Fast Water Heater Company

We wanted a tankless water heater with minimal wait time for hot water, a long warrenty, and low maintenance. Fast Water Heater recommended and installed an Eternal Hbrid with a whole house circulating pump that met these requirements, and at a competitive price. The install team did an excellent job, including adding an expansion tank at no extra cost when they determined we had a closed system, explaining the functions of our new system, and leaving our premises neat and clean. The only issue we had was that were 2 hours late to the estimate appointment (but on time for the install appointment). Overall, I was very pleased and am happy to recommend them. more

Good: I liked how professional Dennis was and felt confident with him doing the job. He quickly assessed the job, told me what it would cost to upgrade everything to code as the heater was 15 years old.. Bad: I didn't like the sticker shock as I was quoted $909 over the phone and was told that it may differ because of upgrades needed to be done so that it was all up to code. Which I totally understand but, the difference was $800 dollars - really wasn't prepared for that. I could have changed my mind and did some more and I could have saved money I know but this is what they do - and I wanted it done right.. Improvements: I feel they should be a bit more realistic with the "difference" in price when they give you the quote over the phone. Or maybe they should have someone come out first to give you a quote before you say yes to the installation.. Other: Dennis was awesome and represents the company very well.. more

Dennis arrived at my house and quickly assessed the area where the old water heater was. He explained what it would take to get things up to code. He answered all my questioned clearly and in depth. He was pleasant to deal with, and left the area so clean I couldn't tell he had been there. This was a tight area to work in and he worked hard for several hours and came up with some creative solutions to get it all to work. And he was in and out of my house in the pouring rain. Good: As their name says, they were FAST in responding to our water heater needs. Do you live on an island like we do? No problem. They were there the day after I called. Good prices too!. Other: We contacted several other water heater businesses. Some never even called back. Replaced a garbage disposal unit. Service aquired via Home Depot. Service provided was excellent. Came to the house in prescribed time frame. Completed the job in a short period of time. Installer was curtious, explained the job, and did the job without making a mess. Good experience for a reasonable price. more

I had my water heater changed out today. I purchased it at Sears and FAST installed it. The installation was professional and proper according to code. The technician was on time, knowledgeable, patient, and professional. And he didn't break any of my stuff. We started at Home Depot for help. After selecting a water heater for our home (prices were reasonable and the brand they carried for our needs (GE) was rated fairly well by consumers) the HD plumbing specialiast suggested I call the 1-800-HOME DEPOT number to inquire about installation. He said the contractor is local and could be out same day or next. My call was handled professionally and many questions were traded in order to get a ballpark for install. I was skeptical about the quote by phone so I opted for the free (no obligation) on-site estimate (they brought along the tank in case I approved the quote). The tech was on time (a little early - he called in advance to let me know), friendly, and professional. He pointed out places where he needed to do add'l work in order to meet current code and itemized out the pricing. He also gave alternatives to save money, which was appreciated (i.e. do-it-yourself earthquake straps). The price was slightly higher than we had initially expected, however, the peace of mind provided by the one-year labor warranty was enough to seal the deal. The tank was installed in two hours, the area left cleaner than when the technician arrived, and a detailed explanation of the tasks completed was provided. From start to finish (less than 24 hours) we were completely satisfied with both Home Depot and Fast Water Heater! more

Good: I liked the friendliness of the phone operators, and the fact that they could look up my previous purchase 10 years ago and find it! And the speed and the clarity of the explanation which Rich, the plumber, offered me, when I was comng unglued about needing to have the heater put in according to the new city codes. He explained everything, he was finished before his own deadline. He was polite, cleaned up, and helped me gt a little discount one item. That's service!. Bad: The fact I needed to get another water heater, but that's reality.. Improvements: I really can't think of any.
