Longer than expected to install more

I needed to have two panels of an existing garage door fixed and they provided excellent customer service. From the sales coming out to see what was needed to the installer who replaced the door. Pricing was excellent too!! Hopefully I will not need them again soon BUT if I do I will not hesitate to call or recommend to others!! We called yesterday as our less than a month old garage door was stuck in the open position and we couldn't get it down even after trying the manual override. I spoke to someone who was very nice but informed me there was nothing she could do to help me. Techs only work 7am - 4pm and I would just have to wait until the next day to get something scheduled. I explained that we had tools and building materials in the garage and couldn't keep it open over night. She just appologized and said there was nothing she could do. Seriously? My husband and I work 7am-3:30pm and would never make it home in time. He can't take off early since he's a teacher. Eventually, my Dad had to leave work early and drive an hour to take part of the garage door opener apart. One of the services we offer is an on call service that fields all after hours calls. We are working with them to assure our existing customers (Residential and Commercial) get preferred treatment. Our standard after hours service did not include residential service. We are now adding limited residential service on a preferred/existing customer basis only for customers that have security issues and can't wait until our standard operation hours which is 7 am to 4pm. more

The info initially recieved on door slwction was great and sales staff very information. He acted quickly and responsibly. I deal with alot of contractors that do not follow through, it was great. The doors where installed as scheduled and with the utmost quality. We are very happy and will recommend Cressy. more

My teenage daughter's first response on seeing the new garage door: "Wow. We need someone to build a new garage around that door!" Our original 1930's garage door was installed in a very tight spot. We had several installers look at it and refuse to take the job (including the This Old House scouting crew looking for jobs for their TV show!). Cressy Door just said, "No Problem!" We already had a new garage door opener still in the box, and Cressy said they could use it when other installers had said it wouldn't work in our application. Our new door was installed quickly by a very polite installer. Cressy also offered a better choice of doors (and it didn't cost more either), so my garage looks different from all the other garages in Seattle. It looks great and functions perfectly. I couldn't be happier. more

Cressy Door Company has done quite a few projects for us over the years. We are a general contractor and do a lot of privately negotiated commercial construction. The work that Cressy Door has done for us has always turned out well. They show up when they say they will and, when we have a set schedule for a specific project, they are always reliable. For example, on one project, we were cutting some tilt-up panels in an existing business and, because we were opening up the building, we needed Cressy Door to be there within the hour to secure the building once when we dropped the panels. Not only are they timely but they do not give us surprise change orders, as some subcontractors and contractors tend to do. Although I waited for a relatively long time between inspection and installation, but the job is well done. Inspection is quick, and helpful. Installation is a neat job. My garage is even more clean than it was before. Our company had a corporate contract set up with Cressy Door Company before I got here and I have maintained it. Over the years, we have developed a good relationship with both their technicians and staff. They are very professional and quick in responding to me. Cressy Door maintains a total of about 140 doors for our buildings, including overhead doors and automatic gate operators. We usually have the same technician, who has a good history of our building equipment and a good response when it comes to emergency repairs. I have been very happy with Cressy Door and will continue to use them. more
