Waited for 1 hr and 40 minutes before being seen.

Cleaning 9/7/2011

I arrived a few minutes early and was taken in immediately. The cleaning was very thorough and the hygienist friendly and professional. I do wonder why the estimated proposal she gave me before starting the cleaning included a $99 charge for an electric toothbrush. I declined the toothbrush. I guess they are required to do that in order to make a sale but I really didn't think giving me an estimate of work with that included was necessary. However, the overall experience was very good. more

Appointment for semi-annual cleaning and gum/teeth evaluation. 9/3/2011

My appointment was for cleaning and overall gum/teeth evaluation and I appreciate very much suggestions for additional treatment I may desire but intuitively I feel as though Coast Dental has overall product sales in front of the health care needs. Altough unable to site specifics I feel pressured to purchase these addtional treatments and products. It kind of makes me think that Coast Dental would sell anything to increase their revenues; how about used cars. more

I had to wait 45 minutes just to get in for my appointment. Seems wait time is too much and this has happened more than once. Otherwise everyone is very nice. more

It was OK 8/29/2011

I gave my visit three stars since it started off as a bad experience, but then ended up better. The lady at the front desk needed some more help since she was taking on too much by herself. Which then in turn, ended up causing my appointment wait to be over an hour and a half before I could get back to be seen. I was never told that my appointment was just going to be a quick visit with the dentist giving me a plan. So I felt like my appointment was a waste since I had to wait that long to get back there for maybe 15 minutes. Once all of this went on, the dentist assistant apologized the whole time as well as the dentist for my wait. They were very professional and helped to answer any of my questions. I am still waiting for the apology from the lady at the front desk. more

From working around our schedule to explaining every part of the process to great detail I could not ask for better service. The staff and dentist are sooooo good at what they do they must have been hand picked as the best person for the job. Going to the dentist is almost fun!! more

Overbooked 8/16/2011

My initial visit took nearly 5 hours, the waiting to be seen and lapses between an attendant were too long in a very cold office. The receptionist provided more insight into treatment prescribed than the staff and saved the day. more

Very good with when you actually get seen. A little slow in checking out , kind of hang around waiting too long to check out,and trying to get hold of you during the day on the phone is horrible and you never get a return call. I would refer people though simply because the actual dentist and hygienist are great. more

Excellent Motivational Hygenist & Professional Care 6/24/2011

I would recommend Coast Dental to any of my friends, they are a class dental office. They start on time, don't rush your appointment and offer suggestions for better dental care. My hygenist Marie was excellent and patient as I am a fearful client. She was very caring and gentle, thanks for a great appointment. more

First visit - First root canal 6/16/2011

Dr. Woods, who will be leaving the practice to start her endodontic residency did my root canal. Her assistant was very accommodating and kind and brought me a blanket as it was cold in the office. Although I was not told that I had been "fit in" around other clients and thus spent much longer than was tolerable with my mouth gaping open, it was a great experience. I told Dr. Woods that I was more comfortable knowing what was going on and she let me know nearly ever step of the way. The practice gets 3 stars, but Dr. Woods and her staff get 4.5! more

...for the administrative area of the practice. The hygienist was great; one of the best I had. They really should do something about the admin part because it often seems disorganized. I frequently have to wait a long time (1/2 hour of more)before I'm seen for one reason or another. This last time was an issue with my insurance. A really buttoned up office would take care of such things BEFORE the patient arrives. My time is valuable too. If it weren't for the hygienist, I would look for another place. But one hates to start elsewhere from scratch so I put up with the place...for now. more

NOT Good service 6/10/2011

Although Dr. Woods is excellent and I highly recommend her the front office/insurance staff is HORRIBLE. One person states one thing and when you call back someone else changes the story. I have been fighting for six months to get them to send in proper documentation to my two insurance companies (they are in network). According to my insurance company I should have only paid one amount but they are billing me for a much higher amount. They state that I signed paper work approving upgraded services, but can't produce it. I hate to lose Dr. Woods, but I will not be played by money hungry corporations. more

Just thought I would take the time to compliment you staff. Maria was awesome in dealing with my upsetment over never being able to get a "healthy cleaning" from insurance company. I find that Dental insurance can be a real ripoff and I am sorry to have caused disruption to your staff. Thanks more

Review 5/19/2011

I was very disappointed with the wait time. The appointment I had scheduled ran over 1 hour and I had to reschedule for the following week. Then on the 2nd visit the wait time to be actually seen was almost 1 hour. I don't have that kind of time to wait so I am going elsewhere. VERY RUDE STAFF! 5/18/2011

So i recently went in for a cleaning and extraction where the tooth is broken off at the gum line i got there 15 min before my appt. soon three other patients arrived they were all seen before me. One of them was a teenage girl that was supposed to see the doctor as i was. She went back and about 5 min leater left saying the doctor wasnt there. I heard the receptionist and other employees wispering that the doctor was not coming in.Another half an hour later..(an hour after my appt) i was told the doctor had called in sick and that i could call back and schedule another appt. When i got angry i was told they would "try" to fity me in but i would have to wait for a while ( i had already waited an hour) and possible wouldnt get scene. The receptionist was rude to me and the people she waS on the phone with. I t was also very obvious that her and the other employees were bad mouthing a patient that had had a problem with her insurance. Over all i think the place was rude and very unproffesional i will NEVER return and will discourage weveryone i know from going to this office more
