Fun workouts, motivating trainer 6/8/2009

I love my workouts at 501Fit. Phil is a great trainer who encourages, yet pushes you to do more than you think you can do. I especially like the comraderie of working out with other people. The workout space is unique and bright.\r \r My neck strain and back aches from sitting at a desk all day have been greatly reduced, if not eliminated. I highly recommend 501Fit for anyone. Pros: Fun, motivating classes, great space more

The only gym I've been motivated enough to keep coming back! 6/1/2009

I used to be a member of a much larger gym and I never used it! With 501FIT I enjoy the classes and love the person attention from a trainer! The people are great and a fun/ challenging workout keeps me coming back! I look forward to working out rather than dreading it! No other gym in town can compare! Pros: Individual attention from personal trainers more

Great Gym, Better Trainers!!! 4/20/2009

501 F1T is the greatest place on the face of the earth! I lay a sleep at night dreaming of this gym. But, in all seriousness this gym has everything you could ask for; great location, equipment, classes, and staff. If you are new to the city or just want to try a new gym I would definitely recommend 501, hope to see you there:) Pros: location, members are great, very nice facility Cons: parking more

501 F1T offers just about anyone on a fitness journey what they are looking for. Experienced staff are always on hand to help guide you.The classes utilizing the ingenious GWerx system are fun and accessible to all. You will in no time eagerly set and surpass personal goals. The individual machines and free weight set ups are unsurpassed in town. Then there is the view of the skyline from the state of the art cardio area. Wow! Thank goodness for the sparkling clean locker room/shower set up. You will need them after a hard work out! Pros: First rate facility, great members and experienced staff. Cons: You need to learn the tricks with parking, it is the city! more

Excellent Strength Training Alternative 3/24/2009

I grew up running and doing various endurance sports (cycling, triathlon, skiing), but I've never really strength trained before. The primarily reason being because I didn't enjoy the weight lifting scene.\r \r 501Fit, and it's group classes are a fantastic departure from the norm and totally effective, especially for runners and skiers. Not only are you strength training, but you're getting a cardio workout at the same time. I can't say enough good/positive things about this gym and the people that run it... Pros: Trainers, Class Sizes, Gym Upkeep more

You might be fit but are you 501 Fit? 3/23/2009

501 Fit has provided me with the tools and motivation to whip myself in great shape. I was fit before but now I'm 501 Fit. Yes, there is a huge difference. I really enjoy the strength training classes combined with some extra credit cardio. They provide good variety in their classes so it's always interesting and fun. Pros: Location, Staff, and Classes Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

501 FIT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE DIRECTION AND OUTLOOK!! 3/11/2009

I am almost 55 years old and have regained an energy level that I have not had in ten or twelve years. Since last June, I have lost nearly 20 pounds and put on lean muscle tone, like I have never had. I have been a runner and workout enthusiast for most of my adult life, but the training at 501 Fit has breathed new and better life into my body, which I thought was only on a downhill slide, because of my age. \r When I started, I did not believe that group training could be as inspiring, demanding and fun. I am working out smarter and safer than I ever have!! \r Stop by and check out my triceps!! Never had them (ever!), But wow!! Cannot wait to see what I can do in the next few months!!\r \r Jack Moreland Pros: Group strength & cardio training as good as one on one!! Cons: None!! more

Among fitness clubs, one of the best! 11/13/2008

I have been a member of a much larger, nationally-known fitness center for over 20 years and I continue to work out there, it being conveniently-located so close to home. Still, I get up at 4:45 A.M. three times a week and drive 30-45 minutes to attend ""class"" at 501FIT. Reason: that's where I get results. The facility is clean and well-organized; the equipment well-maintained; and the sessions -- while energizing, motivating, AND challenging -- are just plain FUN and friendly! Indeed, my classmates spur me on. Most of all, I appreciate the staff's personal attention. It allows me to exercise within my own limits, while focussing on correct posture and isolating the muscles I want to work and develop. It's at 501FIT that I feel sufficiently-challenged, yet protected against injuring myself, in my quest for personal health and fitness! Pros: Results-Oriented, Friendly, and Attentive to Personal Objectives and Limitations Cons: No Parking Lot more

Makes Working Out Fun 10/30/2008

501F1T's strength training classes are such a fun, unique way to work out. It's never the same thing twice which keeps it interesting and challenging. I could never get such a great workout on my own - I've tried and it's just too easy to slack off or get bored. The group setting here is perfect - small enough to get personal attention from the trainer yet big enough to make it fun and social. If you're looking to get in shape and want something different, fun and effective - check out 501F1T. more

A smarter way to work out 10/30/2008

Hands down the best fitness program I have found out there. You get all the benefits of a personal trainer without the price tag and in a much more enjoyable atmosphere. These group strength classes allow you to not ""suffer"" alone as well as motivate you to push yourself harder. It's a very unique program. I call it ""cardio weights"" because you are essentially using free weights and burning calories at the same time. I think anyone who takes one class will know that this is the way to workout. Pros: Fitness program itself Cons: Metered parking isn't ideal but location is great! more

Innovative and effective form of strength training 1/6/2008

Group strength training is a way to lift weights with trainer supervision and the support of fellow trainees. The classes are a way to meet new people and feel committed to a fitness program that works! Pros: strength training classes included in membership fees more
