I went to this location for the first time last week and loved it! I was made comfortable and offered refreshments while Paige, the stylist who helped me, talked about what I wanted to do as far as a cut and color. I had a really great time and left VERY satisfied with the results! I’ll be back! Pros: Service, environment Cons: parking more

I've been going to Haircolorxperts for years. Each time I go, I've had a different hair stylist. A few times with the same one. I would tell them what color I would like my hair dyed and even show them pictures. They would never get it right. One time I told the hairstylist I want my hair dyed and highlighted the same way I had it last time. They are supposed to write it down and keep it in a folder or computer in the back. The hairstylist said ok and dyed and highlighted my hair. When she started blow drying it I realized this was not the color I had last time. I asked her about it and she said "The hairstylist you had last time didn't write anything down for you so I just put some colors together". It was awful she had to then re-dye my hair. Instead of telling me there was no past file of my hair color she made it up. This was the worst experience I've had at Haircolorxperts. I went in to get my hair dyed. I told the hairstylst I want my hair blonde just with more brown highlights nothing fancy or extreme. She had a headache that night and instead of rescheduling she stayed to dye my hair. Her mom ended up coming to pick her up. Long story short she did the worst dye I've ever seen. I looked like Rainbow Bright. My hair had different chunks of colors all throughout it. I went back the next day and another hairstylist fixed my hair for free. I told her how I wanted it. She dyed my hair and it was so dark with so little blonde highlights going through that I looked like the mother on Addam's Family. It was awful. I went back the next day to another hairstylist who tried to fix my hair without having it fall off from dying it too much. The manager even helped her. It looked better when I left the place the third time, but it still wasn't what I wanted and having to keep going back and ruining my hair was not worth it. Don't be fooled by the name of the store. They aren't experts. I can give you plenty more stories of how they've messed up my hair and others. Pros: cleaning the floors, giving you water Cons: Cannot dye hair more

Jalpa is a miracle worker! My hair is very hard to work with. I have ALOT of it, its thick and is very hard to color. Jalpa gives me easy to manage haircuts and the color is absolutely terrific. Not only is she very talented, she is very sweet. I have had nothing but great experiences with Jalpa. I would highly recommend her! Pros: Best haircut and color in the area more

I moved here recently from NY and asked my neighbor who cuts/colors her hair because it always looked so good. She suggested I make an appointment with Michele Wright at Haircolorxperts at the Arboretum in Cary. I have always had a problem with fine, limp hair and was never able to achieve a 'natural' style. Michele listened to my concerns and discussed my current routine before she began to work. When she was done, I was thrilled! I couldnt believe that after all these years, someone finally got it right! Even my husband, who doesnt notice anything, was impressed with her work. I was so pleased with her that I made an appointment for color before I left the salon. I went back a week later and was equally impressed with the color Michele applied. I couldnt thank Michele enough for doing such a wonderful job and making me feel really good about my hair. This salon is great! The receptionists were warm and friendly,and offered me coffee, while I was waiting. Marlo was my stylist, from the moment I sat in her chair I felt comfortable. I felt like she really listened to my likes and dislikes about my hair. She gave me a great haircut and the most beautiful color! I have never been so happy with my hair until now! She even took the time to show me how to style my new haircut! All I can say is WOW! You definetly have to give this salon a try, I promise you will not be sorry! Pros: Everything Cons: None more

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt that this place deserved it. I took a chance and found this place here on city search, I saw all the good reviews so I called made an appointment for cut and color. Everyone was nice from the moment I walked in. Paige was great at working with me to find out what exactly I wanted. She fixed my hair up nicely after months of home coloring. She made my hair look and feel great. My hair literally sparkles! I have never made my appointment for my next visit right then and there, but I did this time. I am looking forward to going back! I just moved into the area and I'm very particular about the way my hair is cut. A lot of stylists don?t like me the second I walk in because I am very specific? but my stylist at haircolorxperts was so great in listening to exactly what I wanted! She listened to every word and didn?t let her ego get in the way (like some other stylists in this area). She did such a great job with my hair that I will never go to another salon again! The reviews are all true honestly! My hairdresser is so great and amazing at Haircolorxperts. She listens to exactly what I want and always makes sure she has it just right. Their service matches their product every time. I?m a student in Chapel Hill and obviously living on a student budget, but the final product I get makes it all worth the drive and the price! (which is very reasonable considering some other salons in the area). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Pros: Excellent Service, Great Rates, Great Final Product! Tonya did my hair and I absolutely love it. She created a piece of art and it just happened to be on my head. The Cut is fabulous and the color to die for. She did the Brasilian Keritain treatment on me and I love love love it! So if you need a new look or just want to feel pampered then she is the girl for you! I have found my stylist forever! Went in for advice on how to color a bit of gray, and I wanted some highlights. Was talked into some lowlights. She put red on my hair and said it came out "FUNKY". Funky is not a good word when talking about someone's hair. She left me with wet hair in the bowl and put all kinds of toners, trying to calm down the red. My head started burning & stinging and I begged to have it washed outta my hair. I wanted to cry and scream, but there was no getting outta there, she proceed to dry it and beg to put highlights in it, I said, ENOUGH, I want to leave. Please, don't go into this place if you want to look natural. My stylist and I did not have good communication about what I wanted. Now I am stuck with this hair and hopefully I can find another stylist that can help me get back to my natural color. It may take months to repair the damage done by this salon. Yes, I was charged 150.00 for this insult. It will probaly take another 500.00 to repair the damage. I am already broke enough as it is. BEWARE Cons: no goot communication more

I thought I would try Haircolorxperts because of all the great reviews.. I'm so glad I did! Marlo was my stylist, she is fantastic! I felt like she really listened to my concerns about my hair.. she is very knowledgeable about color,she matched my new hair color according to my eye color and skin tone. I came to this web site several weeks ago to find a recommended salon to get my hair done, as I am new to the area. I read several reviews about Haircolor Xperts and decided to give it a try. I got my hair done by Renee' and found her to be very professional and friendly. I really liked what she did to my hair and rescheduled to see her in a couple of weeks. The reception staff was very friendly and courteous. They even got me a cup of coffee that was wonderful. The salon assistant washed my hair and it was FANTASTIC she was very thourough and the massage was very relaxing. The atmosphere was friendly, you can tell that the other employees get along very well and really care about each other. It is important to me to visit a place that is not hostile and unwelcoming. I have a friend moving to the area and she will be going to visit this salon as well. I highly recomment this establishment. Pros: Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. A person with a name that starts with an R. who is suppose to be at a Director level and has over 14+ years of Haircut and Color experience did my hair about three weeks ago. She overprocessed the color while reading a novel and left me with my head in the wash bowl for 45+ minutes.. hello doesn't this cause a stroke. Then when she cut my hair she cut a big hole in it where she was just suppose to trim my layers. I will never ever go to this place ever again. The worst color, hair cut ever!! after a not so hot experience at a salong in the mall, i decided it was time for a change. i heard alot about haircolorxperts and choose the cary location closer to my house. naturally i was nervouse to try a new place but i left there feeling so refreshed and please d with my decision. the GM michele was so friendly and attentive and there to make sure my experience was going good. tonya cut my hair and did a great job. i am so glad i found a salon i feel good about, especially before the holidays. What a refreshing salon. Its so nice to finally find a salon where they know what they are doing. I just moved here and thought I would still have to go back to N.Y to get a haircut and color. Andrew did such a FABULOUS cut and color I am thrilled. It really was the Best Blowout I have ever had. The whole staff really clicked with eachother. The manager even made me coffee!!!
