I had several companies that I called out of the yellow pages come out and got a different answer each time. We decided to buy a new one because we didn't have a sense any of them knew what they were talking about but wanted to sell us something. We went to Home Depot and picked one out and they sent Fast Water Heater to our home that afternoon. Jason was great and told us he felt it was a part and not the entire water heater. Unfortunately that didn't turn out to be true but when he returned they cedited the money we had already spent towards the new heater. He made every effort to see that we got it fixed properly and wasn't just interested in selling us something new. I would highly recommend Fast Water Heater. more

When I contacted Fast Water Heater Company, my call was answered promptly and courteously by José. I never felt rushed as José patiently answered my questions and I easily set up an appointment for an onsite estimate (I was even contacted after the onsite estimate was completed to see if I had any questions or comments). One of the aspects that I truly appreciated was that the person that came out to give the estimate was also the technician that would perform the work. Dennis explained to me in detail his recommendations on how the job should be completed including details on coding, gas output limitations and cost control. All of this information helped me feel informed and educated to make a decision. At the end of the estimate Dennis informed me of what dates he was available to perform the work. He completely understood when I said I wasn’t ready to make a decision and he encouraged me to contact the main office when I wanted to move forward with the work. There was never any pressure to commit right away. While I was very impressed with my experience, I still wanted to get multiple estimates. Doing so only strengthened my confidence in Fast Water Heater Company. Not only was the price that was quoted from the competitor substantially more, but they also failed to verify some basic items or offer explanations for the work proposed. The main focus of the competitor was to complete the estimate and have me commit to the work. At this point my choice was easy and I contacted Fast Water Heater Company to schedule the project. The work itself was on time and of high quality. After the install Dennis explained what he had done along with details of the system including settings and maintenance. The product itself works great and I am very pleased with my decision to use Fast Water Heater Company. My gas water heater was leaking from drain pipe and it was water all over inside and outside garage in freezing temperature. I called Fast Water Company and the serviceman came out on the very same day and replaced the system with excellent workmanship and a good price. Good: Received a phone call while they were on the way to house providing their arrival time. Didn't have to sit and guess when they might show up. Showed up when they said they would, and once the site was examined, took the time to explain what should be done and also provided other options I could consider (and the related price to provide), BUT let me choose wheich I wanted allowing me to stay in budget. Technician was polite, professional and did his job timely.. Other: I would have no problem recommending them to my freinds.. more

It seems Fast WH Co. has a habit of telling people a very low price on the phone, then adding on a bunch of extra, unnecessary charges when they get to the home. The guy who came and gave me an estimate looked in his Home Depot book and told me we were in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning from inferior venting. He wanted to change the 2-foot vent to the tune of an extra $150. Everyone else who came out said that was total b.s. and while they didn't want to say anything bad about Fast, they let me know they had heard complaints about them. Apparently, they do fine work, but have a habit of overcharging. Also, their warranty on the estimate/work order was very iffy. Just be very careful and make sure you get a lot of estimates, check w/ the BBB and read the fine print before going with these guys. I finally went with Washington Water Heaters after doing that, and am extremely satisfied. It seems like for every 10 or so dishonest companies in this arena, there's 1-2 honest company/installer. more

Good: None. Bad: Referred by Home Depot for a water heater installation. Home Depot estimates about $309. After talking with Fast Water Heater Company’s representative over the phone, he asked for $359 for the full installation with installing free earthquake strips. The representative talked us out of buying from Home Depot since he thought we might order a wrong water heater. He will send a inspector to the house and offer a free estimation. The installation man came to the door and said he has a right water tank ready i. Improvements: Be a honest and decent business. It is also not moral to undercut the Home Depot that referred you a bushiness. Other: I would avoid to work with this company. more
