First off, we were blessed by the weather! Blue sky, upper 60's, no wind. And then, midweek on a Wednesday, very few people. Too bad for GI, but wonderful for us. We didn't have t...

A Very Nice Day 9/14/2011

A girlfriend of mine was coming out to visit and we decided to do something fun and just for us. We purchased the Paradise package and had a wonderful time! Check-in was quick, the staff was friendly and professional and the grounds were pristine. Parking was not an issue - we arrived 1/2 hour before our first scheduled appointment and were able to park in the first row. All services were exceptional. The only negatives were the Cafe Sole and The Grotto. The line at the cafe was long and in order to make our next scheduled appointment, we were forced to choose food that was not necessarily what we wanted. The Grotto is a unique and fun experience, but for those that are not sure-footed, the floors are slippery and the doors between the rooms are a bit heavy to maneuver with slippery floors and hands. That said, these negatives are very minor and I would definitely recommend a day at Glen Ivy to anyone. Next time, I'll forego the package and just have a couple of services so I can spend more time lounging :) more

My previous favorite place 9/9/2011

Glen Ivy is still a wonderful place to visit and enjoy yourself however, newbies have no idea that before the new management took over it was much better a year ago. Please bring back the paradise we fell in love with years ago. more

My 1st. day at Glen Ivy Hot Springs 9/5/2011

It was a nice drive there from the desert. I decided to go there for my B-day alone. It was an unforgetable adventure. I had a great time. I pampered myself and had a very nice pedicure. Felt very spoiled. Staff was friendly. The grounds are clean and beautiful. Somewhere to just get away and forget your worries!!!!I will be back!!!!! more

had a great time, just a few hiccups. 9/5/2011

Had a great time during our visit. However, as someone who suffers from IBS, it was very difficult to find a lunch item on your menu. There were 2 sandwiches that I was able to modify to my needs, but the chicken was small and the bun was quite large. Disappointing. Also I had paid for heated stones during my massage, bbut they were not used. Got a refund, but wish there had not been a "lack of communication." more

Awfu!!! 9/3/2011

I had a facial at Brea glen ivy $125, and it was a complete waste of money. The esthetician talked the whole time about her problems. You are suppose to relax and look great after , well not for me. I will never go back to glen ivy ever again!! I wasted my money. more

DISGUSTING!! 8/31/2011

We have been to plenty of spas and I would not call this one. We were charged for everything up front!! The place is totally misrepresented on the website. The "mineral baths" had more than one person in them and were tiny. The lounging pool was body on body floats. The "mud bath" looked like a pottery wheel with a blob of red clay on it. The lounge chairs were covered in mud from the past sweaty, filthy people that laid on them. We decided to try out hardest to have stay and have lunch to kill time before our massage appointment, mind you this restaurant supposedly has an award winning chef, we were served in a cafeteria style line with a wet tray. The person who mixed my salad was worker, not any kind of chef. The salad was saturated in dressing and the nuts were chewy and old. After that my friend and I had enough. We went to get the heck out there. There was no way we could stay there another 2 hours or even a minute. Tried to get a refund from the girl at the check in, she denied me and I spoke with the manager and told him my problem (charged over $300.00), told me they were booked to maximum capacity and that they could not rebook the massages. I'm sure they rebooked the massages and kept my money. more

Glen Ivy Hot Springs Special Occassion 8/20/2011

I took my daughter for her Birthday and we had an amazing time. I scheduled massages under the oaks which was so peaceful and relaxing, we enjoyed the mud bath, mineral waters, and our facials. We also were scheduled for the grotto in the caves where you can get hydrated fully with cream. The only drawback for me and mentioned aloud by another lady, was that there was a group (10) ladies that came in and were talking and laughing really loud. In that cool cave, was a time to enjoy the relaxing waters and experience. So I now know better in the future if I book that particular appointment, make sure to tell the representative not to book with a party crew. Other than that food, and every amenity, even the store was spectacular. Alhambra, CA more

Love Glen Ivy 8/18/2011

This is my third year going to Glen Ivy. I have experienced good custmer service each time i have been there. The food is great, especially their nachos my niece loves them. My sister and my two nieces try to go there at least a couple of times a year especially during the months of july and august. It is such a relaxing place to go. I love it or i should say we love it. more

Ghetto Party Spa 8/17/2011

If you want to be at a mass adult swim pool, being herded like cattle to one place to another fighting to get through and this sounds relaxing to you then this is the place for you. The people who work here are unhappy, rude, and lack the understanding of customer service. As soon as you get there, the first thing they will ask you is "Do you have a reservation?" No polite introductions and then be told which line to wait in in the SUN for that matter. Services done here are "ok" at best but why drive out so far to this secluded area to be around intoxicated people, cramming into different pool areas to receive mediorce services and then treated like a number at the staff. Don't pay extra for the GROTTO thing! That's a complete joke!!!! A waste of money! Basically, they are putting lotion on your body, you sit in a moist room, wash off, then they try to make it sound all exciting by saying we have apples, water and tea for you to have done there. But come on??? The apples looked all brusied and some had white unwashed stuff on it and tea is so cheap. This was not as great as it sounded in the brochure thing. REALLY, if you like overspending, wasting time, being ghetto, drinking and seeing a mass of people around you all the time then come here. more

