i luv el guapo! i go all the time for football & whatever sports that i know hot guyz are going to be there. I ask for Sara the server every time, she always takes great care of us & she's really fun too. They have beer pong all the time & i always meet new great people. I've been when it's not so busy & really packed-usually consistent! The kitchen can take a while sometimes but it's usually when they're really busy so that's totally understandable. Best place to let loose, act a fool, & have a blast w no judgment. I recommend giving it a chance or another chance! more

I just stumbled upon this place yestarday when i was looking for a new spot to watch the eagles, and it was great!!! I havent been impressed with most sports bars in LA, but EL GUAPO has everything!!! Huge eagles crowd , good food and cheap drinks... what more can u ask for!!!! This is a great place to watch any sporting event. I was there to watch some football with my buddies, and was really shaocked at how many TV;s there were. The bartenders were cool and the cocktail waitresses were pretty cute too... They do all the UFC stuff too...and there's plenty of street parking and even vallet. Pros: Great drinks- bartenders are really cool. Cons: There's sometimes too many people there. more

I went last weekend and had so much fun! They have a huge outdoor patio where you can watch all the games on big flatscreens. The food was really good, had great specials. The staff was really friendly too. Oh, and you can smoke on the patio and play beer pong! Pros: great drinks, cheap prices, nice staff more

There are a ton of tv's in this place! There is not a bad seat in the house--this place is huge, with the main restaurant on one side, a GREAT outdoor seating area in the middle (yeah smokers that's what I'm talking about!), and yet another bar area on the other side. You are sure to find other fans of your team, even if you come solo like I did. Lots of cool people! Even the bartenders and servers are all cool--I can't even get mad when my boyfriend stares at all of the hotties that work there--and that's saying a lot! Guapo is a great place to spend a fall Saturday watching football. Staff is really nice, food is good, gets a cool Melrose crowd. Pros: great patio for football, goodlooking staff, chicken wings Cons: gets really, really busy for fight nights and big games more

the vibe at el guapo is really cool, they have a patio but my favorite is the deck overlooking melrose. I went there with a group of friends and we hung out there for a while watching football, they have tons of tvs. The waitress was super sweet and they are all really pretty!!! P.S. Ladies i saw a lot of cute guys there!!! A great place to go with friends!!! Plus they have good deals on food/drinks different days of the week! We spent another great night at El Guapo -- there are so many TV's and they're everywhere! We loved the enchiladas and sliders and they really make delicious drinks. It was a perfect night to sit on the patio and our server took very good care of us. Can't wait to go back this weekend! Pros: TV's, awesome drinks, huge patio more

Anywhere that actually has pitchers of beer and beer pong tables-count me in!! This is a great place to spend a Saturday/ Sunday afternoon with friends. My friends and I all went last Saturday to hang out, and we had a blast! We ended up playing beer pong all afternoon:). I hear that the happy hour and nights are awesome too, so we already have plans to go back. Our server was great too-super friendly and quick with the replacement pitchers! I was visiting from New York City when a friend took me to El Guapo. I loved watching all the football games outside on their MANY TV's. They had every game playing somewhere and the staff was very accomodating when helping me find a table where my team was playing. The food was good and inexpensive I would definitely recommend the nachos. Pros: outdoor patio, lots of TV's, cheap food Cons: smoking allowed on patio more

This place is great!! Not only is "Taco Tuesday" also now "Taco Thursday", but the Patron Cacillac margaritas are amazing!!! ( and by that I mean strong!) Also,not only is this place is beer pong central ( for all you fanatics out there!) but now they are having a huge halloween party on the 31st!! 3 guesses where you'll find me !!!! Ate here last night for Taco Tuesday! Tacos for a buck! I'm there!! This place has like a billion TVs. There's something on all the time for every sports fan. Ate inside because of the rain, but the outside patio seems like you might get some sun while sipping on a margarita. I will definitely be back for another Taco Tuesday, and soon! Oh, btw, I felt sorry for our server. If felt like every time he came to check in on us, we ordered more and more tacos. The table and The flat screen tvs set up are excellent.The Food, they do not have much on the menu but the food taste very delicious. For example, the enchilada is a good plate to eat and don't forget the chicken strips. The waitress service is good. However, I don't like the idea of drinking a margarita from a plastic glass, I prefer plastic cups. This plastic glass thing is not for me. Also, the tables are too loose and if you touch a table by accident you can drop any drink that is on the table. Please Mr. Manager, Work on these issues and when you have your assistants talking to your employees telling to be professional. Pros: Location, food specials and waitress service. We had good and friendly service from the wait staff during the fight . . . HOWEVER . . . . After UFC 94, they staged a mock fight for a reality show(if that actually makes sense). We were told to move away from where we were standing or we could get hurt. No more the two seconds later, the sissy fight started and ketchup was spilled completely over two of my friends. We are talking covered in it. I'm assuming there was no permit for the 5 video cameras that were being used. We ask to talk to the manager. He could care less about our concerns. "What do you expect me to do about it? Stop wasting my time and get the f- out of my face?" He proceeded to shove/nearly assaulting my inquiring friend and continued to use a lot of profanity for no reason. The owners should know that this guy (with the panty liner for a hat) is a huge liability for the establishment. So much as if they do not hand over a resignation letter to him, this place could stripped of it's alcohol license in due time. I see a legal matter in the near future if this manager continues to be employed here. I know this is not the first time he's been written up about either. I have heard numerous complaints from other people including his wait staff. I have watched the last 6 fights in a row here but can't return to your establishment. Whenever I want top notch steak quesadillas and a strong margarita, El Guapo is a the first place that comes to mind. They always have games on and the place gets crazy packed during football and UFC fights. The people that come are cool - not the typical stuck up vibe that the superficial bars in Hollywood usually get. You can choose to sit inside or at the big patio they have outside (don't worry about it if it's cold out - they have heat lamps!). If you come on a weekend night you can always pick your own songs on the digital jukebox and create your own party. Nothing beats that! Also, they are having a New Year's Eve event and guest list is only $49.95! Just try finding it that cheap at any other bar in Hollywood! Pros: quesadillas, margaritas, jukebox! Cons: needs more cute male waitstaff! more

Found myself feeling peckish down on Melrose so I stopped in to El Guapo for a quick bite and a beer. It was early (3ish) had the fish tacos they were delicious as a matter of fact I ordered a second helping. The prices were fair for both drinks and eats, and my bartender was very sweet. (Even when she was busy!) The crowd was cool with many pretty ladies and the music was a cool mix of current and older hits. I ended up staying until nearly closing time. I have been there before for football and fightnights in the past and I like the updates they have made, from the music to the decor. I usually prefer to imbibe at my own pace but when I go with my boys beer pong can be a alot of fun. For a chill atmosphere where you don't have to break the bank for a goodtime El guapo is the place for me. Pros: fair priced eats and drinks Cons: I didn't see anyone in orange jumpsuits. more

The food was okay, for a sportsbar it was well above average. If you want high end food I wouldnt expect it at a sports bar unless your from Idaho or Victorville. They have all the nfl games on sundays. Huge patio, staff looks pretty good. Its a real sportsbar they have alot of big plsma TVs everywhere. I was there for football on a sunday and ufc on a saturday and it was packed both times. Our servers looks were much better than her skills. Beer was cold. Its on par with happyendings + a patio.
