litlle-known gem tucked into a corner of Mandalay Bay 6/7/2008

This was my first time staying at Mandalay Bay. It is a tradition of mine to scope out all the upscale restaurants at the new place I will be staying and pick out one to try. I was certainly not disappointed with RM Seafood. Our reservations were for an early time, so we had no problems being seated right away. In fact, there was only one other couple dining in the restaurant. It made me a little hesitant, but the service and food that followed set my mind at ease. Besides, by the time we left 2 hours later, the place was packed. more

A lot of fun even if you're under 21! 6/5/2008

I stayed here before I turned 21 and still had an amazing time. The hotel is one of the newer ones and is beautiful on the inside. Our room had a great view of the strip and had a huge bathroom, which was really nice when we were all trying to get ready at once. \r \r The wave pool and the lazy river easily consumes a large portion of the day because it is so much fun. Go a little early if you want to grab some good lounge chairs or a little shade. There's also a ton to do inside the hotel. Had a great time! more

GREAT atmosphere! 5/2/2008

We absolutely loved the atmosphere of this club/restaurant. The drinks and food are a little pricey--but well in line with the prices of drinks and food in Vegas. We loved the girls dancing in cages and the DJ played the best mix of hip hop music. The walls of water falls added to the atmosphere and the mix of people was great! We had the best time here dancing until 3 AM! Only negative is that it is inside Mandalay Bay which is at very end of the strip. more

Very good, but not as good as the original... 4/4/2008

We stumbled upon the original Fleur de Lys while on a trip to San Francisco and were amazed. It was hands down the best meal we'd ever eaten. So, to our pleasant surprise, when we discovered there was a second location open in Las Vegas, where we live, we decided to dine there for our wedding anniversary. Our waiter Jack was very friendly and attentive, as was the rest of the wait staff. Most of the food was unbelievable, but not all. At the original location, every single dish was melt in your mouth delicious. At this location, some of the dishes were okay, some were exceptional...but for the cost of a dinner for two there, I expect every single dish to be amazing. We had wonderful experience, but will probably save our money for the original in San Francisco next time we are there. Pros: Very good wait staff, nice decor, good food Cons: Not as good as the orginal more

The Pulse of the Excitement, Entertainment and Luxury of Las Vegas 3/6/2008

Being a frequent Vegas vacation planner I always make Mandalay Bay part of my trip. This annual trip we stayed in the 750 GR. Mandalay has great value for their rooms year round. The rooms are romantic with every amenity?s. Everyone throughout the casino was a joy to talk to and happy to be their. We ate at Wolfgang Puck's Trattoria Del Lupo... decadently delicious. My times spent trying drinks with my friends at the Rum Jungle are the happiest in my life. Being a connoisseur of rum, it?s heaven. The bartenders are knowledgeable and make sure your happy with your selections. The jerkchickenis to die for! Red Square is cool, I wasn't particularly impressed with the ice bar. You can't miss The Burger Bar, find out how good a burger can be, try the sampler ... but you have to leave room for the Creamy Cheese Cake Burger (Doughnuts w/ cheesecake) OMG! Check out the wine angels and the 42 foot wine tower, its impressive. Expedient room service, great housekeeping and everyone who works in each aspect of the hotel is a delight. The aquarium and Shark reef was much larger then I remember the last time... Exotic, comparable to any states aquarium and w/ later hours. Decent poker room, Hold?em Tournaments (10am $30 & 6pm $60). Pros: RumJungle, Burger Bar, Shark Reef, Wine Tower, Wave pool, Great Service Cons: Poor pool hours / only seasonal. more

such an amazing experience 2/27/2008

I am way to young to gamble and yet I still had amazing time at this hotel. They have an amazing pool! If you have kids and are worried they are going to be bored in Las Vegas you should stay here. Huge wave pool and endless entertainment. When I was there, there was some kind of amusing bird show. So awesome! more

Surprisingly very Good 2/22/2008

In a town full of very well publicized great restaurants with very well known chefs, we also like to try the not so marketed spots to see what they can put out. Pros: Sushi, Seafood and Service Cons: Location, Design and Pasta Dishes more

First-class Resort 2/20/2008

Although it has been a few years since I have gone to Vegas, the last time I went I stayed at this resort, and it is by far one of the best I've been to. I was planning a meeting for the company I worked for and not only was the staff great and very pleasant to work with, they were very helpful and friendly to our guests that were there for the sales meeting. My accommodations were superb...complete with a great view. There is great shopping and a great concierge service, and the casino was pretty fun too. :-) The food was superb. Although the shopping and restaurants are pricey (high-end shopping), the experience was great. more

Very Romantic... Great Food and Exceptional Service 10/26/2007

I was given a gift certificate to Fleur de Lys for a wedding gift otherwise I may not have ever gone there. The restaurant was well worth the wait and the service was exceptional. We never ran out of wine and the food was a real treat to the pallet. Pros: Atmosphere, Service and Food Cons: The waiting, but well worth it. more

Sumptious Food . . . Beautiful Room . . . Robotic Service 10/1/2007

Fleur de Lys clearly honors its San Francisco tradition! The room itself is incredibly beautiful, soft and romantic - an eye catcher that welcomes you the minute you enter. Reservations were honored promptly, on a busy Friday evening, and we loved the personable bar tendress we met when we arrived early and had a cocktail before being seated. Our meal itself was outstanding, with beautifully presented dishes, prepared to tasty perfection. The Jubilee of Hierloom Tomatoes burst with a variety of wonderful textures, scents and tastes and my Truffled Halibut was incredible, as were the deserts and items offered ""with the compliments of the chef."" Wine parings were smart and good. We did have one disappointment, however, that makes us believe it must be difficult to find good wait staff in las Vegas. The service WAS very good and the meal paced reasonably well, but so many different people showed up at our table that we actually never knew which one was our waiter. Each person described our dishes, when presented, but they never made eye contact and stood at attention robotically reciting memorized lists. We wondered if they even knew what a ""reduction"" meant and we actually laughed at the ""this on top of this, underneath that"" wording that made it sound like we were on an archeological dig. Such a fine resturaunt should have personable servers, who engage their diners. I suppose you can train the staff, as Fleur de Lys clearly does, but can not as easily teach them to have a personality. It was the only thing missing from an otherwise ""5 star"" experience. Pros: Atmosphere, Decor, Food, Cocktail Lounge & Bartender Cons: Robotic wait staff more
