Editorial review from Citysearch 6/19/2013

I had been referred here by my cousin and when I told my co-workers that I was going dress shopping they all got excited when I told them I was going to I Do. Dress shopping was not great for me at many of the other local stores and it was such a difference when I went here. The lady who helped me was fantastic. She knew her stuff and picked dresses on for me to try that were like what I wanted but most of all gave really honest feedback about what would look best on me. There was no pressure to buy and no gimmick sales tactics that make me uncomfortable. My dress came in a few weeks earlier than they had promised and they were able to get me in the same day they called to try it on. I probably spent an hour just prancing around in it and was grateful that they took so much time with me. This store has great service and prices. I am so glad that I found my dream dress here! I will highly recommend them to anyone that I know who is getting married! more

Overall a good experience 8/4/2010

My sister recently got engaged. She was coming up to Seattle for a visit and we thought we would look at some wedding dresses. So I booked an appt at I Do Bridal. I've driven past this place several times and always wanted to check out the business. Overall our experience was great. There was no high pressure sales. Our sales associate took a ton of time with us. She understood my sister was trying on her first dresses and that we were still looking. In fact we found my sister's dress there and the only reason why we didn't purchase it was we found it for less closer to my sister's city. Otherwise we would've gone back to purchase it. more

I DO BRIDAL 6/16/2010

I had a great experince with I Do Bridal, and I would recomend anyone to go there. They are in a small building and there isnt a lot of room, but they make up for it with GREAT customer service and selection of gowns. They dont pressure you into making bigger purchases, or try to add on item after item at the register (ie veil, shoes etc). Even after my gown was fully paid for, and I returned to pick it, they where super nice and I felt like they were generally excited and happy for me! Pros: Great customer service, great variety of gowns. Cons: Lighting wasnt that great when trying on gowns, space is smal more

Awesome Experience! 11/30/2009

My older sister lives in Wallingford and scheduled an appointment for us to go to I Do Bridal when I was in town. I am SO GLAD!!! Once I met Alicia who helped us I totally relaxed. She was so friendly and professional. She really listened to what I was looking for and helped me find a beautiful Robin Jillian dress that I cannot wait to wear. Since I bought my dress everyone that I have told about my dress shopping there has said the same great things about them. I am so happy to have a beautiful dress that was well within my budget and to support a small local business. Pros: Small business, nice staff, beautiful dresses Cons: none! more

RUN AWAY. AVOID. 9/21/2009

I write this review with a heavy heart as I like to give my business to local companies, but please avoid this store. It's not that the staff is not nice - they just screwed up my order in a BIG way. Their attempts to rectify the situation were not acceptable and left me on my own to fix their mistake just a week before my wedding. I was faced with paying several hundred extra dollars towards fabric and seamstress fees due to their carelessness. Not to mention the extra stress no bride needs to have! Ever! After my honeymoon, I asked I Do Bridal to refund the rush charges for my initial order, plus to pay for the extra fabric and fees that THEIR MISTAKE caused. After contacting the owner via email (she had previously ignored my two certified letters) she refused to pay. Enough said. Take your business elsewhere! Cons: I am giving them one star because I have to. more

I would give them zero stars if I could 9/14/2009

I am only giving this shop one star because I have to - I would rather give it zero stars. Cons: read the review more

Wonderful Bridal Boutique 8/21/2009

The staff at I Do Bridal are knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I tried on about a third of the store in a little more than an hour, and thanks to the personable staff it was a pleasant experience instead of a stressful one. I received my dress quickly, and it looked perfect. I purchased my dress, shoes, and hair piece there for less than $1000.00. The dresses are exquisite, yet extremely affordable. I Do Bridal does not offer in house alterations though, and it was a bit of a hassle to get them done elsewhere. Despite this, I Do Bridal was very helpful in recommending good tailors. I encourage every bride to check out their store. Their window displays alone are worth the visit. Pros: Friendly staff, great selection, excellent customer service Cons: No alterations in house more

