I had to do my kitchen over and if you never did it , I found it to be something I would not do again alone. Until I had to do the appliances Hudson Appliance made it easy. My salesperson new what they were talking about made sure my contractor got all the spec's and also made sure they followed it to the finish . I would buy from them again they have all the brands and a great showroom. Pros: great slection Cons: No cons they have a good sales department more

BUYER BEWARE - DON'T BUY FROM HUDSON APPLIANCE! 10/9/2008

I spent almost $10,000 at Hudson Appliance last year. Now, one year and one month later, my supposed top of the line, highly recommended by the salesperson, LG refrigerator started making this loud noise and stopped working. I called Hudson Appliance and they told me there was nothing they could do, I could make an appt with the service people and pay to have it fixed Mind you, when I was purchasing they said they stand behind their products 100%, they go above and beyond, blah blah blah....I was never offered an option to purchase an extended warranty, and when I tried to after the fact I could not buy one. I spent $2400 on a fridge that crapped out on me, spoiled upwards of $500 in food in my fridge/freezer. This happened on a Tuesday and the fastest turn around the service guys could give me was Saturday. I'm very afraid about the rest of the appliances I purchased there now. Needless to say, I will NEVER use them again, and I want to warn anyone against using them. They used to be a small home town business, but they have gotten a few large contracts (ie, the new over 55 condo's on Main St - the Esplanade is one example) and now they don't care anymore about the single home owner, they are only in it for the large contractors! hudson appliance review 8/4/2008

I was also surprised to see such bad reviews for Hudson Appliance. I have bought a dishwasher from them and they were completely professional from the customer service when I was looking to unwrapping the appliance in my drive way and carrying it into my home. I wonder if those other bad reviews were from competitors? Hudson is one of the best around and certainly better than any box store. I am in the process of buying the rest of my kitchen appliances from them (am waiting for the tax holiday) and they have given me the best prices around, even better the biggest appliance and electric shop based out of the Boston area (whose name I won't mention here). If I could give them 6 stars I would! Pros: professional, best prices around, easy to work with Cons: Not as many floor display items as I would have liked more

MOST INFORMED SALES PEOPLE, BEST SERVICE AROUND 4/18/2008

I don't normally write reviews but the sales people in this store deserve recognition for the professional way they handle themselves. The time they spent with me making sure I had all the information to make the right choices.... without any pressure. I have been searching for several months to buy appliance for my new house and I have talked to many sales people only to get totally confused about the product. The sales people at Hudson Appliance have been well trained and informed on all the products they sell and I felt very confortable with them. I bought all my appliance from them and their prices were comparable with other stores but the service I received was the best. I received my delivery on the day I was promised and everything went smoothly. Everyone needs to check this store out for themselves and I'm sure they will be as pleased as I was. more

I couldn't believe some of the reviews suggested they had a bad experience here, so I felt compelled to send a better message. I have always found they had better prices, service, and knowledge about their products than any of the major appliance retailers I have compared them to. My entire kitchen is all products bought from Hudson Appliance. You can tell from the moment you walk through the door it's a family owned business that cares alot about your experience and would do everything they could to keep customers happy. Put simply, not only have I have several great experiences, but I've been watching them grow their business for the last twenty years and you don't last that long without building positive relationships throughout the entire community. more

Bought an LG washer and dryer from Hudson Appliance. Had excellent customer service in store. Delivery was prompt and had phone call about 1 month later to check on washer and dryer. Also have bought other items in past with absolutely no problems. Store is local, family owned and great customer service. Pros: quality appliances excellent customer service more

Absolutely the best place to buy all your appliances!! 4/12/2008

I have purchased several appliances from this store over the years. The prices are nearly always better than than the competition (including the big box stores) and you get to buy from a family owned business that treats their customers right. I remodeled my kitchen about a year ago and I bought all new stainless steel appliances from Hudson Appliance. The prices were great and they delivered everything within 2 days. Last week, while I was at the store and picking out a new patio grille, I told the salesman about a broken plastic part on my microwave door handle. It was a trim piece and I had glued it back in place and you could'nt have seen it unless it was pointed out to you. I only mentioned it because I was curious if it was a common problem with that model. The sales person said that he was not aware that it was, but he told me that he would get me a completely new handle assembly and have his service people install it. I repeatedly told him that I did not care about fixing it because it really was not all that visible. He really felt it should be replaced and two days later the part was in and the service technician came and replaced the broken part - free of charge to me. That is the type of customer service I have repeatedly been exposed to at this store. more

Don't buy from these guys! 3/20/2008

Unfortunately checking this too late. We just bought Frigidaire washer/dryer matching set only they don't match. Two different color whites. Service manager comes to check it out, reeks of cigarette smoke, breaks my front door on the way out and tells me its all in my head. He doesn't see a difference. One sales rep says they would have to open 100 boxes to find one that matches. Our sales rep says since his customer service rep didn't see a difference he can't help us. Delivery guys took machines out of boxes and shoved across asphalt driveway; didn't use dolly until they got so steps/sidewalks. I have buyer's remorse and I haven't even used these yet. Thinking back, s. rep said they had model on floor. We drove out there to see for that reason only no model on floor. I'm also telling everyone I know. STAY AWAY!!!!! more

Fair Prices but not so good on service 7/1/2007

We bought a dishwasher from them. We should have guessed we were going to have issues since the installer told us the Whirlpool wwe had just bought wasn't going to last as long as the Tappen we had. Sure enough we shortly had them back to remove a jam. The icing on the cake was when they charged us $87 for a reset code which was a known issue with this particular Whirlpool. more

Buyer Beware 3/16/2007

I bought a new Frigidaire washer and dryer from Hudson App. Nothing cheep it is a front load washer and matching dryer, with good ratings. After delivery I noticed small things like they hooked up the cold and hot water on the wrong sides. And they charged me for a new cord for the dryer but used the old one. Management did refund after I called with no explanation about shoddy work. \r A few months (3 or so) after the washer started to leak and shake violently. Repair is dispatched and says to use high efficiency detergent and smaller loads. Still leaks. Repair says don?t do small loads do big loads. Still leaks. Rant rave. Repair replaces the door and scratches the hinge (still scratched) on the new door. Leak stops after months of complaining.\r Washer is leaking again in the same way and I am told it is out of warrantee. I complain that this is a pre existing condition. We argue and mostly I am told prove anything I said was true, I have all the emails etc. Bully tactics and bad business. Buyer Beware.\r Telling you? I?m telling everyone. Pros: Some high end appliances Cons: Won?t stand behind their product. Questionable business tactics more
