Cressy was brought in by our GC to install a new chimney cap and chase enhancer on our rebuilt chimney which had developed a leak. While the work did eventually get completed, I was not pleased with the process:
-Salesperson arrived unannounced to take measurements. Wouldn't answer any questions at all and kinda blew me off.
-Lack of communication between Cressy and the GC led to misunderstanding over whether or not paint would be required on the enhancer. I didn't feel like I was getting a straight answer from Cressy.
-No communication as to when the crew would arrive to do the work.
-When the crew arrived, they found that the cap had been made to the wrong spec and would not fit. They were unable to say when they might be back with a new cap.
-I sent mail to the Salesperson expressing my dissatisfaction. He said nothing in the way of apology, but promised to get back to me with a schedule the next morning.
-No one ever got back to me
-One week later, having heard nothing, I was composing a mail to the company intending to cancel the contract and ask for my deposit back. The crew arrived unannounced just before I hit send and installed the cap.
-I'm left with a bad feeling about these guys. Wouldn't ever recommend, and would steer anyone away from them based on my experience.
