Best

This has been a family favourite for approximately 12 yrs. I don't mean only locals, we take EVERYONE there! Family from Europe beg to go there as soon as the plane's tires touch...

Worst

This restaurant was bought out recently, it is now Martinellis. They changed the signature salad and everything. I was not impressed. The one in Chandler however is still the same.

International Family Favourite!! 8/23/2007

This has been a family favourite for approximately 12 yrs. I don't mean only locals, we take EVERYONE there! Family from Europe beg to go there as soon as the plane's tires touch the tarmac! This is THE BEST italian food you can find anywhere. The atmosphere, quality of food, customer service, cleanliness etc., etc., all deserve 5 stars! Go and enjoy a delicious meal in a lovely aromatic restaurant!! Pros: Best italian food!! Cons: Sometimes you have to wait a long time - so get it to go!! more

Italian food like I grew up with! 4/27/2007

I grew up near New York City in an Italian family from Italy, so I think I know Italian food. I found this hole-in-the-wall by accident 6 years ago from a friend of mine. I go so often that the manager, Wendy, knows me by name and face, the staff smile when I come in and even recognize my voice when I make reservations! The Antipasto salad and the basalmic dressing are delicious, and the neverending refills area a meal in itself. I have eaten just about everything on the menu (except Eggplant Parmigiana, which my family never understood why I hated, being a true-blue Italian) and have yet to find something I don't like. Russell is my favorite waiter. He usually works Thursday through Sunday, and I leave feeling like I am royalty with the service he provides. I must warn you that the chocolate cake is addictive - and my friends and I nicknamed it 'death by chocolate' because it is THAT good. If you have never tasted Italian food the way it is supposed to be prapared, COME HERE! more

Best Pasta, sauce service, and everything else! 1/16/2007

I have done some reviews on things in the past, but this is my first restaurant review because this is the first restaurant worthy of my review to me! Last Friday, January 12, 2007 my boyfriend and I shared a night out at Rigatony's and we had a very pleasing expierence. The service was unmatchable along with the welcoming enviornment, and detailed seating area. The place was jam packed and for a very good reason! This place is very wonderful! I reserved a place the day before and the wait was much shorter than that of more mainstream restaurants like The Olive Garden. The answer dining questions via the internet or phone line which i really enjoied. The food was devine! I had stuffed spinich shells with alfredo sauce and it was the truely was the best Italian Restaurant expierience. Anybody who is looking for a place to take a date, your family, your parents, co-workers, this would be the place! It is welcoming for any group of people to dine at. Prices are resonable for most restaurants. Remembering it's not fast food so like any where you must be prepared to pay for what you wish. Even so, I will be returning once I feel like Italian again. For me this is the place that makes dreams come true. You must eat at this place! Pros: Service, food, Italian enviornment Cons: Parking more

A very average restaurant 11/15/2006

Rigatony's has a unique, interesting decor. The menu offers a variety of Italian choices. After three visits, the food and service still leave much to be desired. The bread and the pizza are the best choices. The salad wasn't that bad. Their best Italian dishes were below average. Pros: Decor/ambiance Cons: Food and service more

Great Italian 9/4/2006

Some friends told us about this restaurant and we love it! The house Chianti is a must and the fried ravioli appetizer is great. The house salad could be a meal on its own. We'll be back. Pros: A lot of variety on the menu more

Horrible!!!!! 8/20/2006

I went here because it was a recommendation of a friend, and now I am considering not talking to him... The food here was aweful!!! For being a little neighborhood restaurant its food is nothing different (or better than) and of the local chains here in the valley... I would've been better of going to Macaroni Grill... Pros: Lighting was nice.... Cons: Food was bland and boring.... more

Best in Valley 9/21/2005

This place is truly a diamond in the rough. Many people have not heard/tried it and are in for a delightful experience. The place is decorated beautifully but very comfy. Go casual or dressed for a date. The music couldn't be better. The food is what makes this place great. Bread and salad are super and every entree I have had is the best. Compliments to the chief! I usually take home 1/2 my order so I can have a tasty desert. No complaints here. Not the usual pasta dishes you can make at home. Pros: seated asap W/o reser, Waitors know specials, respond to requests more

Yummy! 5/3/2005

I've driven past this place for the past three years and told myself I needed to try it out. My family and I finally went and we were completely blown away by the service and the food and totally addicted to it now! Its not your run of the mill commercial Italian joint like Olive Garden or Bucca Di Beppo. I'm an extremely picky eater and have had a lot of what I thought was good Italian food. Until now.. I can honestly suggest everything on the menu, you will not be let down. Everything is so yummy. Also I suggest the house Chianti with your meal. And save room for dessert! more

My new home away from home.... 2/9/2003

I found this restaurant when I was on a search for ""the"" Italian restaurant to replace my haunts back east in the Italian community that I lived in. I go about once a week now. The environment is comfortable, but Italian. The lighting is just right and the service is incredible unfailingly. I think what really rates this restaurant as a ""10"" in my book is its ability to offer consistently fantastic food and service while maitaining a price that is more than affordable. The meatballs could give my grandma's a run for the money, the Chicken Parmesean is incredible and the Tiramasu is too DIE for. The salad that they bring you with every meal is limitless and yummier than any I have had in the valley. And the european sourdough bread is so good, I fight not to order and extra serving to take home. What a FIND!!!! Pros: Ambience, Incredible Value, Quality of food Cons: Parking on Wkends more
