These people stole my student loan money when they were orginally MBTI. You can see by the 2000 fraud prevention act report to congress that the owners stole almost 600,000 in student loans from people. They renamed the company MCC and are back at it again. \r \r Please avoid them at all costs and just search the web for the 2000 Fraud Prevention Act \r \r On September 2, 2005, both defendants pleaded guilty\r to making false statements to EDin violation of 18 U.S.\r C. § 1001 and failing to refund student loan funds in violation of 20 U.S.C.§ 1097(a).Donald Brun was the president of MBTI Business Training Institute, a private, forprofit, post-secondary institution located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was responsible for the operation of MBTI.Ta\r mmy Hermann served as Financial Aid Director of MBTI\r and was responsible for administering ED financial aid prog\r rams.\r Both defendants falsified certifications\r requesting reimbursements of Pell, Federa\r l Family Education Loan (FFEL), and Federal \r Supplemental Education Opportunity\r Grants Program (SEOG) funds.Hermann illegally\r disbursed student financial aid funds to MBTI\r .\r Brun failed to return Direct Loan, FFEL, Pell,\r and SEOG funds that MBTI wa\r s not entitled to keep.Hermann was sentenced to 30 months\r probation.\r Brun was sentenced in Dece\r mber 2005 to 24 months imprisonment and a $20,000\r fine. The loss was $577,848.00. more

I enjoyed MCC and had good experience! I think this school is a better choice than other schools as far as I heard from my friends what happend to them. Teachers work with you and other people were nice. Glad to have a job now. more

I had perfect attendance and highest honors and was able to get a job off of my externship site. Most of the staff members were really helpful and were excited for me. The courses are fast paced and it was difficult to balance my part time job with school and being a mom BUT I worked hard and spent a lot of hours studying and made it happen. I do hope to further my education at some point and think working as a medical assistant and graduating from MCC will help me attain those goals. If you are considering school, be warned that the program is fast and you need to be there every day. If you miss too much you will fall behind. My cousin is now attending and is happy too. more

I had a great experience. Career Services was helpful and I was happy with my externship. I did get a job as a medical assistant. Ms. Buckley was awesome! more

