Overall enjoyed this place. Very friendly and thorough employees. Debtist was extremely helpful anf answered any questions i had. Just a little pricier than prior dentists. more

Just found a great dentist office 6/8/2011

After being absent from a dentist for 8-9 years, I went into Dr. Zak in Simi Valley. They were kind, professional and the dental care received was great. I was very pleased with how kind everyone was. I'll be sending my husband and daughter there. And, they take all insurance, which is great. Thanks! more

Work in progress 6/7/2011

Well when I came to Dr. Zak's it was because I had a broken tooth I wanted fixed. I never expected such a long list of work to do but everyone has been terrific in working out plans with me so that I can get the dental work needed. I will say that I didn't expect a tooth cleaning to hurt quite so much as it did. Dr. Dee called it a tooth irrigation. They should warn people ahead of time! My teeth ached for three days afterward. I do want to apologize to Dr. Dee as I made too much noise during the treatment.I was a real baby but the gum surrounding the tooth she was fitting for a temporary crown was very painful and I kept flinching when it was touched. It is odd how that works. I didn't feel pain when she was working on the tooth itself but the gum really hurt! You would think the gum would be numb also. I will say though, that now that the tooth irrigation is over and done with my teeth feel better than they have in a while and I didn't even realize I had a problem! So thank you all very much. more

I am pregnant and they only wanted to do what was needed to make sure there are no problems for the baby. They figured out what was causing my pain and gave me options to get the problem solved. Thank you more

6 month checkup xrays and cleaning 6/2/2011

I was very satisfied with My visit. I was seen in a timely matter. The needed work to be done was explained along with the cost.I was highly satisfied with My dental cleaning.The dental hygienist went over proper cleaning/ flossing techniques that We sometimes forget. more

Dr. Zak was the first doctor- DDS or MD- that I saw after an accident to discover that I had a fractured jaw. Dr. Zak referred me to the excellent OS who repaired my jaw. Thank you so Dr. Zak! Dr. Chang did a great job as well, and the front office staff are very nice and helpful. They go out of their way to help you with insurance issues. I also appreciated that the staff gives you choices, and allow you to decide how you want to proceed with your treatment instead pressuring you into getting the treatment they recommend. more

Fantastic with Children! 5/18/2011

My daughter is almost seven and she had one cavity filled and two teeth extracted while using Nitros. Everyone made sure she was comfortable and doing well the entire time. They explained each step to her in a way that kept her calm, cool and collected. I could not ask for more from a Dental Office!!!! more

Dr. Sousa was very gentle during my three root canals. He called me on Sunday to see how I was doing which was very sweet. Unfortunately I missed his call so please thank him for me. Surprises, surprises 5/13/2011

Vinh does a great job with the perio maintenance - explains everything, makes sure patient is comfortable. However .... Was not seen until 1/2 hour after my scheduled appointment time. Left sitting in waiting area forced to hear the damn TV noise. Was called to the reception window for copayment. There must be some way to notify patients ahead of appointment day that a copayment will be required and the amount. I HATE this kind of surprise. more
