I followed Renee from her old salon so, I know how wonderful she is. It makes me so happy to be able to tell someone how much I love her!!! The first time I met her, I was in the middle of a hair crisis and she made it all better. She made me feel confident immediately that she could fix my mess. That was 3 years ago and no one else has touched my hair since and no one ever will. She listens to my personal problems and smiles she is like a therapist (but cheaper and I not only feel better when I leave, I look better too.) You must give her a try. I am not lying when I say that she is the best ever. more

This is the 1st time I have ever written a review on anything, and I just had to write after my experience here! April is AWESOME!!! I came in to the salon with green/ashy blonde & red hair (it was as bad as it sounds!) and April consulted with me and even came in on her day off to take care of me (she wanted to be sure she had enough time to correct the color). She did an amazing job and gave me the haircolor I have always wanted, but could never obtain anywhere else! I would definitely recommend April and can't wait for my next appointment! It took years to find April - and I'll never let her go! I'd follow her anywhere - no one has been able to correct my hair color and give me the hair I've always dreamed of. I followed April from her previous salon and would follow her to the ends of the earth - she IS that good!! If you're looking for a colorist/stylist who listens, is extremely talented and will work with you to correct color and cut, April is it. I honestly don't know what I would do without April - she is amazingly talented...and such a sweet person. Up till now, I had been searching for a salon and stylist in and about Apex/Cary/Raliegh. It was recommended by a salon in Raleigh that I see April at the Hair Color Xperts location in Cary. (Thanks for the tip!) That's now my recommendation if you are looking for a new stylist or a great men's haircut in the Cary and surrounding areas. (I'm sure she does equally skilled cuts and styles for ladies, but being a man, that's all I can speak to.) I was VERY pleased with the result and her ability to interpret my do and don't cut requests. You'll find as a bonus to complete the experience, that she is an intelligent, upbeat conversationalist. Thank you April! Pros: Friendly employees, talented sylist, good prices, late Wed. & Thur. hours, oh yeah and coffee:) Cons: I can't speak to color since I only got a cut. I decided to try Hair Color Experts because my friend suggested it to me after my hair stylist moved away. I chose the Cary location and was given to April who had just moved from working in Chapel Hill. I told her I wanted her suggestions and to put her own style into the haircut. I mean, hair stylists are artists right? I loved my highlights and haircut when she was finished. It was the right length (short!), the right shade of blonde, and it was trendy! I love funky! Being open minded is a good quality to have. April rocks. And she is a sweet person to talk with too! Pros: Individual attention, the service is great Cons: Needs more working space more

Vicky is my main stylist but I've also been to Lauren. They are both fabulous! I left my previous stylist because she wasn't very friendly and never listened to me in regards to my color and never got it quite right. Vicky offered to call my old salon in CT (where I lived previously) and make sure I got the color I wanted. The only criticism I have of this place is the whole inclusion of "Brown Betty" which is apparently dye for the "hair down there" (including, yes, hot pink). Not only does it seem out of place for the location but also it seems out of place for the clientele. It screams "OBVIOUSLY A MAN OWNS THIS SALON TO THINK IT IS A GOOD IDEA!" I can't imagine a woman with decent business sense thinking the same. **To Larry's response - I do not see what is so discreet about a sign in the front door saying "Brown Betty - for the hair down there - sold here!" Until very recently, the sign was there for months (it has since been removed). I also question whether you really had people saying, "You know, Larry, what I really need is color for the hair down there." How did you assess the "need"? I suspect you found this product on the internet, placed it in your salon and think people buying obviously means there is a "need". You seem to be jumping to conclusions that may not be correct. If hot pink is being sold, as a business owner I would not automatically think "Well women really WANT this." You don't interview your clients while purchasing so you can't assume their reasoning. I suspect some actually think of it as a gag gift. Most women in their 20s and 30s don't have a need especially with the current trends in grooming!!! I use this salon for the stylists, not for that particular product and I would assume you don't GAIN clients because it is in your salon (just potentially offend the ones you already have). I could pick something similar up from a novelty store at the mall and if I wanted that, I'd get my hair done at the mall. I went to Haircolorxperts a few weeks ago and was astonished by the care and attention to detail that I received from my stylist. I highly recommend a visit to Vickie Armstrong. She gave me great suggestions to update my look and was honest about what would look good with my skin tone and personality. When I left the salon I immediately felt confident and stylish, something that rarely happens when I get my hair done. I know that I?ll be seeing her from now on!! more

Haircolorxperts is by far the best salon I have been to in the area. I am not one to stay at one place for a long period of time, but I think I may have found a new home. The entire staff welcomed me and made my visit one I will definitely never forget. Brittany Goodman was my stylist and I was thoroughly impressed with her. She gave me a style that suited my personality and certainly met my expectations. Usually when I leave the salon my hair looks amazing but once I try to do it myself it NEVER looks the same. That was not the case here. Brittany showed me how to maintain my hairstyle and believe it or not my hair continues to look the way it did when I left the salon. more

I hate to boast, but my hair looks amazing. If one more person gives me a compliment I am going to scream! No not really, but my hair looks that good. I have been going to another salon ever since I moved to the Triangle, but in need of a change I decided to give Haircolorxperts a shot. One of the best decisions I ever made.