I ""graduated"" - if that's what you can call it from MCC in 2004.\r 1. The teachers were either never in class & we did bookwork or had no idea what was going on.\r \r 2. I was told they would help me find a position when done, they never did. When I found my own position they called & asked where I was working so they could take credit for finding me work.\r \r 3. When I got hired I felt like an idiot, I had no idea what was going on. \r \r 4. After I had finished they contacted me & said I actually didn't graduate & therefore had to PROVE (thank God I kept ALL my paperwork) that I finished. \r \r 5. A year after I had paid off my loan I got a letter from collections saying I had to pay $6,000 in 30 days- I called upset & they said I need to figure it out. I, again, proved I paid my loans & the loan company contacted me saying they did not submit this to collections MCC did- turns out they never ""updated their records"". \r \r 6. Called for transcripts to be sent, walked in to talk with registrar- Daphne- it took me 7 days of calling & getting upset to speak with someone on the phone & still hadn'y been done. \r \r \r Please, please, please, please, please search your options. As a graduate, I feel like I went to some kind of backyard bootleg school. Considering I was one of the first ""graduating"" classes no one could warn me, sadly. First of all, LAUNADELDRAGON - you need to get your facts straight! My admissions rep never lied to me about being a Phlebotomist or EKG Tech. Everyone was told/notified by their instructors and through email that phlebotomist and EKG tech certifications WERE apart of the program when we enrolled. I was super concerned so I went to talk with her. It was the NHA that changed the criteria! I'm very protective of my rep and this school because they are one of the reasons that I am loving life right now and making something of myself for my kids. I am a current MCC student and my experience thus far has been amazing! The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The materials are top notch and the facilities are the same. I like the accelerated nature of the program, and the fact that the information being taught isn't being 'spoon fed' to me. I think the students who are struggling so much are the ones who probably shouldn't be here in the first place. It takes a high level of maturity and motivation to get through an accelerated program such as this, and some of the students are lazy and (seem) unintelligent. I don't feel this is a reflection on the school, however. After all, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink (as they say). It does bring me great personal satisfaction to see the lower functioning students flunk out, which they do rather quickly.... if only because as a consumer I would NEVER want any of them to assist me in any medical situation. MCC is a costly education, very accelerated, and well worth every penny. You'll love it if you're smart and motivated, but if you're not... well, just look at the 'one star' reviews. I am almost finished with the program. I'm graduating with a 3.98 GPA, so I'm not a slacker I get my work done. This school is a waste of your time and money. I felt as though I was practically teaching myself. I had to correct my teachers on numerous occasions. They care more about the pupils that aren't willing to do anything and slack off. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU WHEN THEY SAY YOU WILL BE A CMA, PHELBOTIMIST, and EKG TECHICIAN. The only certification you will have is the CCMA. Which is a level below that actual CMA. You have to pay an additional $250 after you leave to get the CMA. You have additional requirements to do before you can be certified in phelbotomy and ekg techician. If they tell you that comes with the program they are lying to you. You will get the training in it a nd the CCMA includes questions of it in portions of the test. But you need 100 recorded successful pokes before you are a phelbotomist. You also have different tests to take for both ekg tech and phelbotomy. If you are a good pupil you may get a great externship site, but most of them won't hire you because they would rather have FREE labor than hire someone. A lot of people won't hire you unless you have 1 year experience as an MA. CNA doesn't count it has to be MA. Don't let them lie and say they have job placement. NOT! They have a computer lab where you will be making and sending resumes from, but they don't place you. They will also send you job sources but that's about the only help you will get. None of your classes will transfer to any school because they know its full of crap. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE SERIOUSLY!!! They need to get there stuff together. The crazy people they allow in the school are uncalled for. They have no business in a profession dealing with emotional people when they can't control their own emotions. if you have assault on your record, don't even think about it because their philosophy is we will train you but that doesn't mean they will hire you. Hello, I was a student at MCC I just finished! Thank God! Please, do your research before you jump into going to this school! Take it from me this was a waste of 13,000 dollars! First off the school is COMPLETLY GHETTO! I felt unsafe just going to class not to mention my both of my cars were scratched and my other one hade 1000 dollars worth of dammage from being parked in that parking lot. Second none of the teachers are actuall teachers or have degrees in teaching. They lack professionalizm and make perverted comments all the time! None of that would be allowed at any real college or university. None of the the adminstrative people care or do anything to chage it! They are all unorganized and I felt that most of the time I was just teaching my self the material! Third the people who go there are pretty much just off the street, they are so rude and disrespectfull and everything is about color and its rediclous! Ive never been around are more ignorant, and disrespectful group in my entire life! And about the externship they talk about HAHA you dont even find out where your going till the day of and the director of the externship is so rude and unprofessional! MCC is a school. I have had no problems. Prolly cuz I am about my bizness! You go to class and listen and do you're work you are fine. You come to class and expect people to feed you everything an stay lazy then your not. Well you get what you get! I knew when I went to financal aid that I had a payment. Went to MCC for medical coding and building and I am working right now. I worked hard and got good marks. My externship hired me because I have a good attitude. This school is not what they say it is. Its a waste of money and time. I dont recommend anybody to come here and waste there money. During my admission process there was a lot of information not mention. We didnt even know about half of the rules that they have till abot 3 months into the program.. They dont tell you nothin till about three months into the program. This school is a waste and the intructors treat you as if we are kids and not adults. They talk to you disrespectful. Half of the intructors are just Certified Medical assistant teaching you what they know. There are only three great real professional teachers here who actually taught me something. I really and honestly can say I hate this school and hate I wasted my money. The teachers are impatient and unwilling to work with you. They program is fast, which I understood in the beginning but at a fast pace you cant learn when the intructors dont know what they talking about. This school is just for money. They worry more about your payments rather then your grades. If you fail a class they dont care longs you are up to date on your payments. You are not guaranteed a job after your externship. My completion date is December 18th. I wont have a gradation till April. The school is based on hours. They knock you for every little minute you are late. You have to check your attendance everyday cause a lot of times the intructors dont look at the clock when you walk in, they mark you for whatever time. People dont waste your money.. This school is the weakest school around. First they lie to get you in the door by saying you graduate in 7 short months but then you find out you dont graduate untill 11 months later. W>T>F. Some of the teachers dont know what hell they are doing but they want to teach. Then the school is so money hungry that they except all these kids but yet we dont have the neccesary materials to learn whats expected. I wasted all my hard earned money coming to this weak A** school. And then as far as externship they dont give you the option to go to a certain place they just put you places with or without a car. what a terrible experience the only good that came out of this school was ms. robbins was great and latriece everything else sucked we were being taught pharmacology by kim she was a goof ball mark hardly ever used the book in the class room and you arent guaranteed a job after graduation an why did we have to pay for our externship this was dumb i will never refer anyone to this school Pros: latriece is great Cons: financial aid lady was very rude more
