The ONLY follow up I received from Jones Dermatology on a test that they did was a bill in my mail 2 MONTHS LATER! No follow up calls, no results, nothing...but a bill.\r \r Ob...

New patient 10/15/2009

I was very disappointed in the service I received from this office. I was sent for blood work. I was told that the office would fax the order to the lab for the following morning. However when I arrived at the lab there was no paper work. I called the office and was told that the nurse practitioner had the paper with her. She was not at the office yet. I waited at the lab for another twenty minutes until the fax was finally sent. The lab report was to be mailed to my primary physician for follow up. After waiting two weeks to hear from my dr. , I called his office.\r He had never received the report. When I called Dr Jones office no apology, just we'lll fax it over now. This is my health were dealing with! Never again. Pros: Not happy more

Excellent Referral 11/30/2008

After a move to Truckee, I asked a friend with similar skin issues for a local recommendation. He referred me to Dr. Christian Jones. I have seen Dr. Jones several times and recommend him highly. He and his staff are very professional and helpful, and Dr. Jones' regular treatment of the pre-cancerous spots on my old-guy skin has been thorough. On one visit, he immediately excised a very suspicious area on my leg and had it analyzed quickly before I left on a trip (not malignant, fortunately). I enjoy Dr. Jones' dry wit, and my wife thanks him for giving her the name of a very good hairdresser in Truckee! The clinic's location off Robb Blvd. is very convenient for a Truckee resident. Pros: Convenience to Truckee more

New Patient 9/9/2008

Following my recent move to Reno, I discovered an unusual spot on my leg that persisted for far too long. I consequently scheduled an appointment with Dr. Jones as a new patient. The service provided by both Dr. Jones and his staff was timely, very professional and quiet pleasant. My lack of insurance was not a problem and the fee was entirely reasonable. Fortunately, the spot proved to be nothing serious (simply the result of Reno's unusually dry air) and no further treatment was necessary. However, If the need arose, I would schedule another appointment without reservation. more

Response to review 8/24/2007

Imagine my surprise when, after a week of being in bed with the flu, and trying to take care of my 8 year old twin boys, I learned of a review on City Search that refers to me as bad with children (even though she brought no children with her), having a bad tone of voice, and having the audacity of having receptionists who are college age. I remember this woman on this date of service. I was not given the chance to see her professionally because she did not have any of her insurance information with her - and she refused to call us with it or fax it to us. She also refused to pay for her visit. I offered to see her but advised her she might be billed for the services. I didn't want her to have any surprises from the visit. She chose to leave rather than be seen and pay for services. This was her right, but it is also the right of any professional to be paid for their job. Restaurants don't give food away; lawyers don't give advice away; accountants don't prepare your taxes for free, and grocery stores don't give their products away for free. It is unfortunate that this particular woman did not like me or my staff. It is unfortunate that I was not given the opportunity to help this woman with her problem. But it is also unfortunate that sites such as City Search provide the chance for unhappy people to criticize and hurt people who are only doing their job and trying to raise their children. I'm sorry this individual is unhappy, but attempting to damage my reputation and ability to earn a living is inappropriate, unfair, and uncalled for. The appropriate response would be to seek the care of another dermatologist and expect to not be charged for their services. Respectfully, a dermatology provider who can't, and won't, work for free. more

Terrible, horrible, certainly NOT RECOMMENDED 8/8/2007

This is the worst customer service you could ever get. The receptionists are both college age looking girls who have the worst phone manners I have ever heard. I worked at a licensing board for doctors in this town, and I can't imagine going to a doctor more disrespectful to her clients. Her tone of voice, manners, and overall attitude made this an extremely unplesant experience. Please do not go to these doctors. Good customer service should be high on the list of an educated professional. If you like being belittled or mocked or treated like a child you will love her. Pros: Very little waiting time Cons: You have very little waiting time to be treated terribly by the office staff and the doctor. more