Poor Experience 8/15/2011

My husband and I attended in June and had a horrible experience and both decided we'd never return, nor would we recommend Glen Ivy Corona to our friends & family. The check-in time was 30 mins. The space at all pools and lounge areas were over populated. Too loud, how can one "relax"? Lines and people bumping into you right and left. The services... GREAT! No line, quiet and quick to check-in and exit. The lunch line at the Cafe... NEVER AGAIN! 42 minute wait to order. Another 10 minutes to get our food. The area was too caotic and unorganized. EVERYONE IN LINE MENTIONED IT WAS A POOR EXPERIENCE! Once we got our food and paid, we sat outside and bee's swarmed over our heads and all over my plate. We were tempted to walk out right there and then. We finished our meal and instead of resuming our day, we left. Really disappointed and won't be returning. more

Birthday experience for husband 8/13/2011

My Glen Ivy experience was very nice, I brought my husband for his birthday and he was able to get in for free. The check in time was very prompt on a Thursday, I expecteded otherwise. The swedish massage was fabulous but would have liked a longer massage. the grotto was not as moisturizing as claimed to be, our skin was very dry afterwards. The food was fantastic and very reasonable for such large portions, although a larger resturant or a second resturant would be a great option. Overall our experience was good, I do believe the the spa is a place for women more so than for men to get away and enjoy. more

Bad first time experience 8/8/2011

I've been to many spa's and I've enjoyed my experience. I planned my mother 61 st. birthday celebration at Glen Ivy. I did not enjoy my visit. I have a problem with the drinking, lack of assistance when directions was needed and the over packed swimming and lounging area's. I will never return. more

Review of Glen Ivy 8/7/2011

The spa is beautiful - however, it we had not had a cabana there would have been no way to enjoy it. Maybe the number of people attending should be limited according to the size and amenities of the facility. more

a little paradise 8/6/2011

had a very best experience . my girlfriend and i spent all day there used every pool they had took a nap in the shade and eve had lunch. Lunch was pricey but well worth it . We split the sandwhich because it was big enough to split and the cook gave us extra pasta salad at no charge ad plate Id would go back again and refer a friends more

Very relaxing 8/3/2011

I went with a friend of mine, the wait to get in was maybe 20 minutes (on a busy weekend) so not too bad. We had a facial and massage. The massage was amazing, both of us were very pleased. I was happy with my facial, my friend however was not, she said they didn't even use steam on her....isn't that the main part of a facial? We enjoyed a nice lunch and cocktails throughout the day. It was a little packed, but not overly crowded. I'm returning in a few days for a relaxing anniversary with my fiancee. It is pricy, but any spa is. My only recommendation to people is only do one service...with the facial and massage (scheduled at different times) we didn't have much time to enjoy the pools (which you need to pay to use). more

Annual Trip 7/17/2011

I visit your facility every year either on my birthday or one of my friends birthday. July 16th my mother, cousin, sister (all their first visit), and myself were checking in the customer service we received was not the greatest. The young lady did not have the most pleasant of attitude, and her answers to the questions we asked were as if we were bothering her. I know what I was doing, but the others had never been there. My mother requested a service thought she paid for it and the young lady didn't ring the service up. Once we paid and checked in the day was beautiful. Jo and Tammi (massage therapist) were the absolute best. more

Glen Ivy is like a local paradise getaway! 7/17/2011

I absolutely love going to Glen Ivy. I've only been to the Corona location, but since the first time I was there it was a wonderful experience. Aside from having about 12 pools, spas, jacuzzis, and mud club they also offer facials and massage services. Every person should consider going at least once in their lifetime. Its a great getaway place, you feel like you're on vacation for a day. I would suggest to go since the early morning and taka advantage of every minute you're there. Towels are provided, there are restaurants, theres a bar, plus lots more. I've visited about 5 times and every experience has been just as great! Karena Lopez more

  • The Scene
Steal away to this unpretentious spa to experience the waters that have soothed weary souls since the 1860s. These natural hot springs draw a mostly middle-aged suburban crowd, which means you needn't fret about how last season's swimsuit fits now. Rather than quiet and contemplative, it's more of an upbeat social scene--expect conversations to be struck up all the while as you soak, swim, float and lounge.

    The Services
Admission buys access to the 17 pools and spas on-site, which include the signature red-clay mud bath, a saltwater spa, hot mineral pools and two "champagne" pools--shallow tubs with carbonation-like bubbles floating up from the bottom. Glen Ivy's latest addition is the "Grotto"--an underground treatment area where guests slather on aloe-and-kelp body moisturizer and retreat into the hydrating chamber. Spa treatments and salon services require reservations, but general admission and the Grotto service do not.
