From the ladies who work in the office, to the agile and might I say amazing guys who climb the trees with the safety straps, Mike's has it all. It truly is rare to have a company live up to its name. Mike's company is extremely professional and the service is unsurpassed. Since becoming disabled, I'm kind of an easy mark. Great job ! Removed very large oak and trimmed 2 other large oaks. Cost of work was more than reasonable. I would highly recommend to anyone and would not hesitate to use their service again. Please be aware. DO NOT HIRE Mike's Professional Tree Service. Mike is the dishonest, deceitful and rude owner. He was a very busy man, price gouging during tropical storm Irene. \r \r I was quoted $3,000 to remove a large tree that had split in two with half of the tree landing across my yard and the other half still upright. Mike's crew only removed several fallen branches on my driveway that night and Mike told me his crew would be back on Monday or Tuesday. It was dark at that point and his crew was working without adequate lightening which was dangerous. Three days later I spoke with Mike to see when his crew would finish the job. He informed me that the job was done, that the $3,000 was the cost to remove just those branches not the whole tree. ""That's all you paid for."" INCREDIBLE!!! \r \r I am contacting the Attorney General so that others will not be his next victims.\r \r The comments below from Mike are untrue. The town of West Warwick paid him for 2 trees removed from town property that were in front of my home. The town paid him $4500.00. (Public Record.)\r The tree that I wanted to have removed was removed by North Eastern Tree Service in December... Mike NEVER DID THE JOB!!!@!@!!! more

Carqueen proved to me that this site is full of fake positive reviews to offset the real reviews. Carqueers last post was 4 years ago bashing a competitor and now he comes out of the blue with everything you need to know about Mike's business policies. Give me a break. more

I have used Mike's services on two occassions. Their prices are very competitive and they are always prompt and accomodating. I have used other tree services in the past, but now that I've found Mike's I am locked into my Company of choice. Nice to be treated like an important customer. That seems to be lost these days, but not at Mike's. He even offered me a payment plan for these services which I thought was fantastic. Simply put, I had a GREAT experience at Mike's and will be going back. Thanks Guys!!! more

I've already called the BBB, and Mike's has a great rating. Worked with me and my insurance company after a storm three days ago, thanks to Stacy O, I asked Mike for a written quote after I gave him the job, and the insurance company was grateful for the prompt service and insurance papers from Mike's Pro Tree.\r \r PS, Mike also explained to me that he wouldn't give me a written estimate unless I was prepared to give him the job. He asked that I get all of my other quotes, and if I was going to go with him, he would furnish me with the written quote. He also explained that due to fraudulent insurance claims (where people would use his estimates and submit them to their insurance companies and then do the work themselves or not do the work at all) a written estimate would be provided at the time of job approval. I can't really blame him. He did a great job for us! My husband just found out our neighbor used him after our job -- same day! I want to say thank you to both Mike and his entire crew! I had 5 very large trees over my pool that Mikes removed. They were efficient, professional and came equiped with all the right equiptment. They removed all 5 with a crane and amazing crew. I was concerned being they were so close to the pool but when these guys were done you would have never known 5 large trees came down over that pool. They did a FANTASTIC job. My yard looked the same as when they first showed up minus the trees. If you want a professional job done than Mikes Professional Tree service is the company you should hire!!! Thank you again to Mike, Jeff and the entire crew! AMAZING job guys!! more

Had some very large limbs fall from the rain storm that came through this past week. Too large for myself to remove on my own I called Mikes and they were able to break them down with chainsaws and hauled them away. Glad I was able to have someone local and in a timely manner. Thank you. more

Mike's Tree Service was recommended by a neighbor who'd used his company a couple of years earlier. Mike gave me a quote within 3 days of my phone call, his price was less than I'd anticipated, and the work was completed the following week. Steve, the foreman, was in complete control of the job and ensured that the 4 men with him were efficient and tidy. Stumps were ground and the large logs were removed quickly. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews to use Mike's, but they gave the best price so I figured I'd try. I didn't run into any problems like the posts had mentioned and the men that came out to do work didn't damage anything and took the tree's away no questions asked. So I guess I can say I had a good experience and happy for it. more

My yard is over run by pine tree's that over hang the house and yard. I called Mike, per a recommendation of my neighbor down the street, and they were able to come out within a few days to bring some sunshine into our lives. The price I found reasonable and the work they did in my yard was very professional. more

First time actually writing a review but after searching for a company to remove some trees and seeing the bad ratings for Mike's Professional Tree Service - I don't get it?\r \r Mike's Professional Tree Servive is by far the most organized operation I have ever seen. Mike came out on a Friday and gave me a more than fair price. Handshake deal was made. Shows up Monday with a small army and went to work. Within 2 hours the trees were gone, wood was taken away and the stumps were ground. I will recommend Mike's Professional Tree Service to anyone looking for tree removal. I would never reccomend this co. to anyone. They are rude, and dishonest. My neighbor and I both had work done by them and they charged us more than the estimate was by $400. They also cut trees that were suppose to stay. (bunch of hackers). When I refused to pay the extra the owner Mike harrased me for the difference he was very unprofessional and tried to intimidate my wife and children that were there. Never again. He is also the owner of Mulch and more and in Coventry and Exeter. I would never deal with them again, there are many other honest companys out there just take the time and shop around. I talked to one of Mikes former workers and he also said tha Mike and his famil write false reviews on the internet and he also said that they are a very dishonest co. more

It was a difficult call whether or not to choose Mike's Tree Service, as the reviews here were either love him ot hate him (some even making him out as if he's some kind of cartoon villian). So I thought I'd add my own two cents and describe my experience. Mike came out the morning after we called and gave what I considered a great price for the amount of trees we wanted taken down. He said the guys would be out the next day, and they were, but they did not get there until 3:30PM and left before the job was done. They said they would be back Monday, but did not get back until late Tuesday (around 3:30 again). That Tuesday, they did finish the job to my nearly complete satisfaction (with the exception of completion being 4 days later than expected). There was no bullying, price gouging, or charging more than the agreed upon price. There was only being late. more

Had Mike's remove several overall large bushes from the yard about a week ago, and had Mulch n More deliver mulch and stones to put in it's place and i'm extremely happy with how my yard looks. So happy to have such a large project completed in a 48 hour period. It was a job I could not have done without Mikes tree service. Thank you. more

I went on Google to find tree service in Coventry, RI. Mike's service was 1st on the list. After making an appointment, I read the reviews and was dissapointed to see some negativity that was written about Mike's service. I became cautious. Mike's forman showed up (on time next day), he outlined the job scope and gave me the price I was very happy with. They showed up in 3 days in the morning, perform the job in 3 to 4 hours and came back next day to remove the roots from the overgrown bushes i asked to remove. When I showed up to the site after completion, I was surprised to see everything done per agreement and cleaned up to the last chip. Very happy customer. more
