I dont understand why your food is so overpriced. First of all the food isnt even that good to begin with. The only thing good about that restaraunt is: 1. The velvet cake (off d...

FIRE in the bathroom 3/3/2012

I have always suggested that my friends must dine at the infamous Diddy's Justins restaurant. Sadly I will not be referring another friend, family member or visitor to Atlanta there ever again. Our party of 25 was asked to leave just after ordering our entree's. Somehow there was a small fire in the mens restroom. No big deal they put it out and just as we were exciting the patio we were told we could come back if we liked. We sat down only to find that now the water no longer worked, so once again we were told to leave. Now leaving us two hours later into the night and nowhere for an entire party of 25 to dine on a Saturday night. To top it all off....The valet attendant still wanted his money even if we never were fed. What a horrible Saturday night at Justins. more

Diddy Wouldn't Eat Here, Longest Wait Time, Worst Experience 2/21/2012

This past weekend my boyfriend and I visited Atlanta just to get away for a Valentine's weekend. We decided on Justin's Restaurant because the menu seemed to be promising, and assumed that it would be a nice experience considering P.Diddy's name was attached to it. BIG MISTAKE! more

Now I remember why I haven't been in years 2/20/2012

I've lived in Atlanta for a few years and visited Justin's when I first moved here. I've never thought the food was good and wondered why it was always so crowded. Well in walks Big Boi from Outkast. That's the only reason to go to Justin's. In hopes of seeing a celebrity. I went to Justin's last night (after not having been in several years) because a relative came to visit. She wanted to ""experience Atlanta"" so I took her to Justin's. Of course there was a wait but what I didn't get was why we had to wait for the hostess to return to take our names. She kept leaving her post throughout the night causing a line several times! We waited about 30 minutes and soon realized that there were SEVEARL tables open but no one was being seated. I asked the hostess about this and was told that they were saving those seats for an event later that night. Oh and we had another 15 minute wait. 30 minutes later we inquired again about our wait and were told ANOTHER 20 minutes!! And there were still those tables open! We left and went to Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro, were seated right away, and got our food in 10 minutes. more

why is this nasty place still open? 1/14/2012

I was visiting ATL for the first time with my family and we wanted to eat at a good place that serve soul food. One of the front desk staff at the hotel gave us a list of restaurants and unfortunately Justin was on it. Our first impressions of the place was it looked nice and there was only two other people eating there. So we figure since no one was there our food would arrive quick, but this should of been a hint to run, the place was empty for a reason! The corn bread they give while u wait for the food was so cold and was under cook, we should of left then ,because if a place cant cook a simple bread right how could the food be good! We decided to stay because we did not want to get lost looking for another restaurant. When the food came out the portions were small and it taste awful. The fried chicken was dry, bland and just disgusting! Macaroni and cheese was awful, sweet plantains was dry, salad and green beans too salty. Rice had no flavor and the list goes on! The music pumping with songs that is 8 years old, no songs were recent and it is so loud that it gave us a headache. When we came back to the hotel, all of us that ate the fried chicken became sick and felt like we needed to go to the hospital. I called the restaurant to find out if something was wrong with the chicken and the chief I talked to, responded as if he knew the chicken was bad. This place almost ruin my trip because I felt so sick and had to get medicine from the hotel before considering the the hospital. I?m surprised that this place is even getting business, the food is nasty, it over priced and they charge a 18% tip to your bill, which is not negotiable. Be smart and listen to these reviews, I wish me and my family checked here first before going ! more

Great Selection, Good Beer 5/31/2011

Really great food and very nice waitresses, they sat us down right away and the food was very quick. They have amazing fish and steak it is a American restaurant. They also have live entertainment every Friday with a large flat screen projector. If you really want to go private they also have private dinning rooms in the back. If you really are looking for a good time they also have a full bar with a large assortment of alcohol. Oh and by the way, this is Akon's favorite restaurant. And Akon is my favorite singer. So big plus in my book. more

Horrible and Ghetto!!! 4/9/2011

OMG, So I originally went to Justin's about 7 year ago and the food wasn't that great. I decided after moving right across the street that I would tr again. What a mistake. It is a true nickel and dime experience. It cost $5 to valet and $5 self park. They CHARGE to park! They valet person asked us if we wanted to pay $20 to put our car in the front of the restaurant?? Then we were seated in the dining room, the menu states that there is a one entree minimum per person, who writes that on the menu. My husband only wanted drinks and a few appetizers, why should he be forced to order dinner. The charge automatic 18 % gratuity on every check, whether it is one or 20 people. Doesn't matter.. My husband rarely looks at the receipt and was about to double tip the waitress, until I looked at the bill and showed him it was included. we were shocked that they would do this. Now to the food, it was absolutely horrible. I have never had a bad porkchop, it taste like a bottle of granulated garlic. The collards tasted like sugar. The rice and peas were not so great as well. i will never go again. What a waste!! beware, i have warned you. more

I could have went to Cracker Barrel 9/20/2010

My cousin and I visited Justin's in Atlanta this weekend, and I must say that I will never go back. The service was horrible, we had to ask for bread AND a refill on our drinks. Our waiter acted like we were an afterthought instead of well paying guests. more

I was very pleased 6/13/2010

After reading all of the the various reviews, I decided to try Justin's for myself. I think separate checks are tacky and are a sign of low class, so I knew I wouldn't have a problem with that. I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised with everything. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, the wait staff was attentive and friendly and the food was great. I had the curry chicken and my friend had the lamb chops. Also I did not find them to be at all overpriced, (they are less than Cheescake factory, which is one of my favorites). Pros: Atmosphere, service food! Cons: Chair cushions were a bit soiled more

