Tried the Sunday night buffet and was pleasantly surprised. A huge selection to pick from, and all tasting quite good. A bit expensive, but worth it. more

Good service. More ambiance than typical Indian restaurant. Mixed apitizer plate was excellent. Rest of the food was not very authentic. Tasted like pre-made mix and serve dishes. We also found the food pricy. more

I had the most humiliating experience in this restaurant. I bought a groupon to go there, and since it was about to expired I called to see if they would make an exception and let me use it on sunday. The man I talked to agreed so my family and I headed there. To my dismay, a man who called himself the manager screamed at me treating me as if I didn't know how to read, didn't even want to let me speak. I was there 5 minutes and never will go back to that place. It doesn't deserve the reputation of a good restaurant the only thing for sure you will leave the place smelling bad. more

Visiting from DC, I was glad to find an Indian restaurant near me in FL. But beware...the restaurant is located in Pompano Beach, NOT Ft. Lauderdale. I enjoyed a flaky and flavorful samosa, nicely spiced butter chicken and decent naan. The service was friendly if a little slow. But it was Sat. night, the place was full, and they were working hard to keep up. It's definitely a family operation, and I congratulate them for being able to stay in business in Florida's tough economy. more

It's gone downhill! Used to be ok (never better than ok) but having eaten there tonight I'm downgrading it to pretty bad. Gloomy restaurant, slow uncaring service, unpleasant food. Yuk. more

Having eaten Indian all over the world, and having read the reviews here and saw that 81% like it, I thought I would give it a try. The site looked good, the photos of the food were nice. The price point is HIGH by any standards for Indian food so my expectations were also set high.\r \r We ordered for delivery Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Vindaloo, Naan, and Vegetable Samosas - four staples by which to judge indian cuisine.\r \r We live within 6 miles and there was a mention of a $45 minimum for delivery which we were nearly at ($44 according to prices on the site, but $40 according to the man on the phone), so we switched the Vege Samosa for the Trio (Meat, Vege Samosa and Pakora). That brought us to $47, enough now for delivery.\r \r The food arrived more or less within the promised window, and was warm enough. However one package seemed to melt a hole in the top, making us wonder where it went.\r \r First bite of the Tikka Masala and my reaction was 'where is the spice?'. It was basically sweet, not spicy at all. Then to the Vindaloo, the mother of all hot dishes as anyone would know, and it was flat. The meats were good pieces, but again, where is the spice? We ordered them to be between Medium and Hot, thinking that should get it there, but not too hot in case they are the type to burn you a new one. In this case, they unfortunately must have been cooking for the 'American' palate for some time now, and are afraid of the spice. A stray hair found in one of the dishes didn't help the cause.\r \r Overall, I can see why people like it, it is good pieces of meat, the sauces are complex and accurate except the spice factor. So, know this before you order if you like spicy, and maybe this review will help. I won't order again, but that is because of my tastes. more

Good food and lots of it. The service was a mixed bag. The waiter (obviously Indian) was very helpful, the female server (not Indian) did not know much about the food and to quote her "I do not like spicy food," when asked about menu items.\r \r I don't really feel competent to judge the food based on authenticity, but I can tell you I found everything to taste wonderful.\r \r They specialize in food from Southern India, but a look at the menu and you can find food from most any area of India. I have a friend from India so she recommended some things to try.\r \r We started with the Sambar and Idly. This was interesting and I really liked how everything came with several dipping sauces. We also had the Aloo Paratha and I want more!!! The garlic naan is also good.\r We had the King Prawns Tandoori, Lamb Vindaloo (Vindaloo is a specialty of my friend's area Goa), Chicken Tikka Masala, and Dal Makhani. Everything was delicious and I would order it all again.\r \r It was my birthday so my meal was free, and they brought a large piece of surprisingly very good chocolate cake.\r \r I really wanted to try a biryani and the Saag Paneer but could not convince the others to try this. Next time I will definitely try it. I'll try to catch the buffet next time to try a wider variety. more
