My husband and I had a bad car shopping experience at Leigh Ford off Walnut Street. We ended up leaving the dealer upset at the fact they were not willing to work with us. After going home and doing some research on the internet we found you guys. I called you up and was told to come right down. We were greeted by Troy Haynes who took us under his wing and gave us the best possible service we could receive in purchasing a car. You guys were more then willing to work with us and get us not only the car we wanted but also the right price and payment. We cannot thank everyone including Troy for putting all the hard work in getting us this car. On Saturday morning, I was on the hunt for a new car. Starting at 10am, I was searching for a vehicle within my tight budget. After visiting 5 other dealerships in the area, I decided to take a look at the used car section at the VW Dealership. A salesman by the name of Joe Soboleski helped me out, and I found an awesome deal on a NEW 2011 VW Jetta. Its amazing! He was not only attentive to my needs and concerns, but he definantly worked the numbers so I could get this "work of art." At the end of the sale, he was able to talk his financial people down to a "crazy" price, that I was shocked to see. I was on the hunt for a used Honda Civic, but now Im driving the first 2011 Jetta to be sold in NC. This is by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. Thank you Joe, and thank you VW! ... What a wonderful dealership! Best car buying experience i've ever had! The sales team at Leith VW and in particular the saleman I dealt with; Mark B was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. At no point during my shopping experience did I feel pressured into purchasing. After I purchased my VW the salesman went above and beyond to make sure I was still happy with my purchase and made sure I knew he was available to answer any questions I might have. I went in to test drive a 2008 Acura TL. It was a nice car but once I saw the 2009 CC Lux on the lot, I had to drive it. And once I drove it, I had to have it. I'm not a huge fan of the "car-buying experience," but the staff made it fun and exciting. I worked mainly with Jerame Jones, but the other staff members were very helpful as well. Not only was I satisfied with the experience, it was rewarding as well. more

I'm a first time car-buyer and after a few weekends of searching for a car, this was by far an excellent experience. Everything was explained for me, my questions were answered. The salesman (Jamie Brown) was exceptional, never being pushy. I could tell he was more interested in making sure I was happy about the purchase rather than making another sale to make some quota. This is going to be a bit different then what you would expect. I have been in the Automobile Sales business for over 25 years. I have owned or driven as a Managers Demo almost every car manufactured. My last 6 cars were VW's. I had a 2 Passat's, 2 Jetta's, a Touareg and a Beetle. I loved every one of them. It amazes me that people complain about service isuues, when in most cases it is truly a misunderstanding that gets blown out of proportion. Almost every customer that I have had since joining VW 3 years ago, lovers there cars. I get emails all the time about how great the experience has been. Having worked for more than 5 different manufactures in a 25 year career. I can tell you that only those that are unhappy start to right nasty articles and complain. What about the thousands of us that love our cars and haven't had any problems. My customers buy there second and even their third cars from us. Oh! well...Das Auto...Love the Vdubs. more

Truly Earned a 5 star rating. I just purchased my second VW from leith and plan on purchasing many more from them. From the second I was greeted by the receptionist until I finished my paperwork with the business manager this place was top notch. My salesperson Joe was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I felt like I had known him my whole life. He never pressured us to buy and we did the deal on "our terms". With treatment that great we traded in our 2008 Honda for the much nicer 2010 CC. Again, same great treatment and after I got home I shopped the price they gave me and found it was much lower than the local competition. Keep up the good work Leith VW more

So, I bought a used GTI from them with 24k miles about 4 months ago. About a month later I took it in for the 30k mile service and they discovered that the ignition cylinder was under recall and needed to be replaced. But why the hell didn't they replace it a month earlier when it was AT THE DEALERSHIP?? It had been under recall for a long time prior to my purchase. A couple of months later I started hearing a lot of wheel noise when driving down the highway. I took it in to have the origin of the sound checked out and all they told me was, "yea it's uneven tread wear causing the noise, you can either deal with the noise or buy a new set of tires." Then, just today, I called to inquire about getting the notoriously faulty diverter valve on my turbo upgraded to the revised version, and the mechanic didn't even know what I was referring to! I was fortunate enough to have Larry Thomas, a friend of a friend, from Leith Chrysler call Leith VW in advance and give them the parameters of my purchase. Brenda immediately called me at home to let me know they were expecting me to come view one of their used vehicles, a Mini Cooper, and assure me they would do everything in their power to let me drive off the lot that day with the experience I was looking for. The car was flawless. A 2006 Mini Cooper with low mileage and still under original factory warranty. They worked tirelessly until we found exactly the best possible financing. Everyone from Brenda calling me at home and letting me know I was expected, to Troy's welcoming and accommodating nature, to Jeremey's filtering through financing options, to Jay's carefully fulfilling and reviewing the paperwork, could not have been more ethical and respectful. We just traded our old car on a new VW wagon and love it! We have done the SUV and van in the past but with gas prices we needed lots of room but better gas miles. We loved the sales staff, and got a great deal. They were great to work with, it was very easy process, we our new wagon!!1 Pros: Good deal more

I have to agree with other postings I've read as well as the words of those riding in the shuttle from the Leith VW shop to work. I've never had a good experience. My mom graciously took my car in one day since I was too sick to drive and after questioning a few things on the prepaid service plan, the guy who sold us the plan (Jerame) admitted a problem with the wording of the plan and promised to have 'extra' service done on my car since I was mislead about the service pack. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. When I called to ask about the extra work, Jerame told me that he didn't remember me being in the room with him and my mom and that he never even looked at my car or the paperwork in the glove compartment regarding "extra oil changes". He got quite frustrated with me, told me that he was the one in charge when I asked to speak to his boss and then finally transferred me to the service center guys.
