A great place! 11/3/2012

We have been taking our two dogs to Elkhound for boarding and for grooming for just over a year now. I have always found them to be professional, courteous and my dogs are always well cared for. We love them!! more

Great place for your pets! 11/2/2012

I have taken my dogs (one very large and one very small) to Elkhound Ranch for a number of years. They get lots of love, attention and exercise and I never have to worry about them. I have never had a bad experience. more

Highly recommend! 10/26/2012

We first discovered Elkhound Ranch Kennels through our neighbor who used them to board their dog. When we got dogs, we decided to try them out ourselves. We have really enjoyed their courtesy and willingness to work with us so that we can come early for pick-up or late. They do a really good job making sure our dogs are okay. They let us know if they are getting upset or sick. This is a family-owned business and they really care about what they do, and it shows. They do a great job of caring for your animals as if they were their own. more

Where to begin...They're just amazing to work with. Elkhound Ranch Kennels really care about our dog and about all the animals there. They give them just the best possible care they can. They're easy to work with, very flexible, able to meet our needs, and I know my dog is going to be well taken care of when I drop her off there. You never have to worry about problems or troubles, and they love her just as I do. more

The staff are friendly and professional 8/8/2011

While my home was being remodeled I thought it wold be perfect time tot put my Doberman in a training program. Some commands he already had down pat, others he would do only when it suited him. He would take me for a walk not vice versa. Now I can say he is so well behaved and obey all basic commands when told. I feel comfortable walking him anywhere without worrying about distractions. Best of all I will now be able to take him to doggie daycare once a week to socialize with other dogs. The staff are friendly and professional. you could tell they really give your pet lots of attention. They worked with me on a flexable schedule at the last minute which was a great help to me and I appreciated it very much. I would recommend Elkhound for training, boarding, or just a place to take your dog for the day if you need to. more

I felt it went well 7/25/2011

They cared for our cat and dog over a period of 9 days. Including walking the dog and allowing her time out in a yard. I felt it went well. Both cat and dog appeared healthy and well cared for. The dog had been bathed before coming home, too, which was a plus for worn-out travelers who had a lot of other things to do. more

They cared 7/22/2011

When we called about our agining Greyhound, who could not be boarded by our regular vet any longer, the Elkhound staff person assured me of everything they would do for an elderly dog to make his visit as nice as possible. I really appreciated the time she took to explain everything to me. As it turned out, our dog did not live long enough to be boarded there again, but knowing that they cared enough to put my mind at ease is worth a great deal. more

Love what they do 7/20/2011

Elkhound is the best - Our dogs seem happy to go inside and facily is clean and spacious. Such a great outside yard and wonderful service. We always see dogs outside playing, which is certainly a nicer image to take on vacation than that of our dogs in cages. What really keeps us coming back is the terrific attitude of everyone there. You can tell they love what they do and they take care of your pets as if they were their own. And it doesn't cost more than our standard vet boarding rates! more

Great trainer 7/18/2011

Trained my 5 month old puppy. My puppy stayed at the kennel for two weeks for obedience training and house training. My little dog came back a new puppy. He is obedient, he has not had an accident in the house since returning home. I used another trainer that came to my house that had a different approach to dog training, after spending over 500.00, my dog was still totally out-of-control. The only place to get results is Elkhound Kennel. This is the second dog I have sent there and have received great results. David is a great trainer. more

Wilbur (my Great Dane) always has such a great time playing with the other dogs. Now, that he is 6 years old his time at Elkhound makes him sleep for at least 2 days. Thanks for the great service. more
