First off, we were blessed by the weather! Blue sky, upper 60's, no wind. And then, midweek on a Wednesday, very few people. Too bad for GI, but wonderful for us. We didn't have t...

Very Relaxing Girls Day Out 11/16/2011

I visited the Glen Ivy with 2 girlfriends and was greeted pleasantly by a very informative and friendly front desk staff. I had an awesome massage by Carlos who did a great job. I enjoyed the mineral baths, mud baths and the Grotto and enjoyed them all. The only suggestion I would give is that it was cooler and the property could use some heat lamps or fire pitts to make the temperature more comfortable since many of the ammenities are outside, I think it would have been a more enjoyable experience if the weather was a tad warmer. Other than that it was great!! more

Pretty good experience 10/31/2011

I thought the grounds were very nice. I had a 50 minute facial scheduled for 12. The facialist didn't call me back to the room till 12:15 then my facial latest only 45 minutes. I was also bombarded with products she thought I needed. The facial was a very average experience. more

Unpleasant experience at Grotto 10/27/2011

My friend and I were treated by members of staff at the Grotto badly on October 7th. While the moisturizer was being applied to our bodies, the blonde staff member called Shannon started giggling and speaking in a strange way to another member of staff called Miranda. Throughout the process, they continued to giggle and it felt like they were making fun of us. At first, I couldn't believe what was happening and I felt uncomfortable but I didn't say anything. However, when we came out of the chamber to get our things, Shannon immediately starting speaking in a strange way, using strange words and sounds to Miranda again. Both of them kept giggling. I couldn't believe how rude they were being. As it continued, we felt humiliated. I asked Shannon what she was saying. They both suddenly stopped giggling and looked shocked. Shannon replied that she was just talking to her friend. I asked why they had been laughing. She couldn't answer and looked guilty and embarrassed. What was so shocking was that they didn't care that they were being so openly rude to us. As you can imagine, this experience was horrible. I couldn't believe that this happened in such a famous tourist attraction. I complained a few days later by email and they apologized saying that those two girls were seasonal staff and are no longer working there. Well.., who knows?... more

Exceptional Spa But Getting Cost Prohibitive! 10/19/2011

I truly love Glen Ivy Spa in Corona but it is getting so exspensive....admission and spa treatments are increasing too much....To come there I have to plan way ahead and save plus apply for a loan!!(smile). It used to be reasonable to come and enjoy the experience there....Please give some incentives or reductions for seniors...we are on fixed income but love to come and enjoy Glen Ivy too!!! more

spray for nats and bees 10/18/2011

Glen Ivy is a beautiful area that is very relaxing. However, the last two visits have had me bothered by nats and bees. My husband had a nassage and never once was asked how the pressure was during a massage. Am I wrong or do therapists usually ask their client this. more

My Experience 10/11/2011

I was brought to Glen Ivy for a relaxing day at the spa before my wedding day and ended it very upset. When scheduling the appt we weren't given detailed information about what we were booking and they scheduled us the wrong appt costing us more money. When bringing it up to the manager (Brad) more as a suggestion to teach their staff not expecting anything in return he was quick to angry. He used the phrase "What do you want me to do about it?" He was very rude. As a manager I feel you should "LISTEN" to a clients complaint, apologize, and hope that they still had a good experience instead of making things only worse. He not once mentioned, I understand your frustration, I'm sorry your upset..etc. You bet we will be talking to someone else making a complaint about him. We will only be returning to the Brea one now. more

I would come here again 10/10/2011

I went for the first time, with my friend last weekend. I absoulely loved it. It was so relaxing. It was not crowded and we were able to schedule an appointment for a massage on the same day. I would come here again. more

1st time visitor 10/10/2011

The Day was lovely, even tough we had our treatments scheduled on a Sat. the check in was quite easy, and if you arive early like the Ivy suggests, you have plenty of time. My first treatment was with Renee for a massage, one of the best ever, very professional and caring. My second treatment was a facial w/Maya, she was OK, she never stopped talking and I felt like she was trying to Up Sell me on every application she put on my face, then she took me to another area, to show me products and tryed to sell me there as well. Lunch was good and fresh, lots of choices. I would return, but will request another facialist. more

