i went to zahra to take my hair from a long style to a mid length. the first cut she gave me was ok. not a lot of style and more of a typical 'mom' cut (i wanted more rock and roll movement). i thought it was just going from long to short so decided to give her another go. big mistake. my next appointment she was late for but she brought me back and had me sit in a chair while she finished with the client before me. no magazines, nothing so i surfed on my phone bored. when i got in her chair 20 minutes later she rushed my cut because she had another client (the son of her friend) coming in and then she had to leave to be somewhere. my cut was a mess. uneven, patchy and boring. to top it off, she tried to hide that it was uneven by blowing the style into a flip which i would never wear. i was meeting friends that evening so had to go home to wash and restyle my hair. that is when i saw what she had done. i tried to live with it a few days but it was so bad i called to have another stylist fix it (no way was i going back to zahra). joi, the owner, fixed it but still in a boring, non descript style. that was 2 years ago and i would never go back. i found a much better salon right up the street and have the sharp, edgy cool style now that strangers stop me to comment on.....no thanks to impulse salon.
