put any money into this car and him ""supposedly understanding"" my pain this is what he delivers to me? Well what to do now? So I had to think about it. After telling my wife, she was completely pissed off! She called Jim and talked to him about it, then she tells me that he decided to go down to around $1900. I asked my wife what did he do to bring it down to that price? She said he wouldn't use PREMIUM PARTS. Well AFTER TELLING HIM THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY IN THE 1ST PLACE AND THAT I WANTED TO DO THIS THE CHEAPEST WAY POSSIBLE WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU CHARGE ME $500 MORE JUST FOR PREMIUM PARTS????? So now I could either pay to have them fix it or put it back together and chance it of having a transmission slip worst than before and still out $500. So I went ahead and had them fix it. Or so I thought it was fixed! After a month in the shop, they finally ""fixed it"" Guess what? $1900 later the problem still wasn't fixed! So all that garbage talk about ""knowing"" what the problem was, wasn't the problem at all. It turns out it was a sensor. But I still had to pay the $1900 and they said that the sensor failed afterwards and that it was under warranty! (Oh LUCKY me!) Sorry for making this soo long, but I couldn't NOT let anyone know about my visit there. It has bothered me more than anything. There was a lot more issues than I told here with the numerous calls with no feedback/call backs. The story after story from Jim. The time where I brought my car for my transmission getting stuck in park and I brought the car back there and dropped it of and 3 days later my wife calls to see if it is done and Jim told my wife that the part was in and just waiting for us to bring the car in to install it!!! Then my wife told him that the car has been there for 3 days!!! Bottom line this place is a disaster to take your car to and they will ""sweet talk"" you till you have no choice but to say yes. But I urge you to take it to another place, maybe another A+ Transmission, but as long as Jim works there I would stay far away! more

My wife had her truck taken there and they performed a VERY thorough inspection, Took pictures and everything! After Letting us know the issues with our transmission they were willing to help us out with the repairs desperately needed for our vehicle. My wife is in college and we don't have a lot of money but they were able to help us out at a time when we needed it. I would definitely recommend this business to friends and family as well as anyone who is in need of good honest dependable transmission work. My new and only highly recommended first place to go for transmission repair and diagnostics, A plus transmission of kingwood, TX . I went to 4 local transmission repair shops and 3 suspension shops to locate a problem with a """" shudder"" that I have recently bought ( ""as is"") after the next day. All the transmission shops wanted to rebuild my transmission and the suspension place had a list of parts to replace such as fuel filter, tune-up, motor mounts, rotate tires, balance tires, torque converter, control arms, and on and on that it "" might fix it"". I also spent countless hours on GOOGLE and YouTube. The last place I went to was A + transmission shop this is when I noticed I made a mistake. The mistake was I didn't go there first. I spoke with Jim mullin he asked me what was going on. I told him, but then he did something no one else did he asked the ""what, when, how, where"" and got the full details, They inspected my car for free and then he had his technician ride with me and show him what it was doing after going step by step. His plan of action was to get a satisfied with the least amount of money to my expense. Problem was fixed for $75 vs. $2,500 plus. Jim was very courteous, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly expertise in his field of trade. Your right Jim this is the best $75 I spent.