Found my dream dress! 6/19/2009

I saw a dress in their window when I was driving by and stopped in to take a look at it. Since my wedding isn't for almost a year I was not planning on trying anything on. They were super busy but had an opening a few minutes from when i arrived. Morgan took a lot of time to talk to me about what I like and the details of the wedding that Brian and I had arranged so far. I really liked the dress in the window but, it was the one that she picked out that blew me away. It was really light and comfortable and I knew it would be perfect for my outdoor/casual wedding. Since I am not one to make a quick decision she agreed to hold the dress for me overnight and I couldn't wait to go back and try it on again. I took my fiance and was worried that it was weird to have him there but, they were so nice and really made us both feel comfortable. It is so exciting to have the dress done and it was much more reasonable than I expected. In fact the one she picked for me was almost half the price of the original in the window. I give them huge props for being so accommodating and honest with us! Pros: Good Value, Nice people Cons: N/A more

Found a Great Dress But Too many mistakes and hassles 5/31/2009

I decided to take my dress and veil out today. I was surprised to notice that my $169 veil had a defect in the beadwork. (Side note: IDB made a mistake in the measurement of my first veil and then re-ordered me another one. After looking closely at the veil it may be the same one except altered because the edges are not clean and the beads are bunching up - the veil company may have not sent back a new one). Pros: Nice dress Cons: Too many errors with my order. more

Thank goodness I found them! 5/1/2009

My wedding planning has been kind of rushed since my fiance is leaving to Afghanistan in June and we had thought we would have a year or two before we needed to get serious about planning. It has been really stressful and I was worried about finding a dress that I could afford and having it in time for my May wedding. Pros: Helpful, good prices, tons of dresses, friendly people more

Extra costs and fees are a lie!!! 4/28/2009

This store is terrible. I had gone to so many bridal shops and had been met with so much graciousness at most all of them. This shop was like a hop in, hop out, order and get out type of place. Pros: Only a couple of the salespeople Cons: Dirty, smelly and LOTS OF LIES! more

Outstanding Bridal Shop! 4/6/2009

This was the second bridal shop that I went to. The first was David's Bridal and there was really no comparison. Bridget was my sales person and she was so fantastic! I went in hoping I might find a dress that would work for me (I'm not really into frilly princess stuff) and actually found a dress that I LOVE. Actually, Bridget found it for me. I was concerned about time because I went in with just over three months to go before my wedding. Bridget was very reassuring and encouraged me to just focus on finding a dress that I loved and that we would find a way to make it work. And we did! I just picked my dress up yesterday and I couldn't be happier with my whole experience there. Pros: Great selection, reasonably priced, customer service Cons: Small shop, no on-site alterations more

Thrilled I Shopped at I Do ! 3/29/2009

My mom was in town and we showed up without an app. yesterday (a busy Saturday) and they squeezed us in once my mom explained she was only here for two days from CA. Jen and another salesgirl brought out so many choices it was so hard to decide. I ended up purchasing a gown and veil and these girls made it even more special for me to know my mother was part of this experience. I will reccommend I Do to all my friends and future brides, I think they have something for everyone ! Thanks girls ! Pros: Lovely Staff, Great Gowns ! Cons: None to think of ! more

Avoid at all costs 3/28/2009

Finding a wedding gown is supposed to be a wonderful experience. That will not be the case if you shop at I Do Bridal. The gown selection is tiny as are the dressing rooms, the staff looks like they are still hung over from an all night mosh pit and the whole place has a dirty sleezy feel to it. Think used car sales lot. To add insult to injury, the manager is rude and the prices are too high. Cons: dirty shop, sleezy inexperienced sales help, poor selection more

Very good experience 3/9/2009

I went to a couple of shops in Seattle and Tukwila before going to ""I Do Bridal"" in Wallingford. I really liked this shop - it's smaller, but it has a good selection at reasonable prices and the staff is competent and great to work with. I had such a good experience that I'm really surprised about the negative reviews. Pros: Very good selection, prices are mostly under a grande, great staff more