Very friendly service 10/4/2011

It was my first time n I went w my mom and best friend. I paid $50 just to use facility and they had a special event so they where closing at 4pm. I expected a discount. Their food was over priced and super bland! I honestly enjoyed my experience at pala casino spa more

Last get away before my wedding 10/3/2011

I go to glen Ivy often we went there to have a girls outing the day before my wedding and I must say not only did they not have my gift cards ready and avail at will call but they where stating that I only purchased one which was incorrect they did fix it after a half hour of back and forth and I had to pull up my statement to show my charges..not to mention that all the front staff people are so rude and look miserable.I truly think that the negative attitudes really made our visit less enjoyable.I will say my message was excellent regardless of how poorly us ladies where treated. more

Massage therapist 10/2/2011

My massage was by Ann Marie and she was great. The best massage I've ever had. more

Admission fee is way too steep! 10/2/2011

Getting into the spa @ 0900 was crazy. They have been doing this for 20+ years and have not learned how to stream line the entrance process. Gimme a freaking break. And it is $39 per person just to get into the place. That is crazy. It should be $15-20 as that is all that it is worth. We booked visits to the Grotto (another $25 each). The massage was $99 and was not even a full hour massage, It was worth $60. So with lunch it is easily a $200+ day. Too crowded and pricey for us. We won't make it a repeat performance. more

Glen Ivy Review 9/30/2011

Glen Ivy is a gorgeous place where it's pleasant and relaxing. Compared to previous years, it just didn't seem as welcoming or efficient. I still enjoyed myself and would go back, but I'm hoping esp. that the way we are checked in would be greatly streamlined. more

Admission 9/25/2011

I love Glen Ivy! I only gave 4 stars because I think if your like me and u get services done, I think you should get free admission. Or at least give frequent flyers who get services free admission. Or give people who get services over a fair amount free admission. The prices are high enough. I don't see why there can't be a change in this policy. more

my 1st spa visit 9/24/2011

I had a not so good experience with my eucalyptus wrap treatment. Im not exactly sure how the order of the treatment works but, in the menu it said that the treatment includes body wrap & care for face, neck, scalp, feet. She put the oil on me but, did not do anything else. I was left alone for about 10-15mins during my 20minute treatment, then at the very last minute she did a face massage for maybe a couple mins. The facility was fine, everything else was fun, except the lazy massage lady! more

Not worth it! 9/20/2011

This was my third time to Glen Ivy and I found myself saying...its not worth it. My mom and I wanted to spend a relaxing day together so we both booked massages. My first issue is the entrance fee. I was charged $52 on a Sunday and was told I was given a discount! After our massages I asked mom how hers was and she said terrible. The guy was massaging the bottom of her toe! Really?! She said it lacked pressure and she's had better at the Claremont Club. I told her mine was terrible also even After I asked for More pressure. Then we had lunch at Cafe Sole. Although I had to clear our table, the food was great and reasonably priced. My other issue is with the bath house. There are very few amenities provided. My husband and I had a couples massage at The Spa at Laguna Cliffs. The prices are more expensive, but the amenities were Awesome!! They provided lemon/cucumber water, cold/hot teas, dried fruit, and nuts. The bath areas had ALL hair products, lotions, mouthwash, floss, and great showers! I understand Glen Ivy has a lot of guests visiting but you would think they could provide more for the amt they receive. My suggestion would be for them to NOT charge guest with booked srvcs and consider a separate bath house with more amenities for service paying guests. Unfortunately, I dont plan on returning to Glen Ivy unless they make some changes. more

  • The Scene
Steal away to this unpretentious spa to experience the waters that have soothed weary souls since the 1860s. These natural hot springs draw a mostly middle-aged suburban crowd, which means you needn't fret about how last season's swimsuit fits now. Rather than quiet and contemplative, it's more of an upbeat social scene--expect conversations to be struck up all the while as you soak, swim, float and lounge.

    The Services
Admission buys access to the 17 pools and spas on-site, which include the signature red-clay mud bath, a saltwater spa, hot mineral pools and two "champagne" pools--shallow tubs with carbonation-like bubbles floating up from the bottom. Glen Ivy's latest addition is the "Grotto"--an underground treatment area where guests slather on aloe-and-kelp body moisturizer and retreat into the hydrating chamber. Spa treatments and salon services require reservations, but general admission and the Grotto service do not.
