Impulse is such a wonderful Salon. I have been going there for almost 4 years. I will point out though, that the phone number on this city search is not correct. Call 770-952-0607. I use Lita for my hair cuts and Erin for my color - both are amazing are are so willing to try anything. I always walk out feeling like a million dollars!! Pros: Great Salon more

I go to Michelle and she always gives me the best short cuts and I've seen her do such great long cuts too. She's fairly new but one of the BEST stylists they have. NO JOKE. I LOVE HER. if you want a great cut then go there because you aren't going to find better quality stylists, prices, and you will always have an awsome experience! Pros: clean, nice girls, neat more

Caroline Merrill and Balayage 5/16/2010

I've been going to Impulse for about a year and half, two years now. I started there with Ashley, who decided after the birth of her first child to not return. Ashley was great and I was nervous about trying someone new. With Ashley's recommendation, I went to see Caroline Merrill. What an excellent recommendation! She has continued to offer me great cuts, fantastic color, and recently asked me to try this new ""highlighting"" treatment called Balayage! Though a very timely process the results are amazing. Very natural, sun-kissed highlights are ""painted"" on your hair, allow for a more natural grow out period. I would highly recommend both the treatment and Caroline if you are looking for a fun, fashion forward look for the summer! Pros: Natural look, detailed, fun! Cons: Fairly long process, but worth it! more

not impressed 4/20/2010

i went to zahra to take my hair from a long style to a mid length. the first cut she gave me was ok. not a lot of style and more of a typical 'mom' cut (i wanted more rock and roll movement). i thought it was just going from long to short so decided to give her another go. big mistake. my next appointment she was late for but she brought me back and had me sit in a chair while she finished with the client before me. no magazines, nothing so i surfed on my phone bored. when i got in her chair 20 minutes later she rushed my cut because she had another client (the son of her friend) coming in and then she had to leave to be somewhere. my cut was a mess. uneven, patchy and boring. to top it off, she tried to hide that it was uneven by blowing the style into a flip which i would never wear. i was meeting friends that evening so had to go home to wash and restyle my hair. that is when i saw what she had done. i tried to live with it a few days but it was so bad i called to have another stylist fix it (no way was i going back to zahra). joi, the owner, fixed it but still in a boring, non descript style. that was 2 years ago and i would never go back. i found a much better salon right up the street and have the sharp, edgy cool style now that strangers stop me to comment on.....no thanks to impulse salon. more

Lauren is Amazing 2/23/2010

I followed Lauren to Impulse and have never been disappointed with any of the cuts she has given me. She has great suggestions and is knowledgable and honest. I wouldn't wouldn't want to let anyone else touch my hair. Always leave feeling like a million bucks. Pros: Comfortable Atmosphere and Experienced Stylists more

Love my hair! 1/27/2010

Definitely was impressed by this salon. I have been to my fair share and I was really happy with my stylist Shawn and her work. I haven't stopped getting compliments on my hair since I left. She really helped me with different ways to style my hair and I can actually do it myself! I would definitely recommend Shawn and be sure shes tells you about Kerastase, the products they carry. I just saw Ashley at Impulse recently and was very impressed! I am European and have been searching for an edgy, modern stylist for almost 12 years. I have been in the Atlanta area for a little over 3 years now and haven't found anyone outstanding... Until coming to Impulse. The staff was friendly and the service was outstanding! Ashley gave me an excellent cut and color service! Highly recommended! Pros: great service from Ashley, salon has great atmosphere! Cons: none. more

When I moved to Atlanta, I dreaded finding a new stylist. Everyone I worked with was going to salons inside 285 and I just didn't want to go there. Then I found Lauren. This is the best cut and color I have had...ever. She rocks! more

Great Experience With Staci at Impulse 9/9/2009

I used to go to Staci at a salon in Buckhead, but she recently moved to Impulse in East Cobb. The Haircuts and Colors have always been wonderful with Staci, now, its even better. The Buckhead place was a start-up, very unorganized and inefficient. It wasn't her fault, but there seemed to always be a problem. Now, at Impulse, things are perfect. Fast service- everything aways works, and it's a MUCH MORE cute salon. I always have fun during the hour or 2 I spend with her. Go see her, you won't regret it! Pros: My best Haircuts and Colors Ever- just got better more

The best highlight 8/17/2009

I was refered to Zahra by a friend. I went expecting a good cut and highlight for my daughter's wedding. I not only got a great cut and highlight which I was expecting, but the experience from the time I arrived till the time I left was warm and inviting. I felt like I was with family and someone who cared about the way I looked and overall helth of my hair. I got so many compliments at the wedding. Pros: She is amazing!!!!! Cons: None. more

Finally found her!!! 8/13/2009

I recently moved from texas and was so nervous about finding a stylist. I am extrememly picky! From the minute I walked into impulse i was at ease. LEAH was amazing for both cut and color and highlights. It has been 3 weeks now and both still look amazing.....Leah made for one less thing that I have to worry about in the relocation....and the to me is priceless!!!! I would recommend LEAH to everyone. I feel like I should post a pic to show everyone how amazing my hair looks! Pros: Best Colorist ever! Cons: none! more

Fantastic Stylist 7/14/2009

My stylist Lauren just moved to Impulse Salon and she is awesome! My color is always fab and totally natural. She has a real eye for finding the perfect color. She is an amazing sylist. I am so confident with her that I can sit in the chair and tell her to do whatever she thinks looks best, and it always looks amazing AND she's got all these great product secrets like Kerastase's nectar thermique. OMG, what did I do w/out this stuff?! If you're looking for your new stylist, check Lauren out, she's the REAL DEAL! You will not be disappointed~ Pros: fabulous with color and love my cut more

My stylist Lauren just moved over to Impulse Salon and I would never want to go to anyone else! She consistently has given me the best haircuts I've ever had! She really listens to what I want and always delivers. I'm very particular about my color and need it to look natural because of my profession and she does a great job giving me exactly what I want. What a find! 7/10/2009

I just found this incredible salon tucked away on Village Pkwy off Johnson Ferry. Lauren was my sylist and she was excellent. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and listening skills were evident. I do not think I have ever been more comfortable with a stylist. My hair cut is perfect and I can't say enough about the color. Lauren chose highlights and lowlights and my hair has never looked better. I am so thrilled and wanted to pass this along to everyone. Pros: Best haircut and color I have ever had more

Great Place to go! Will continue to go! 4/20/2009

I had my 1st appiontment with Lindsay this past weekend and was thoroughly impressed. I have been living in Atlanta for 4 years now and JUST found this place I liked! The front office staff was quick and attentive and offered me a drink or a snack. Once I met with Linsday we sat down and she listened to what I had to say about my hair and then gave me her professional perspective on what her thoughts were. I really appreciated her listening to me and also giving me her 2 sense. She showed me around the salon. I got my hair washed and HEAD MASSAGED then she gave me a great cut, showed me techniques on how to actually make my hair look like she did it and used great products! I will definitely go back for that kind of service and expertise AGAIN! Pros: Attentive Staff more