Made me a seriously happy bride! 2/12/2009

I chose to visit I Do Bridal as they responded so fast to my inquiry email (two other bridal shops have not responded to my emails yet!) The email was prompt and polite and offered me an appointment within 4 days of my email. They asked me lots of questions and I explained my bad experiences with two Bellevue bridal shops and my desires to find a dress. I actually felt relieved when I was emailing with them, they seemed like they were ready to help me and that I wasnt hopeless! I am not your standard bride, I have no big-white-wedding day dreams. I am just ready to marry my Fiance! Pros: Bridget, Selection, Nice Space, Bridget (and the rest of the ladies!) Cons: Street Parking Only more

Poor Attitude 1/23/2009

I am a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding and we were excited to go to I Do Bridal. Unfortunately our consultant did not offer her the ""bridal"" experience she was hoping for. Immediately I was made to feel a nuisance by the consultant. When she asked the budget things took a turn for the worse. Although the bride's father would've paid anything, the bride is frugal so we said under $1000, $500-$600 would be ideal. Mistake. From that point on it was clear the consultant couldn't care less about this bride. The ONLY time her eyes lit up was when my bride picked out a $2000 dress to try on. She immediately gushed about how beautiful it was and pulled it. She stopped pulling when she had maybe 7-8 dresses and said we have enough. I noticed how lovely some of the other consultants in the salon were dressed, as opposed to ours in cargo pants, T-shirt and a sweater. She was totally condescending to us both and when we had about 15 minutes left in our hour appt. would look at the clock everytime I found a new dress for the bride to try. The real kicker was when the first dress tried on didn't flatter the bride we nixed it and said we didn't like the sweetheart neckline. In an obvious attempt to hurry us along midway through the appointment the consultant put one of the pulled dresses back before the bride tried it on, ""it has a sweetheart neckline and you said you didn't like those,"" dripping with a ""since you're so smart"" sarcasm. Well, the rest of the dress had everything we liked! I put it back in the dressing room and it ended up being one of 2 dresses the bride liked! Only then did the consultant find out that the neckline could be altered. We were out of there in our hours time and without saying a word to each other as soon as we were out the door the bride said, ""what terrible customer service! I will never buy from here!"" Hopefully this consultant was just having a bad day or I Do Bridal will surely lose customers because of her. more

TA DA! Well done again, I DO BRIDAL 1/1/2009

Being that I work in the event industry, I take my referrals to clients, and friends very seriously. Not one client, friend or family member I've sent to I DO BRIDAL, has ever been dissapointed with them. Most recently, I was asked to be part of the Dress shopping for, A dear friend and his now wife. I jumped at the chance to take her to I DO BRIDAL. Men, dont get a say in dress shops very often. We had a great time. Love, these gals...so happy, professional, and super easy to work with. TA DA...she found her dress. I, couldnt believe my eyes when I saw her in the final dress she tried on. Being a very petite girl, they got her the right, size, length, and style for her body. I must say she was an incredible vision, walking down the aisle. The groom, was blown away, when he saw her come down the aisle. THANKS, LADIES, another Well done job. more

Pleasant shopping experience 10/3/2008

This is the first time that I have ever written a review about a shopping experience but, I was so blown away by the kind and genuine people that worked at this little store. Pros: Kind people, Good Variety, Organized and thoughtful more

attacked 9/20/2008

My sister just purchased a dress that was in stock used for trying on at I Do Bridal this week. They were told when they purchased it that there was nothing wrong with the dress-it might just need a cleaning. When they took the dress out of the bag the next day they were shocked to find several significant rips in the bottom half of the skirt. When they called the store to see what could be done, instead of being offered an apology, solutions, or advice they were attacked and told that they must have ripped the dress themselves in an attempt to put one over on the store- like any bride would do that! I guess customer service ends the second that they have your money. I would definitely not recommend this store! Pros: had the dress she wanted Cons: horrible service more
