We've used Canine Courtyard twice in the past month for overnight boarding and were very pleased with the facilities and the staff. We also had one of our dogs groomed and they did a wonderful job. It is just kennels, but they do take them out and let them play with other dogs while they are there.\r \r We will use them every time we need boarding! more

I have been taking my dog here for over 6 years. Initially I was a little bit hesitant because it wasn't as "fancy" looking as the other kennel I used...but I have been returning for 6 years for a reason!! The employees all have a real love of dogs and while many of them are young (with all that goes with that) I have never worried about my dog in the least. She is excited to go there and when I come to pick her up she is in great spirits and very well exercised!! She sleeps for hours when she comes home! With everyones budgets being stretched to the limit these days it is nice to have an affordable kennel...one that doesn't charge you extra for playtime and for administering any meds...you can almost pay the price of a hotel room when you start adding on all the little "extras" at other boarding facilities....and you do NOT get anything over an above what you get at Canine Courtyard, except maybe a newer building! I don't know what these people are complaining about. I love this place. I actually looked at the kennels and the full facility before I left my two dogs there and there was a young man cleaning the kennels when I toured. They are just like the kennels used at city pounds and kennels. They do have concrete floors and owners are told that beds and blankets from home are welcome to keep your pets comfortable. I had both my girls bathed and shaved while they were there and the groomer was very nice. I have a nervous beagle and she seemed very comfortable when I picked her up. I also have a pit mix and I have had trouble with other places refusing to even bathe her. I would also like to point out that since the last time I was there the groomer has been listed as the best groomer in Denton county. I have recommended this place to friends and family. I would do it again. more

Whoever wrote that review about the groomer being dirty and ill mannered that is so not true she is great with the dogs and a very good groomer you people are just trying to get something for free. I just don't understand why you people complain about stuff that doesn't matter. The lady complaining about the collar that's such crap don't you have anything else to do oh my gosh your husband was driving by its not like he went out of his way you are not the only costomer that they have its not like they meant for that to happen get over yourself more

Put them in on Friday Aug.6th. They came in with their collars, tags leashes and food. Came to pick them up on Monday Aug. 9th and I forgot to bring their leashes so they offered to bring them out and I said yes, thank you. Got out to the van and the dogs were put in and my granddaughter said Lillie did not have her collar on. The leashes they used just slipped over their head. We looked the van over and it was not there so clearly it would have been lost either in the building or on the way to the van. The lady said maybe we left the coller at home. HELLO, we brought them in with the collars, tags and leashes. They took our leashes off and put theirs on. They are not taking the responsibility for losing the collar and tags. DO NOT use this kennel. We had our baby groomed there and briefly met with the Groomer; thank God it was brief. She was unclean and seemed to be ill-mannered. They are cheap for a reason. The kennels are in complete misalignment and many are rusted and filthy from dog urinating on the kennels (guess they never clean them). Recently they repainted the outside but should have used the money to fix the kennels that are held together with rope, chicken wire, etc. ALWAYS smells bad. more

Traveling as much as I do it is a genuine relief that there is a full service kennel like Canine Courtyard in our area. Great staff of caring people who really want to take care of your ?child? and make you happy as a customer. The kennel provides overnight boarding for me and has done so for the past 18 months WITHOUT any issues whatsoever! The staff is very friendly, can provide a large amount of pet care advice and information if asked for and the facility is always clean and free of odors? Love their doggie ?daycare? and play areas and the best thing is that they use CC cameras to constantly monitor all areas of their building. Nice Job Canine Courtyard! more

I recently had my 3 dogs at this kennel. The staff seemed to really enjoy their job and the animals that were there. The kennels are metal cages that sit on a concrete floor. They had beds in some of the kennels and others had blankets on the floor. What attracted me to this facility was the pricing (very affordable), location, and the fact that they are let out 4 times a day. I left my dogs there for 6 days and when I returned they all seemed fine. 3 days later 2 of my 3 dogs came down with kennel cough. I called and the person I spoke to said she was sorry and that they would step up their cleaning and use more clorox. There was no offer to refund my money or repay me for my vet bills. I realize that kennel cough is an airborne virus and is easy to catch but my dogs have been boarded a number of times just in the past few months and over the last 5 years and we have never had an issue. All I know is that my dogs were healthy when I left them and came down with kennel cough after I br more

Almost all of the cages are rusting and some were only held together with rope. There was poop every where outside and some in the isles. They are the cheapest kennel around for a reason. more

My dogs really enjoy their stay when they go to Canine Courtyard. I have 3 dogs, which can be expensive when I need to kennel them, but with the affordable prices that Canine Courtyard offers, it provides the care and love for my pets that I expect at an affordable price. The staff members are also very attentive to my dogs during their stay. I highly recommend their facility. more

My dogs have stayed here a couple of times. They seem to be well cared for, and the staff does a good job. My only complaint is that it is such a large kennel, that it seems to get pretty chaotic which is hard on my older dog. more

We had our dogs stay there overnight at the Canine Courtyard a couple of times. They good really good care of them and seemed to show care and concern for our dogs. Since our dogs were able to stay in the same kennel, they gave us a discount. more