Please say this is a joke!! 3/22/2010

I can not believe this is the infamous Justin's. This place can not be associated with the standards that Sean Combs demands of his staff and anything directly related to him or his name. I would not recommend this place to anyone at anytime....the food was horrible and it was almost an hour before it came to the table...which was strange because it may have been 5 tables occupied in the whole restuarant. It smells like Moth Balls...and the floor had trash on it...Disappointed is an understatement! Pros: The server was very nice Cons: The food was horrible and the floor was dirty!! more

I want be going back! 2/27/2010

My girlfriend and I had dinner here yesterday.. The food is definitely lacking a good chef!! The atmosphere could be nice if they got rid of the flat screen in the dining room along with the huge ugly chandliers! But then there's the problem with the food being mediocre. more

Tastiest Food in the WORLD!!!!!!!! 10/24/2009

My husband and I went there for our Anniversary today. I was hesitant because of the reviews I read, but I went any due to the fact another friend of mine from Memphis went last month and told me what an awesome experience they had. Pros: Best Plantains ever Cons: the corn and yams off the chain they so good! more

Worst Place In The World!!!! 10/6/2009

I went last night for my 30th birthday with a party of 25! We waited a while for our food even though the place was about empty! When the check came, we had to calculate our own bill because they would not split the check!!! Everybody paid and the check ended up short! The very rude waitress I believe stole some of the cash that was giving to her! I had to pay $113 extra in order to leave! Pros: Food is ok Cons: very bad customer service, overpriced more

Nice spot to dine on southern food in a classy spot 9/21/2009

II have to say I was a little skeptical of trying this restaurant after reading all the horrible reviews. However, while in Atlanta on business I stopped by Justin?s for dinner. I have to say I had a very nice experience; we went on a Thursday night and were sat right away. Our waitress was nice and well acquainted with the menu. We ordered an appetizer, entree, and dessert and all were well prepared and delicious! The pricing I felt was reasonable. There were two drawbacks to the night 1) the pipes above seemed to be leaking on the first table we sat at but the hostess immediately moved us 2) there was a casting call that night so by the time we had ate and was ready to go the main bar area and front door was PACKED with people so we couldn't get out. We had to go out the side door through the patio and it was raining so it was a slight inconvenience to paying customers. Pros: Your giving a nice food size portion Cons: One visible entrance more

Horrible 7/6/2009

We went for Martini Monday July 6, 2009 from 9p-10:45pm. The restaurant was about 1/3 rd full. The bar area was empty. The DJ was boring. The food was over price and HORRIBLE. Not sure who the chef is but they had a item. Puffed pastry stuffed with jered chicken, collard greens, peas & rice. That is a combination that should never happen. Just the thought of all that in a pastry make me want to gag. Pros: Waitress was nice Cons: Menu and Food was horrible more

Worst Dining Experience Ever 6/6/2009

This restaurant is overrated just like its owner. First, the menu is riduculously overpriced. The second inconvenience was the fact that this restaurant does not provide separate checks at all. Pros: Nice Decor Cons: Overpriced and No Separate Checks more

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3/15/2009

DIDDY REALLY NEEDS TO STEP THIS PLACE UP. #1 I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE A NICE B-DAY DINNER HERE.............WRONG... THE MENU WAS VERY SAD, AND WHATS EVEN MORE SAD IS THAT OUR WAITRESS CAME TO TAKE OUR ORDER BUT TOLD US THE THINGS THEY WERE OUT OF,WHICH WAS EVERY DAMN MEAT ON THE MENU, AND HOW HE GONNA HAVE MORE SIDES THAN MAIN PART OF THE MEAL WHICH WAS THE MEATS..... THAT SHYT WASN'T EVEN WORTH THE 5.OO I PAID FOR PARKING AND ONLY ENDED UP ORDERING 2 DRINKS THAT CAME UP TO 28.00 OMG!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS WASTED GAS MONEY.....................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: WORST PLACE IN ATL. more

Overpriced 12/23/2008

Dinner was good. Nothing extraordinary. Overpriced. Also you have to pay five dollars to park, whether you valet or self park. Cons: Fee to self park more

Ripoff Alert! False Advertising! Bait and Switch 5/20/2008

I wanted to do something exttaordinary for my son who graduated earlier in the day from Morehouse College. We went to the Sunday Brunch. What a contradiction to lure people into the restaurant on a Sunday, a holy day. The waffles had to be cut with a steak knife. The chicken was cold. The ribs were tough. The catfish was leftovers from previous days and taste like it had been microwaved for a few days prior. Absolutely horrible! I do not recommend and I am appalled that Sean Combs would associate his child's name with something that was non consumable. Horrible! Horrible! absolutely horrible! Pros: convenient parking Cons: cold, tough day-old food more

Disgusting 5/2/2008

My boyfriend and I went to Justins for the first time tonight. All I can say is the food was disgusting. I ordered the blackened catfish stuffed with crab meat, macaroni and cheese, and red beans and rice. The red beans and rice tasted like ketchup and rice. The mac and cheese was like noodles with cheese glue holding it together and the catfish was rubbery and had no flavor! My boyfriends steak was very fatty and he said his mashed potatoes didn't have any flavor. Something should have told me the restaurant wasn't that good since it was a Friday night and the restaurant was practically empty! We immediately left and went to Houstons (right next to Justins) and had a much better experience there. Pros: Not a long wait time, but thats because no one wants to eat there. Cons: FOOD, FOOD, FOOD! Very overpriced considering the food is so nasty. more
